My 83-year-old mother was transferred here following a bout of pneumonia. Overall, the experience…read morewas mixed. I understand that no facility is perfect, and some hiccups are to be expected, but a few issues made her stay more challenging than it needed to be. Unfortunately, her dentures were lost on the first night, which created a significant hardship. Without teeth, she was unable to eat most meals, and the puréed food provided was thick and honestly unappetizing. I ended up bringing her soup each evening so she could eat comfortably. What stood out most was the clear difference between what felt like an "A team" and a "B team." When V, Jennifer, and Mark were on duty, my mother was well cared for--knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. Other staff members seemed less experienced and less warm. The facility is clearly understaffed; while some aides were wonderful, others were not particularly kind. Cora was an absolute doll, but she had far too many patients and not enough support. Teri, the concierge, was truly five-star. Any issue we raised was addressed promptly and professionally. The rehab team--both PT and OT--were amazing and are the primary reason we chose this facility in the first place. They exceeded expectations. Areas for improvement include staffing levels, consistency of care, cleanliness, and food quality, which was mediocre overall. With more support and better oversight, this facility has the potential to be much better, especially given how strong some members of the team truly are.

We have video and voice recordings of her, gasping for air. She can't breathe. Nobody's coming into the room to help her after she's pushed the button she's calling us for help.. It has been a nightmare. Then on the morning of the fourth day, we called to see how she was doing before we go up there and the nurse says she's fine. We get there and she's half dressed. Her oxygen is not in her nose. She's out of it and not speaking, crusted stuff on her eye and it's swollen. She's in a soiled diaper. This is absolutely unacceptable. Every time we call nobody answers at the nurses station.

Patients rights are completely unknown. The first floor seems to have nice people, night 2nd floor…read moreis a nightmare. Patient care is rude , disrespect and down rights cruet.personal privacy doesn't exist.' It's the coldest anywhere, not only temperature but in kindness, gentle handling patients are screamed at talk to they don't have a brain may have dementia but they do not deserve to be screamed like that or treated the way they are. I didn't happen to have either one. I just happen to have a UTI. I thought I would be there for three days, a week later I'm still here. I did complain on yelp how many changes were made at least on the first floor I have no idea whether the second floor made any changes but those nurses need to find another profession. They may have a tough job, but remember, they are the ones that chose it. they figured it would be an easy job and it isn't privacy is no question I go to the bathroom and the door are left open. Also, one of the physical therapist is very good. Her name is Larissa the rest of them questionable they do as little as they possibly can get away with it. They go through my things at night when I'm sleeping and remove my own private belongings then they tell me that that they can't give them back to me unless they list every thing that I have brought from home even though majority of everything I brought from home is an over-the-counter cream bomb devils claw for pain, stool softener, little things that I would be needing to take care of myself at home. The TV is so low that you can't understand what they're saying tiny close caption is so tiny. You can't read it so that's a waste of time altogether. This is against the law that they go through my private things. This is an invasion of privacy and I intend to do whatever I can about it because this is the wrong way to treat anybody no matter who they are no matter what their mental condition or the physical condition they do not have the right to be disrespected and be treated like that. they didn't mean anything unless they made a noise. I happen to be one that's able to make a noise and I got some attention. They will be happy to see me leave. I'm sure but I'm not finished because invasion of my privacy and taking my medication and my things that belong to me and we're harming nobody, I wasn't taking them, I only carry them all the time with me because I never know when I'm going to need them in public. I checked the law and it is against the law so I fully intend to do what I can about it. I had a meeting today with the board apparently that would decide whether I wenthome and they decided that I'm not going home because of the medication things that they found in my pocketbook. Well, we're gonna find one way to get out of here and they will pay for it and it might cost them a lot of money in fines, which is exactly what they deserve. Some of the employees are really wonderful. I can say that Neville, who the pharmacist at night is really a gentleman and keep his word he gave me my medicine on time. Most of them come in, They tell me they don't even know who I am where did that come from? They never heard of me. The assistant administrator apparently came by to see me after the meeting today, to really give me a chewing out about the lotions that I have to rub all my torn shoulder to relieve pain. Now she wants listed every single thing that I take that helps me with pain and to get through life without prescriptions that is completely unnecessary. She does not have to have that and she needs to read the privacy reports again there are no danger to anybody, including myself. This has been an experience. I wish onnobody, but the reason I may be here was because so many of these patients have absolutely no voice they do not know that they can complain to anybody where they even have a right, and if they complain, they'll just simply be labeled as demented ,what they're doing that is unfair. Do not choose a place like this with your loved one because this is one of the worst places you could be to go to die this is certainly a place that I will either die in the place or die trying to get out because it looks like I'm not going to get out anytime soon not unless I complain enough and cause enough problem and they can brace themselves because they never saw a fighter like a lion like me . the state will be in here on them with fines if they don't get their act together real fast and it might happen before I'm out of here Dietitian has worked very hard and understands my condition. He's probably one of the few very capable people a lot of smiling people all promising all kinds of wonderful thing don't believe a word of it.

My stated goal day 1 at CCT was to get back on tennis court 3 months post op. My goal was ignored. I was very fit when operated on - played tennis for 2 hours the day before surgery, I found the exercises given very simple, no exertion whatsoever. Which is fine - they 're the experts, right? I did them religiously 7 days a week (3 in clinic, 4 days at home) thru August 2nd. My issue is that it took 23 clinic visits - until August 2nd - for them to put 1 lb weights on my ankles. Discouraged, that week I saw the surgeon's PA, and a trainer at the gym, and the PT who did my home care after surgery. All agreed that it made no sense to go that slow on a fit and motivated patient like me. So, I quit CCT. Recommendation was that I change PT clinics. I asked the recommended clinic to investigate my insurance. They said all my Medicare (MC) benefits had been used up by CCT. I now know MC has an annual $ cap that was far exceeded by CC Therapy. They apparently asked MC for more coverage because of "medical necessity". But I was never informed of any medical necessity. There were NO goals discussed with me, NO status reports, NO mention of progress made, of lack thereof. Just keep on billing .....
