Pinnacle Plan Design

Pinnacle Plan Design

(1 review)

My company had a 401K plan that Pinnacle Plan Design administered. The plan was ended in 2023, but…read morefor the following two years, Pinnacle charged exorbitant fees to administer the plan even though the plan had been shut down. I did not authorize the fees and told them the fees were excessive, and instead asked if they could provide an hourly breakdown of the costs. They refused to respond to this request. Since then, I have received correspondence from a law firm claiming to represent Pinnacle Plan Design that could be a scam, I'm not entirely sure. They claim they are seeking to collect the amount owed but are instead attempting to bill me for approximately three times the original amount. The firm's name is Morgan, Cohen & Bach. I provided them the same information I sent to Pinnacle requesting an hourly breakdown of the fees incurred. They claim I did not respond to them even though I did respond via email, and are threatening litigation. Again, the letter they sent looks like it could be a scam so I am not sure it is legitimate. Here is what I sent them: -- This is an invoice for administrative costs for a plan that was shut down two years ago. -- I was never told that there would be an annual fee of more than $1600 for the plan which was shut down two years ago. -- I would not have approved your firm proceeding with work had I known that there would be a fee of $1600 annually for the plan that was, again, shut down two years ago. -- Since the plan was shut down two years ago, I have no idea what work would have actually been done under that annual maintenance fee. -- I have asked repeatedly for your firm to instead provide me an hourly accounting for any work that was actually done, and have never received a response. -- I no longer operate the business in question, so there's no incoming revenue to cover the fee for this plan that was shut down two years ago.
