Dr Laura & Dr Mike are a delight & are both wonderful! And as the treating Doctor, Dr Mike is extremely gifted in what he does. Over decades of my life, having seen MANY Chiropractor's & PT's, Acupuncturists, TENS units, "Pain Management" (which is an oxymoron, no pun intended!), I can honestly say that Dr Mike and the SoftWave machine have helped me more than ALL of the other's COMBINED. If you have ANY joint problem, neck, knees, wrists, elbows, shoulders, back, ankles, whatever... just call them, make an appointment to come in and get an evaluation and a SoftWave treatment. I have been seeing Dr. Mike for a couple months now and this review is overdue. I'm feeling so incredibly better I can't believe it. I was 1 year post back surgery and still not able to walk for exercise without pain. After my first softwave session I could actually envision a way through my pain. Like I could finally believe that I would one day be out of my daily, constant pain. I still feel like I'm dreaming- it's truly amazing how this machine breaks down scar tissue and helps me heal. After being in so much pain I am filled with so much gratitude for Dr. Mike and Dr. Laura. I get regular adjustments and Dr. Mike can see and sense where my body is kinked and he adjusts. Had the worst experience ever on a personal level especially with Dr. Laura. Soft wave therapy treatment was good but after a few visits/sessions the true face has been revealed... never had anyone in a doctors office talk to me on the phone with such disrespect when twisting everything I said around and making up things that were never said or done! That was shocking... All I was trying to do is change an appointment (because of an emergency) with no expectations whatsoever and it is not clear why the choice of words and reply back to me were the way they were and why were they this bad and also why the level of "understanding" was the way it was because I was nice enough and patient enough and never and not even once showed or said anything to imply I had any problem for not having options for me. In fact I did not even care and wasn't worried or anxious regarding when my next session would be... She kept on saying and repeating that she can't give me other peoples appointments or expect her not to give them their days(that's when we talked about convenient days and I mentioned Fridays were best for me) and everything was twisted around in a way that I have never had to experience and to me it's not worth going through something like this and on top of it all having to pay that much and then being treated so badly and disrespectfully. I think it was only a matter of time until I would see who they really are as people and can only see now that this was all an act and a "show" in the office to play nice. Dr. Michael was wonderful on the visits but when I tried to explain to him on the phone what happened he never gave me a chance to put in one word and did not want to listen whatsoever, kept cutting me off the whole time talking over me and over my words and that made me realize that he is probably the same way with disrespecting patients and people and that maybe I shouldn't be surprised because this is who they are otherwise they wouldn't be working together for that many years. I'm glad I got the chance to see this before I continued with more sessions and more obligations that cost me a fortune. I spend a lot of money as it is. This is the most amazing treatment that I came across by accident as I was trying to avoid a knee surgery, I'm doing the soft wave with the over there, Dr. Michael, who is a wonderful person, very caring and jovial and his wife Laura works the front office when she's not with patients and she's an absolute doll and easy to work with, but the treatment they gave me is more than words can describe, I can actually do squats, and I've just started to do lunges on a knee that was bone on bone, and the doctors were recommending that I get a total knee replacement. Now I can climb stairs and kneel down carefully, and I have more sessions to complete, but it is just the most amazing stem cell reproduction therapy, and I encourage you to give it a try, they're getting busier and busier by the minute. so you better make an appointment while you can still get in! My daughter has tons of food, allergies and a simple adjustment with Dr. Michael and a few treatments later she is so much better and doesn't complain of her stomach hurting day and night, it was something to do with an adjustment to help her and it has! She doesn't live in the area and he was kind enough to recommend her to someone in her area of Los Angeles that she could get to more easily as she needed repeated treatments on a weekly basis, It's so worth a try if you're trying to save yourself from a surgery, the only bummer is that Insurance does not pick it up and with multiple sessions it can be quite expensive, but I was willing to give it a try rather than to go through a big surgery on both knees, so far so good!! I've been going to Dr. Mike since 2007, not because I was in pain, but because of what I heard. My body was out of alignment! It's just that simple. I want to start by saying everyone was very nice and welcoming HOWEVER I took my 4 week old infant to get adjusted per my lactation consultant's suggestion but I naively assumed they took insurance and they do not! Their website hints that they take some but the reality is they don't take any insurance at least not for infants. That being said we were charged over $200 for 1 visit that included waiting for them to finish up a staff meeting, a consultation that was fine and a mini adjustment. We were there for well over 2 hours which is hell for a new parent with a toddler waiting to be picked up at daycare. They tried to make it better by doing an adjustment and second visit "for free" but they explained it would take a total of 36 visits to see improvement and we just can't do that. I spoke to our lactation consultant and even she agreed that seemed extremely excessive. The lady that helped us was great in demeanor and really tried to connect with our baby but the business itself is strange. Lastly, they do the adjustments in front of everyone pretty much and I have never seen that before... they do have a private room but I had always been adjusted in a private room never out in the open and in sight of everyone in the waiting room or lobby. In short my lactation consultant has now decided to stop recommending them and I sadly would not recommend them either. I really wanted to like them but... I just can't like this. read more
