Treatment is customizable to you, both between traditional medicine and acupuncture, and within the treatment itself. Adjustments are made along the way to ensure you're receiving the best care. Hoyoon Chong is a patient and caring practitioner who clearly gets joy out of what he's doing. He's good at both listening to patients and explaining treatment methods, and his overall bedside manner is very cheerful. I've never felt rushed during the sessions. I've also enjoyed learning more from him about traditional Eastern medicine and how it differs from or is similar to Western medicine. He does a good job of explaining how both can work together and benefit from each other. The office staff here is excellent as well. My insurance can be tricky to process, but it was processed quickly here with no issues or delays. I also appreciate how friendly and kind the staff are every time I arrive. I know when I walk in the door that I'll be greeted with a friendly smile.

She is always on time with her appointments, her manner is most welcoming and calming, and her treatment rooms are clean and neat. I went to Dr. Hu over six months ago because I could not get relief for the pain and numbness in my leg that was caused by slipping on black ice in February of 2015. I tried chiropractic treatments, but the numbness remained. Before I resorted to the opioids and nerve blocks of traditional medicine, my sister (a functional medicine specialist) suggested that, if I tried acupuncture, my numbness might go away.  I did; it did. It was like a miracle. I am able to walk again without discomfort. Dr. Hu's skill in using the appropriate treatment regimen has been so satisfying that I intend to continue working with her to take advantage of her skill in using acupuncture to promote overall well-being.  While I still don't know how those needles work, I do get the point--pain relief, renewed energy, and overall well-being.
