I love shops that utilizes all their spaces whether its inside or outside, and especially when the owners recognize the opportunities before them - there are several areas that incorporate a variety of plants some are inside some are displayed in the open air and others fill a small carport. It looks like the owners not only have an eye for rusty gold they also have a green thumb. I love barn finds and this place definitely has lots of those if you're willing to explore a little. The owner was very welcoming and has priced items to sale I have the feeling cash is king here so if you find something you can't live without put an offer out there. The Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland is part of the Wildwood Antique Mall chain. Wildwood Antique Mall claims to be one of the largest antique dealers in Florida. It was started in 2011, when 77-year-old Manny Pesco took his last $4,000 from his former auction business that had closed because of the 2008 recession and invested the money into the first Wildwood Antique Mall that took its name from the intersection it is located on. Other locations opened in Eustis, Vero Beach, and Titusville opened in the intervening years and the investment turned out to be a good one since all of the locations do around 5 million dollars annually. What makes this antique mall different from the other stores in the chain is the abundance of merchandise available from the theme parks. I found booths for both Universal and Disney items. The fun starts when you walk in the door and there is a carriage from Disney's Port Orleans resort out front and you are greeted by a velociraptor straight out of Universal Studios just inside the door. Wildwood Antique Mall of Lakeland has all of the typical booths of antiques you would expect to find but my favorite booths were the ones filled with Disney and Universal Studios merchandise. Recycling the Magic had a Splash Mountain log flume car, Vault Collectibles sells Disney and Universal studios props, and Melly's Remarket sells Disney art. My favorite booth was the Jurassic World Tribute store in the back of mall with a ton of Universal Studio items. They had an extensive horror collection and many other one of a kind items. I especially loved all of the Haunted Mansion items I found throughout the mall. If you are a theme park fan like me this is a must stop if you are in Lakeland. Prices for the real collectibles were more than I could afford but I found a Haunted Mansion Loungefly for only $25. There is something for everyone. Allow a few hours for a visit because this antique mall feels never ending. I could have easily spent all day here.

Later in the day I wasn't too far away in Winter Haven so I stopped in. She wasn't exaggerating about the grand scale of this antique store. Susan and Diego Barreiro opened their business in 2000. They started working out of their den on Havendale Boulevard in Winter Haven but they outgrew the space so in 2014 they moved to this location. In 2022 they won Best of Haven, Best Antique Store. Treasure House Antiques and Collectibles is located in a former funeral home. There is 10, 000 square feet of inventory and 42 vendors. After receiving a greeting I was free to explore room after room filled with treasures, clothing, furniture and home goods. Some of my favorite discoveries were the vintage holiday decorations, mid century Christmas tree, vintage Pyrex, and vintage stove. Prices seemed very reasonable. Clothes started at $5, antiques and collectibles started at $5, and furniture started at $10. If you love vintage and antiques as much as I do, this is definitely a stop you want to make in Winter Haven.

We were greeted when we walked in and thanked for stopping by when leaving. It took us about an hour to walk through and had a lot of things we had never seen before, including some which created nostalgia. They did have air conditioning and fans all over the place, except in the garage, which could use them the most. An issue which cut our time short in that area due to the extreme heat. The prices seemed reasonable, but unfortunately, we did not find that, "had to have" item. We will be adding this to our frequent list, despite the travel time from Ocala. My only issue was there was so much stuff on the shelves, at times, it made it hard to see it all and the layout of the store is a bit confusing, which probably can't be helped due to the age of the house. I especially loved the mix of old and new--everything from the contemporary Temptations cookware I love to the vintage Pyrex I adore. One booth even had an incredible wall of Loungefly bags. I could spend hours in here and and still find something I didn't see earlier. They have a great selection from vintage toys, home decor, Pokemon cards to homemade jams. The prices were fair unlike other antique stores I've been to before. Staff was not only hilarious but most helpful. If you like hunting for vintage items then this is your place. On the day I visited they had a sidewalk sale set up in the side alley. Ella's is a Dixie Belle Paint dealer. They are also sell antique, vintage, and shabby chic furniture, wallets, Christmas decorations, plants and pots, decorative bottles, funny signs, ornaments, pottery, bird houses, jewelry, vintage cameras, nuts, chocolate, cups, hats, t shirts, toys, honey, candles, jams, jellies, sauces, and dressings. Items can be custom engraved. I loved the delicate bird ornaments and the gift baskets filled with tasty treats. The owners were friendly and chatting with everyone who came in. There was a giant old school Mickey that greeted me at the door. I immediately gravitated to a large stack of pancakes that serve as a dish cover. Realistic food props are always my favorite accessory to buy for a house. In the back of the store was a large section of items from theme parks. Not just inside the parks themselves, but also pieces from hotels. Like even the phones from the hotel rooms! You can find all sorts of stuff. If you are into spooky stuff and like Halloween, there was lots of props and signs from Halloween Horror Nights. It was nice to see real antiques. Sometimes you go to antique stores but there are lots of vendors inside that have faurly new stuff. Mostly it was antiques. I purchased a few things like the stack of pancakes cover and a silver serving tray. I thought both items were priced decent. Definitely visit here while in Lakeland.
