This office has been incredible for my family. The staff is professional and friendly. The nurses are so kind and the entire staff makes you feel like you feel comfortable. Dr. Sass is so nice and friendly and easy to talk to. It feels like we are guests in their home. They are so good at listening to our concerns and have solutions ! Jacki has equally been such a comfort in stressful times where we have been looking for solutions for skin problems. The lack of respect for patients time is unacceptable. Walked into "we are running 30-40 min behind". 60 min later get into appt. PA's are nice but the sheer lack of respect for our time is out of line. No calls to let you know ahead. The front desk stated they have 150 patients a day and can't call them all! Terrible experience! Will no longer go there. Arrived on time, waited 50 minutes, was told I was "next up", another patient was called in, waited 10 more minutes then canceled my appointment. In addition, 2 days prior had gotten reminder call from a woman who sounded like a kindergarten teacher talking to a kindegartener. When I called in after leaving to have my copayment credited I had the misfortune of this same woman answering. Went online to email or text a credit request but saw no way to do that. This management of this practice is spectacularly bad. Crazy long wait times once you arrive for appointments. Expect at least 45 min in the waiting room. If follow up is proscribed 8 weeks out, it will be 12-16 before you can actually get an appointment. It's insane. Zero stars. read more

I am new to three rivers dermatology, however, I have been delighted with the staff at the front desk on both sides of the practice. They have been so kind and patient and informative. There was an issue with an appointment I had made. They had to reschedule me because the PA was out sick, the young lady went out of her way to get me rescheduled as quickly as possible. I'm not great at names or I would give these gals a shout out!! it is a dramatic difference, comparing it to the dermatologist office I left - I have smiled every time I've come in and left! Three Rivers Dermatology is a treasure right here in Ft Wayne. Dr Sass is an experienced, knowledgeable physician who can be trusted to provide the very best care. I recently had a concern and he listened and gave me feedback and he cared. My husband and I trust his advice. The PAs Michelle and Jen are extremely knowledgeable and supportive. Michelle is gifted! Sydney is my favorite in the spa but truly all of the staff is amazing. This is a skin care spa that cares about giving you great skin care, advice and help. The PA's are amazing. However, the staff isn't always the friendliest and they continue to overbook people and you wait nearly 2 hours every time we go in for an appointment. They also messed up a prescription and because of that wanted us to reschedule and pay again to "be seen". read more

I've been at patient here for 15 years and my children for the last 11. I've found Dr. Sass and his staff to be professional and accommodating, both to my needs and time. Office: clean and near in appearance. The have TV's but they are not in use. They play soft music as you wait. It smells fresh and clean in the office as well. They have no idea how to administer filler. And I mean NO IDEA. He put it above my lip under my nose, Then went back to have the filler he put above my lip dissolved (a first in 30 years), then he tried to fix and my lips were completely lopsided. Went to another place to fix and they said, "someone had no idea what they were doing." They had to dissolve it and do it all over. Do not go here for filler. read more

This review is based solely on customer service and not the doctors who practice @ Three Rivers Dermatology. After being told it would be end of July to get into FW Dermatology & the doctor I had seen in the past was now retired, I decided to call Three Rivers as recommended by a coworker. I stated I was trying to get in for an appointment and the receptionist explained they were booked until 8/16...more than two months from now. As I go on to explain that I have a large dark spot that has popped up on my hand out of no where and does not seem to be disappearing - oh wait, I was cut off by the rudest receptionist I have encountered in a long time with. "Well...August 16th is the earliest we can see you and if that doesn't work then you'll have to go somewhere else." I am sure the upper level management would love to know you brushed off my concern and even recommended I call somewhere else. If I wasn't so rudely interrupted this receptionist would then hear me say that my family has a history of skin cancer and other skin issues. I was so upset with how rude she was I did in fact say "Okay, I will call other places." and hung up. I get that a lot of people argue with the timeframe that certain doctor offices give, but this is not just a regular check-up and I know many doctor offices leave spots open for "emergencies." Sad that this rude receptionist ruined any chance of me scheduling an appt. read more

Dr. Sass has saved my skin!!!! A customer at my work asked me very rudely if i ever tried to get help for my skin and gave me their business card. So naturally when I first heard of Three Rivers I was a bit apprehensive but I am so thankful I went!!! Granted the pictures on the top I am hiding behind my cat (in most pictures I was hiding behind something before my skin got better) so it is a little harder to see the severity of my skin condition before Dr. Sass but in the bottom two pictures I am only wearing a bb cream which provides little to no coverage on my skin. Dr. Sass takes time with each patient and ensures them the best care. Before Dr. Sass I tried everything to fix my skin from chemical peels to natural remedies and everything in between. I've been to many other dermatologists in Fort Wayne and they are nowhere near as compassionate and welcoming as Dr. Sass and his staff. I cannot tell anybody how much of a difference he has made in my skin. And he did not give up until we reached the results I had been hoping for. read more

I went to Three Rivers Dermatology for about three years when I lived in Fort Wayne, and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Dr. Sassmanshausen ("Dr. Sass") and Michelle are both outgoing, good communicators, and straightforward with their suggestions for treatment. The nurses and staff are friendly as well, and you will never leave without samples or discount cards. The office itself is a new location, bigger and nicer than their former home, so it's a nice environment to be in. My only complaint is the wait time for both getting appointments and for seeing the doctors. If you've never been before, expect to have a 3-4 week wait to get in for an appointment, and then once you are there for your appointment, expect to wait between 30 and 45 minutes in the office and potentially longer in the examination room. I will say, however, that they were very accomodating when I was home from college and called one day to see if they could squeeze me in for my 5-minute treatment; I didn't even have to wait for that one! In my opinion, I'd rather wait a while and see a doctor I like and who is friendly, than be in-and-out and feel like I'm a burden or just another check mark on a doctor's schedule. I'd recommend Three Rivers for all those families in SWAC who are looking for a dermatologist. read more

I took my daughter here last night to get her ears pierced and when she woke up this morning the back to one of them had fallen off and not able to be found (they are clear plastic). I called to see about getting an additional earring back and was told "This never happens, the earring backs clip into place"...Not helpful because it did happen! I was told I would have to buy a whole new piercing kit ($40.00 by the way) if I wanted the extra back for the earring. Nothing else fits them so we really had no choice. Clearly it was not pierced correctly if "this never happens" So pissed! I would never recommend going here at least for ear piercing. read more

Dr. Sass & Michelle care about the patient, they don't just get you in/out like other offices do. They spend time really trying to understand the problem. Dr. Sass is funny and to the point. He makes my kids feel comfortable too with his silly demeanor. The confer with each other during appointments too, which I love, because that means they consider it a team effort. They also go out of there way to find which pharmacy has the least expensive cost of your prescription, even if it is a mail order place! read more

This review is primarily about Windy Ridge Skin Care Center. This place is so good, I take two buses to get there. I wanted advanced care for my skin, now that I am a woman of a certain age, but I wanted to go to a skin care center connected to a dermatologist in case there was a problem with a procedure. It just instilled more confidence in me. I found it with Windy Ridge. From the time I walk in until the time I leave, I feel personally cared for. Staff always greets me, and I am escorted to a comfortable lounge/waiting room with snacks, tea, lemon water. Amanda is the aesthetician who cared for my skin, and she is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Packages are available at special prices, and they also hold events twice or three times a year. Such a great experience each time I go. Wouldn't go anywhere else for peels, facials, etc. SkinMedica products are used and sold there. If you are looking for a specialized skin care experience, Windy Ridge is my recommendation. read more

The Dr (Dr. Sass) was great. When we went to pay our bill just like any other medical bills (HSA) they never took it out of the account. My guess they are VERY unorganized. Everyone except the dr was rude. He told the nurse we needed a back wash (that they make there) the nurse just points us in the direction of where we needed to go. This was in there Spa area. The lady that was sitting behind the desk just looked at us. We then asked about the wash the Dr told us about she handed it to us, we asked a few more questions and she seemed reluctant to help or to even want to talk to us. The entire time we were there we had the feeling of a better than attitude. I almost expect this from Mc Donalds but a Dermatologists office in SW Fort Wayne! Geeze! read more

My daughter had a small cyst removed from her forehead the size of a pimple. The procedure went fine. However, I received two bills one for the procedure. The more expensive bill was for the testing that was done on what they removed. When I called I was told that this was standard for anything they removed and that I had signed a document agreeing that this was ok. If they would have specifically told me the cost, I would have explained that I was not concerned about what they were removing and I would have stated that I did not want to incur the extra expense. I was told that they would have done it no matter what my wishes were. I don't like it when doctors make uniform decisions about tests that cost me a lot of money!!! read more

this place is an absolute joke. my wife is a melanoma cancer survivor. we went to three rivers for 2 years. every time we noted a new spot, we would bring it up to the dr. he always said just keep an eye on it. never biopsied anything. his exams were usually 2 minutes long, the whole appointment maybe 5 minutes. never looked at my wifes head. the spots that we were concerned with continued to grow and change. we finally decided to go to a different dr. in the parkview group. the first appoint we had, she biopsied a spot on her back we were worried about, and sent us to a eye specialist for one on her eye lid. the one on here back was precancerous melanoma. the one on her eye we have to get biopsied by a specialist. the dr. at parkview asked if we have had appointments with a m.d eye doctor,dentist or obgyn to check for melanoma. the dr at three rivers never brought up going to a dentist, md eye doctor or obgyn for further melanoma checks. after all this, three rivers has the nerve to bill me for the last appointment. its only $225, but i refuse to pay this bill. had we continued to go to three rivers, there's no doubt in mind my wife's melanoma would have been caught in late stages. when you walk into this place , it looks more like a spa than a drs office. its clear that all they care about is selling you product, not your health. read more
