Wow, like a deep tissue massage without all the bruises. Seems like the practitioner knows their stuff, since a couple of medical issues were definitely being "worked on" during the course of the session after the needles were placed. Also, can we please stop saying "needles"?! I'm a little needle phobic *tiny bit*, but they were surprisingly no big deal *YAY* The practitioner is very gentle, calming, surprisingly intuitive and overall a pleasure to interact with. I look forward to next my next session *super relaxing* Pros: -They take most insurances, call to verify yours ahead of time *things change* -My initial appt was for a medical insurance consultation. Makes sense since they have to get pre-approved for insurance payments (mine is approved for 12-sessions in advance). No acupuncture during this initial assessment. -Insurance approved in ~1 week (faster than expected) -Appointments can be with anyone in the office, you can alternate as you wish *love the flexibility* -Private rooms are cozy and set-up for optimal relaxation (music and water feature in each) -Very hygienic and No strong smells of any kind. -They also have a Medford office -Private parking lot for customers *Ashland parking can be challenging at times* Cons, because that's what we yelpers wanna know: -The most popular acupuncturist splits their time between the Ashland/Medford offices *PLAN AHEAD* -Not affordable (without insurance) for ongoing maintenance treatment *in my opinion*

I appreciate that she asks excellent diagnostic questions every time I see her and really listens to my answers. We have excellent rapport. This past winter I became quite ill with RSV. The Chinese herbal tea that she concocted for me made an extremely positive difference in my healing. It immediately stopped my sore throat pain and reduced, and ultimately eliminated, my racking, spasmodic cough. These 5 stars are for her. I would give her 10 if I could. Unfortunately to get an appointment with Alex I must go through Jenn. For some reason, from the first time I called Jenn has thought it acceptable to be rude to me, to have a sharp edge to her tone when speaking with me, and, in general, to talk down to me. She is incorrect. Life is simply too short to deal with folks who give themselves permission to behave this way so I will not be calling for an appointment again.

To me this type of service in the charm of the Rogue Valley is one of the reasons I've come to love this place.

Over the years, she has helped me successfully manage leg pain, improve my sleep, balance my hormones and bowels and reduce anxiety. One of the biggest benefits I've experienced is maintaining a strong constitution and immune system. I rarely get sick, and when I do, my illnesses tend to be mild and short-lived. Their treatments have helped me stay resilient, energized, and balanced even during stressful times. She is knowledgeable, compassionate, and her and her staff are genuinely invested in my well-being. I am incredibly grateful for the care I've received and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a natural and effective way to support their health.

I highly recommend coming to Golden Way and giving acupuncture a try.

EVERY time (since 1992) I have experienced this kind of treatment I have had positive results, but with this clinic I had mild response the first time only. The following 4 treatments ... NOTHING. Besides lack of understanding of how to treat me, the negativity resulted in the fact that patients receive treatment as they sit in old recliners. I was stunned to see this because anyone who has had back and neck issue knows that the typical recliner does NOT provide proper support, so you sit there VERY STILL for an hour to and hour and a half in an uncomfortable position. The other reason for the poor review is the doc himself. I found him condescending and lackadaisical in attitude ... leaving patients alone after inserting needles, never checking in with them or applying additional attention to the needles. He is not willing to consider much of your history or current medical information. He uses front side body treatments only, so if you need work from backside points, you won't get it there. After I thought about things he said to me, I really came away with a feeling that this guy thinks his way is the only way. I never trust anyone with that perspective! I usually don't leave reviews with this much negativity, but this guy really needs to consider how and what he does. It's like a machine in that clinic ... get 'em in, needle them, get 'em out. I've never experienced acupuncture this way and I don't care to ever again.

Needless to say that my wife was very glad she did the treatment and we will make sure we include a visit to Rosie Acupuncture whenever we are in town. On a side note, his establishment was filled with regular patients during our one hour visit, which in my opinion validates the success of his business.

I am very aware of my body and what works to heal the flare up. I asked for cupping, she doesn't do this any longer but does do Gua Sha. She started with an acupuncture treatment then moved on to the Gua Sha, which was great, she found and worked on the area in pain, then ended with massage and some liniment. I left feeling much better and on the mend. I appreciated her working with me and letting me give input as to how to work on me, and balancing that with her knowledge. If I lived here I would see her again. Thank you Nicole for fitting me in and taking such good care! Best Peggy
