I remember going here when I was very small so my sister could have music lessons. It looks just the same. Mehas really does everything. They have a music school. They rent instruments for school kids. They do service and repair. They have Jam Camps. And they don't chase you down as soon as you enter like a lot of guitar stores. Yikes. I think they also order some things for customers. You'll have to ask details on that. I have no specifics. The building is in Historic Downtown Hamilton. The building originally housed a Fitton and Brother store. The lower level was a saloon in the late nineteenth century.

The employees in this store are authentic, extremely helpful and friendly. The teacher is great and they have two printing presses. I've made prints - one of them hangs in my sons home proudly. Also, used the prints to put onto tote bags. They were exploring screen printing recently. Other classes include photography, mosaics, music, pottery, yoga and jewelry making. I've tried to do business with them and have never been successful. They declined a brass repair of mine at one of their instrument repair locations which is now closed, but was very unprofessional about it. Last week my 13 year old and I spent several days choosing a new trigger trombone for him stepping up from his entry level trombone. We ended up choosing one on the Willis Music website with his middle school band instructor's approval and placed the order with Willis online late one evening. This was one within our budget and checked all of our boxes plus it was new...we thought we were going to need to take our chances on a used model. Credit card was charged. I woke up the next morning to my son still super excited asking when it would arrive, and that he had already been awake two hours watching videos and reading about it. I was really excited for him. Later that morning I received an email that the order had been canceled and a refund would be issued with no alternatives offered. They said it had been discontinued, but the manufacturer still makes this model just with a new backpack style case which is the one they displayed in their listing. They ended offering to get us that same trombone we had purchased (because it wasn't discontinued), but it would be $600 more than I had paid on their website the night before. They also assured me this $600 additional was a great deal. Such a scam and a waste of time. They certainly don't attempt to make things right in any way...unreal let down for my son. I wouldn't trust them and especially their website/online ordering. This also had our budget tied up in the authorization on my card for a week. We ordered a used trigger trombone on eBay, and will be taking it to Mehas Music to have it checked out, cleaned and any repairs.

I discovered this vinyl shop on Yelp. I was pleased with the reviews that my Mr. and I had to pay…read morethem a visit on a Saturday afternoon. They are fairly new (I believe they've been opened for a year), but have a lot to offer. Their prices are set by 3 prices (for used records). -Red stickers are $5.00 -Yellow stickers are $10.00 -Green stickers are $15.00 Some are priced individually if they don't have colored stickers. Which is very reasonable. They have .50 cent and $3.00 bins on the bottom of the shelves which are in fairly good condition and nice selection. Left with a ton of $3.00 finds! The store itself is very organized, categorized, not cluttered and overstocked. Easy to maneuver and get around. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. They don't have a listening station but willing to play a record if you want to test it out. They do sell used stereo equipment, CDs, cassettes, Newly pressed Vinyls, new record players, accessories, and T-shirt's with their logo. I'm so glad we stopped by. Crate digging was so much fun and left with a lot of great vinyls. Can't wait to go back!
