So I'm wondering when the first letter got dropped off where was it going to go. To the 2nd pony express location? Who knows? I did not find out the answer to that on my visit here. I pulled up and the place was closed. But 2 super cool little old ladies were stopping by to unlock it because one had locked her keys inside. As a result of their kindness I was given a brief tour of the inside of the place. It's like a lot of old buildings. Storied, rustic, low ceilings and basically made entirely of wood. Some brochures, some gift shop items (I got a magnet woop), and something tells me that there's never a long line to get in. It's not far from the interstate, and it's kind of situated in a calm and relaxing park so I mean, yeah...all good things. Stop by if you're passing through. Get a magnet. That's what I did. You should do it too.

I've been buying beer and vodka and cashews in the package, today,after 4 months of…read morebuying beer and alcohol at cork and cap,I just moved back to Nebraska after being gone for 5 years, tonight...I made a joke, although not thinking or intentionally towards the boy employee....and as soon as I knew it offended him...I apologized several times and told him I didn't mean anything... that I was joking,but he got pissed off and said after my apology he was not going to sell me the 4 beers and put them back on the shelf..... when I pulled up to get my beer,he was standing outside with a girl, I assume he was pissed I interrupted what ever was going on...if I decide,I'm going to blast this all over cozad that the customer service from this boy is totally unexceptionable! In the future,I plan on doing my business at Casey's! That boy does not belong or have the retail experience for patrons in cozad....buy your alcohol at Sonny's or Casey's....that boy needs to be fired! I'm sure there is plenty of other young kids in cozad that need a job!

One of the best parts of a road trip, is the inevitable detour to a truck stop…read more Whilst rolling to Lincoln, I stopped at this truck stop for 2 reasons. 1. We needed fuel, and I needed to stretch my legs. and 2. The choices were an elegant, very bright and very corporate Shell station if we turn left. Or the almost spooky rode hard and put away wet family looking owned (not AS corporate) Sinclair station / Truck oasis with a road house bar/restaurant in the parking lot if we turn right. I opted for the Sinclair station, they weren't as busy, the fuel price was the same and I'm a fan of supporting smaller companies/family run places. Now Sinclair may gross more $ than Shell, but the stop looked interesting so they got my business. On the door as you walk in is a flyer proclaiming that as of some specific date I cannot recall, this fuel stop is 100% smoke free! Behind the counter was a lady who greeted me with a smile and a cigarette hanging from her mouth. Mama and the kids went to make use of the facilities. The potty was clean enough, nothing scary, smelled of chlorine and was kept up. The selection of Jerky was amazing, 3 different end caps, 5 different brands. Hell ya, this is what road tripping is all about. If only they had Alabama's greatest hits on CD for .99 cents. Maybe they did, I just couldn't find it. Word.
