However, due to the vintage theme and my specific and apparently unusual tastes, I had no luck. I wanted a dress with a fitted bodice, flowy comfortable skirt and flutter sleeves. I was hoping to find something that fit these parameters and had a vintage flair. After doing a ton of research, I came across Moonlight and Moss. I totally thought a custom dress would be out of my budget, but when I talked to Shelbi, I realized that a dress off the rack plus alterations would be about the same price as a custom gown! Amazing! So I met with her and brought a simple drawing of the dress I envisioned. She was so receptive and immediately found me 3-5 options of vintage-style lace for the bodice. Shortly after our meeting she also sent me her fashion magazine drawing of the dress and I knew she knew what I had in mind! We had maybe 5-7 meetings in the next 4-5 months, with a mock-up and tweaking and making sure that the dress fit exactly perfect and had all the little details right. I ended up with the dress of my dreams and it fit me like a glove! The final product was a dress with a fitted v-neck bodice covered in art deco lace, flutter sleeves that continued along the back line of the bodice, a gorgeous multi-layered chiffon skirt and a super convenient and subtle bustle. And a huge bonus, I made my own veil and Shelbi was so so helpful in helping me find the right kind of tulle and lace! I was hoping for the jacket to be done. It wasn't touched. They did measurements again. And sent me away. Which was frustrating because we did measurements already. And I was running out of time. It's also inconvenient because I don't live very close. So to have to make that drive for a two minute measurement redo. When I already did it day one was also frustrating. I came in on the last possible day for the jacket and the entirety of the sleeve was not done. They did some adjustments but not all. I told them it's still tight and I needed this jacket by today. They said they could get it done by end of day. Luckily they came through and the price wasn't bad at all! Only $25 for both sleeves. Believe me I am grateful. But I wish they didn't procrastinate the jacket. The fact it sat there for an entire week untouched when they said I'd get it sooner than my last possible date to get it wasn't good to see. It would be nice if they gave clearer communication on certain things. Like a timeline and price. I had no idea what I would be paying until it was time to pay. And that I was told I'd get it sooner than the 15. But it wasn't ready until the 15 and gave us little room for error.

Tip Top today (August 3, 2026) charged me a $15.00 storage fee for one shirt that didn't even cost $15.00. I asked that they should have called me prior to when the storage fee was to go into effect. They said they called us several times. I asked them to prove that they called us prior to last week. They refused to attempt to prove any prior calls to us. I stated I would never be back, and they said that was fine with them. No, I'm sorry Sir or any comment like they wanted to keep me as a customer. I could understand if I was in the habit of leaving my dry cleaning over 30 days on a regular basis. This was my first time that I forgot. I would have expected a one time exception and waived the fee. I guess they make a policy of not calling before the late fee goes into effect so they can make that extra money.
