However, they do offer slightly different vantage points of the canyon. You can see directly down into "the silent city" from here and get a distant view of Thor's hammer (famous rock formation). This is also a starting point for some of the best hikes in the park, eg if you do the Wall Street/Navajo loop to Queen's garden (counter clockwise loop).

The Toadstool Hoodoos are cool rock formations formed by differential erosion. They look like…read moremushrooms, as the harder rock caps and protects the softer rock underneath. The hike is an easy 1.5 miles. The views at the end are worth it, and you can get close to the rock formations as you like (although don't topple the rocks!). It's suitable for families with small children. If you don't mind driving on an unpaved road (I did it in a 2WD sedan), check out House Rock Valley Road for unparalleled views of the landscape with swirling sandstone, painted hills, and other cool rock formations. Check out the Wire Pass Trail for amazing slot canyons, although check the weather. If there's any chance for rain, do not enter the slot canyons since the formations channel water and form deadly floods in the canyon. The visitor center in Kanab is huge, with lots of good pamphlets and displays about the geology and archaeology of the area.

You get a stunning view over the hoodoos and the canyon regardless of where you are, but I think this spot offers the most "expansive" vantage. It also has the most info signs along the short walk to the view point (it's like 100 feet long, pretty short). There is a small parking lot, i had no trouble finding a spot but there were only a few available. There is a lot of turnover here though since it isn't a hike, you just go and look/take pics and leave. Definitely recommend this spot if you only have a chance to go to one overlook!!

With 360 degree panoramic views of the natural hoodoos at 8,300 feet of elevation, Bryce Point provides some of the best views that you'll be able to see within the park. I'm talking jaw dropping ladies and gents! The natural hoodoo amphitheater literally surrounds this very viewpoint. Bryce Point is also the starting and ending point for several popular hiking trails including the Rim Trail. This is very popular landmark as you can imagine, and it can get pretty busy. Despite this, there's plenty of parking and lots of space for to take pictures or just to simply enjoy the view. There's a paved walkway that will lead you all the way down to the vista point area. It gets SUPER windy down there! In the summertime, the wind feels perfect. But, I can imagine that it would be freezing during the spring and winter. Hold on to your hats and phones because it can definitely get blustery. Everything about Bryce Point is amazing. If you're making a visit out to Bryce Canyon, make sure to make a stop at Bryce Point before you leave.

Even if you don't stop to do any trails, the drive is gorgeous, with pull outs and shoulders to park at and gawk at the rock formations. (I'm not sure if you're supposed to be parking on the side of the road, but a lot of people were doing it!) There a bunch of informational signs outside the visitor center which provide information driving tours, hikes, ecology of the area, etc. From the parking lot are trail heads to hoodoo & birdseye trail, and also pink ledges trailhead. It's also one of the highest viewpoints within the park at over 8,800 feet of elevation. Getting there is easy and doesn't require any kind of additional hiking or trekking. You just have to make the drive there from the visitor's center. However, if you're already planning on taking a scenic drive through the park, then it should be easy to hit on your way to or from Rainbow Point since you'll already be passing it by. The views are truly beautiful and feature some very unique hoodoo formations. Parking is super easy and you can literally pull into a parking space right from the road. Would recommend this quick stop on your scenic drive through Bryce Canyon National Park.

Rainbow Point is one of the highest viewpoints in the park, and it is absolutely stunning. It's at…read morethe southern end of the main park road, and you pass by multiple viewpoints and pullouts on the way there. I recommend driving first to Rainbow Point and if interested, hiking one of the hikes there (there are three: 1.0 mi Bristlecone Loop, 8.8 mi Riggs Spring Loop and 23 mi Under-the-Rim Trail), and then traveling back to the center of the park and looking at the views on the way down. It can get crowded at the parking lot, so try to beat the crowds by going early. If you time it to be early morning with sunrise, the colors pop out even more! You can easily see why it's called Rainbow Point. There are vault toilets and benches here, but no running water. Plan accordingly

This is a quick little stop on the scenic drive to Rainbow Point. I personally think it's worth it…read moreto pull over and take a look. You get a clear view of the geologic feature and it makes for awesome photos. This natural bridge is different from other natural bridges. Usually, natural bridges are formed by the movement of a stream or river cutting through rock and undermining a portion of the rock to create a gap. However, this one is a natural arch formed primarily by the expansion of ice in cracks deep within. You can tell that the sides of the arch are more angular than other rock formations. There are no toilets or other services at this stop, but it's so quick that I wouldn't expect it to. It's a neat surprise bonus feature of the park amongst all the hoodoos.

I usually rise about an hour before sunrise, brew a cup of coffee, unless it's already waiting at the front desk, throw on some layers, and make my way to the rim to see what the sky has in store. This point offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of the Bryce Amphitheater, where thousands of hoodoos ignite in fiery hues as the morning sun climbs. With each passing minute, the colors shift and the sky begins to paint itself. It's quiet and peaceful. Most visitors are still tucked into their warm beds, and for the few who stand beside me in the cold, I offer a knowing smile. We understand what it means to be here, to witness a moment that will live in our hearts long after the day has passed. From this vantage, you can access the Rim Trail, descend into Queen's Garden, or connect to the Navajo Loop for a variety of scenic hikes. As always, check trail conditions on the National Park website, especially if you're visiting in fall or winter when closures are more common.
