I had the unfortunate luck to have to go here for my Florida Physical Therapy License test. As a professional testing center, their conduct could not have been less professional. On January 18, 2020, I arrived for my 4:00 PM test at 3:15 PM only to find out that there was a "testing emergency" at the location that morning and that it was now closed. When I inquired about what type of emergency had befallen the center, I was told that they could not discuss that with me and that I would have to call back during normal business hours because it was the weekend. The weekend you say, I did not notice because I was studying for my test for the past week. If only the technology existed for them to have gotten this news to testing candidates sooner. A phone call, nope. Email, what is that? Raven, not native to Florida sorry. Instead, the crack staff of administrators decided that the best way to get this news out to candidates was to have them drive out to Doral so they could deliver it in person. How thoughtful. I would say go to another company for your test but that might not be possible because... well, Florida. Instead, just prepare yourself that you may have to deal with careless and incompetent staff members who will show little if any concern for your schedule or the child care that you arranged for the test. Thanks for nothing. Let me know where to send the bill for the babysitter that I did not actually need. read more

Other than the extremely rude manager Angela at the front, I would have given this place a 5. Upon walking in she was extremely unprofessional, mocking myself and other test takers. Every word of mine was replied with a sarcastic or mean comment. To take a test at such a facility is a considerable expense, and to have someone getting in your head and perhaps making you upset prior to taking your test is an inconvenience I think many will decide to avoid the next time they test. read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. Have had several problems with this poorly run franchise location. The latest? Confirmed test time, only to find out the morning of that my test was canceled by the test center. This franchisee is a joke. They need to either hire better people or learn how to show up themselves. Hopefully Prometric will yank their franchise license from them. read more

Worst testing center ever, thanks to their unpleasant and SLOW staff team. They give you such a bad attitude and energy that your nerves get worst. Two of the ladies from there work as if they hate their lives and jobs it's really sad and upsetting to have to deal with this type of environment on a very stressful day for a test taker. Unfortunately, this is the only center close by for me. I hope management does something about it because it a very unpleasant experience visiting this center. read more

They only get 2 stars because the parking was OK and easy to find. And the temperature in the room was acceptable. I went to this location to take my GRE. In general, the staff is rude. I know they probably have to regurgitate the same rules to everyone, but they have to slow it down a bit and not talk 50 words per second. It was my first time taking the GRE and being there-it's not like am telepathic. Plus, idk if it is a rule placed by ETS but 2 sheets of paper isn't enough for a whole exam. Like stop with the nonsense I didn't pay $205 for this. When I requested another sheet it took a while before the staff even acknowledged me. This was annoying because my time wasn't paused and my hands were busy holding the sheet up. In the end this place is a set up with materials and it's depressing/stressful vibes. Don't waste your money taking a test here. Seemed like a place people are miserable working at and want to make your take feel it. read more

Pro Tip: If you're coming from 79th Ave, make the turn onto NW 53rd Street. Do not (I repeat, *DO NOT*) take Geneva NW 48th Way. Google Maps tends to get confused, so do not take the latter. Unless of course you're pit-stopping at a friend's apartment to rub their pet bunny's foot for good luck and intend to jump the community gates and sprint to the Thomson Prometric building for good cardiovascular exercise. Like other users have stated, Google Maps took me into some backroad gated community - which was quite strange because after having been here 7 times already, today (the 8th time) was the first time GM did that to me. Thank God this was neither my 1st time here, nor was I running late, or I'd be prone to a panic attack. And, no, I did not fail my exam 7 times! I OFFICIALLY COMPLETED MY DESIGNATION (to the tune of 8 exams)! Can we say "PAR-TAY"? (Excuse the caps. I am quite excited to be done.) Now that, that critical and most important information is out of the way... This testing center trains you to: - Discontinue use of those pesky pockets stitched into your clothing (lint is OK, though) - Listen to your breathing as you don their headphones and enter a zen-like state prior to the anxiety attack you'll inevitably incur as you press the "Submit for Grading" button at the end of your test - Run real fast to the bathroom, and then pee at your quickest (because the timer never stops!) - Stare at your driver's license in the hopes of finding the answer to Question 93 written beside your DOB or zip code - Sign your name the way you did when you were 16 and thought writing out every letter in proper cursive was the celebratory adult method of giving autographs Lol! Just kidding. (Sort of.) The folks who work here are always super nice. I'm sure they realize how stressful it is for exam-takers to maintain all the information they crammed into their heads just a few hours prior to the exam. They have always gotten me in and out of their exam room swiftly and without hassle. (And once I'm in, I let all that info leak out via pencil to the scrap paper I'm given just in case I end up suffering from transient global amensia.) Lastly, I actually saw one of the employees wiping down a cubicle station with sanitary wipes. This makes my germaphobic heart flutter. So yes. I definitely appreciate this location's organized processes, but am happy to say SEE YA! (For the time being, anyway. I might have another crazed idea to pursue some other professional development that could lead me back...) read more

I select testing centers based on availability. I would rather select a testing center in Ft. Lauderdale or Boca Raton if given the same exact date, which is much further for me. I took an exam this past Wednesday. Few issues: 1. My exam was scheduled at 8:00am. I arrived at 7:20am. My exam did not begin until 9:15am. Reason: a trainee. 2. The room temps were stated to be around 71-74 for "your comfort." It felt like it was 65 and freezing. I had to rub my hands together or sit on my hand to warm myself up during the exam. 3. The WORST: I got up for an unscheduled break. My time on my exam was running. I was checked out promptly. When I returned 3 minutes later, I was told to wait and sit down. I did not sit down. I mentioned that I have priority to be checked back in. The examinee sitting down being checked out already completed her exam. The admin said "don't you see I am helping her" where I proceeded to say "I am on a break and my exam is running; I take priority." Another employee agreed and instructed her to check me in. She covered her face with the examinee's passport and mumbled something while looking at me. 4. I was checked in, but I was told to LIFT my shirt to my waistline by the person checking me in. I thought to myself "wow, I am taking a major exam, and not only does this person not know the rules or what to ask for, but she is actually trying to shake me up before I go in and continue my exam." 5. At the same time of this very slow and incompetent employee, there was another computer employee with no students waiting who was manning the other room that could've at least wanded us. There are two employees there that are consistently nice. But after this experience, I am not going to risk my exam scores on a testing center with staff that do not know simple basic policies. I've tested many times in these centers (as a medical student, you take at least 9-10 exams on a regularly 6 week - 12 week basis) and I can't afford this type of conduct affecting my exams. read more

It's hard to review a testing center. You are here to take an exam. There is not much of a choice. I came here for USMLE Step 1. I was super nervous. Pros: -lots of parking -easy to find lockers to store your items -most of the staff are very familiar with procedures: NOTHING permitted into testing room (no water, no pen, no calculator, no watch, etc) -Your ID is checked at reception and each time you enter, leave, and reenter the testing room. -You must show your ankles, empty your pockets, and get wanded by a metal detector each time. -fingerprints upon each entry and exit (I had a hard time because my fingers were cold from anxiety) -Bathrooms are easy to access. Cons: -The testing center is very busy, so you need to allocate extra time from your allowed break-time for each entry and exit. -The climate is cool/comfortable. I wore a sweater and was not allowed to remove it from my shoulders when I felt warm during the exam. -When I finally finished my 8 hour exam I was not allowed to leave my seat until the backlog of test takers before me were checked out. I had a good experience taking the USMLE Step 2 CK here this week. No problems getting here with Google Maps. Lots of parking. The staff here are nice and very efficient at checking in and out for breaks. Room temperature was perfect wearing pants, shirt, and hoody. I brought my own soft earplugs, so I never tried the ones provided. read more

Hard to believe, but this is the closest Prometric location to downtown, what a hike! Google Maps had me lost in some back road gated community, so don't try to take any funny short cuts, just follow along the main road. Check in took about 10 minutes. They hand you a laminated instruction sheet that looks like a porn magazine at a sperm bank, in other words, it's been through a lot. It would be nice if they provided hand sanitizer, as I can only imagine what that thing might look like under a black light. Yikes. Security here is tighter than at the airport, I had to remove my shoes and undergo a full body scan. Staff is very friendly though, and they make it as painless as possible. The air conditioning is quite comfortable, not the usual arctic breeze. The test room is very quiet, but noise canceling headphones are available. What else can I say? See them again in 2 years. read more

The manager Angela was extremely rude. It also takes very long to register. I would much rather go to the Fort Lauderdale testing center.

Difficult to bulk register, requiring each persons social security number...protected private information! Uninformed front desk personnel did not even know the corporate office phone number. Poor customer service in this location. I did not encounter any issue with Google Maps, however...took me right to it. And the building is beautiful and well maintained. I'd say, try a different location, if possible. read more

Enough that we are only going to this place because we need to take an exam that will change our lives forever to also have to deal with the staff extremely rudeness and lack of work ethic. The front desk lady was EXTREMELY rude to EVERYONE. She even whispered "what an idiot" to the guy in front of me. First: if we are there is because we have a career and we are just closing the deal with a board exam (I would say we have accomplish more than you). Second: just because we seem nervous and awkward is because WE ARE! We are about to take the exam that would define months and even years of school. Same with the ladies that search you before the exam. Do not be rude to the people coming in, do not patronize us, do not dismiss us like if we are garbage. We are humans, and we are nervous and stressed over the test we are about to take. Be more sympathetic, and if you can't be nice because of your own unhappiness at least be ethical and respectful. read more

Extremely disappointing experience ! Absolute lack of empathy or client focus, staff were absolutely unable to resolve satisfactorily a very easy situation, just keep repeating the procedure with no intention to help. Both associate and manager were rude and with little problem resolution awareness. If you can choose any other center do it. read more

I have tested at this center on two separate occasions and overall I have to say it has exceeded my expectations. Far from being anything like the DMV, the building and the space occupied by Prometric are very new, inviting and clean. People have reported problems with directions on google maps, and I did have a small problem that the trip dropped me in the middle of the office park with several buildings. Make sure you look for Bldg. 8240, and there's always ample parking. The Prometric employees are very professional and do make efforts to accommodate each test taker. The bathrooms are clean and very closeby. The AC is a comfortable, 72-75 degrees. You can ask to have your test cube wiped down before your test which I would recommend after listening to a man sneeze, sniffle and cough for 3 hours during my recent test. You pop on the headphones in such an event. Generally if you arrive a little early you can get started a little early. I arrived at 1:40pm for a 2:00pm test and they whisked me through to start before 2pm. If you sign up for a test in the middle of the day (11am-1pm), expect some delays. Not much that can be done about this as this is a time when the morning test-takers are finishing and want to check out, while the afternoon testers are arriving for their time. This cross traffic can cause logjams. There is also a limited number of lockers, 30 or so, and at certain times they are completely taken, you'll have to wait for someone to leave to lock up your keys, wallet, phone etc. Advice: leave everything you can in your car, phone included since you cannot use it during breaks anyway. Clearly this company has good hiring and training practices, as they need to understand their customers are coming to do a very stressful task. read more

Good place for testing. I initially took my MCAT here 6 years ago and at that time, my experience was horrible (too loud, rude staff ) and I told myself I'd never test here again. When I was registering to take my usmle step 3 this year, it was the only center available for the dates I wanted. To my surprise, the staff was great, the center was quiet, and they were willing to accomodate my special needs ( I had crutches at the time and needed assistance with opening doors, a stool to elevate my leg etc). The only negative is that it takes a little longer to get in and out for breaks because its such a huge testing center and you have to wait in line sometimes to go fingerprinting/sign in or sign out and this takes away from your allotted break time. Other than that, my experience was great and I would definitely test here again. read more

The most unfriendly staff and the worst customer service ever seen. I think the oldest lady is impolite, she doesn't answer or speak. She was spraying the office as people smelling bad, and make them use antibacterial several times. Come, ladies! You are assisting people, not animals. Be nice, smile, people are nervous and you are not helping them at all. Never take your test here! read more

These testing centers are not particularly welcoming. However this one is especially annoying in that the Google maps directions are incorrect and take you to a gated neighborhood behind the testing center. No one at this establishment has taken the time to correct the error. They obviously don't care that much. read more

Went to write the MCAT. Staff were professional. The headphones they provided were useless but there wasn't a huge issue with noise as everyone was taking the test (though I did hear a car alarm go off outside). Plenty of parking available. read more
