We were pleasantly surprised by the superb quality of their offerings. Their zucchini and squash were flawlessly presented. They had beautiful strawberries by the bucket. Their frozen meat products were plentiful and they had an array of honeys, jams, and relishes. Ice cream is very much on the menu at the farm whether it be on a cone, cup, or in a shake. The best part was going in the back with my wife where she picked wild flowers (no charge), along with sunflowers (huge). I highly recommend visiting the Johnson Family Farm. The quality of the beef is superb since they own the farm (Apple Brandy Beef) which their beef comes from. On top of that, the staff are always friendly and the type of folks you get to know on a first name basis. And the space is always very clean and fresh smelling. If you grab a ribeye, don't forget a jar of their Apple Brandy Beef steak rub. Pro tip: Get a pound of their beef bacon which is thinly sliced brisket which cooks up just like bacon and is seasoned with a nice black pepper rub. Sear it on med-high in a cast iron for a nice pairing with the local Dry Ridge Farm eggs (you've never had eggs till you have those).

With a couple of exceptions, the staff has never been particularly friendly and a few times edging towards hostile but didn't quite get there. A male checker pulled something yesterday worthy of a complaint as when he finished checking me out he exposed his stomach by either pulling his tee shirt up or by stretching in such a way that he was exposed. Secondly, too many products are carried with high sugar content. I know sourcing is difficult but this should be a concern for management. Too much sugar is definitely not healthy.
