We were driving on 81 north to Manassas when the air conditioning started blowing warm air. Then the low battery light came on. Then some dash lights went out. We knew something was wrong and were just before the Christiansburg exit, so I quick looked on yelp and saw Ashton's Place not far with a 5 star review. So I started calling and Ashton answered and as I was on the phone explaining, the car stopped completely and we just made it into a little store just down the road from Ashton's. He said stay there, I'll walk down to you. He came with a portable battery & got us started. We drove to his shop and he took a look right away, and told us what it would cost and how long he estimated, which would put it past his closing time. He asked if we had somewhere to stay overnight; he assured us he would try and get it done or if he couldn't that night, definitely the next morning. He even recommended a hotel (which we loved!) and asked his coworker, Joe, to drive us there! Near the hotel was a restaurant we were eating. Halfway through dinner he called to say it was ready! They had stayed after closing to finish it. He even brought it to us at the restaurant! I don't know about you, but I've never had better service than that! Not many would go the extra mile(s) he did! Fair prices, outstanding service, honest, friendly... treating you like family. Can't recommend more highly!! Thank you Ashton and Joe. He was so friendly and knew immediately what was wrong. My water pump was leaking bad. I called Duncan Ford and they said bring it on over. Five minutes later Duncan Ford called back and said..we can't take you. That's ford not standing behind their cars. Cambria Auto took my car to their shop and started working on it. My car was ready Friday by 10 AM. Sarah worked with my extended warranty co. and took care of the charges. Next morning Sarah brought my car to the hotel. I got a quote a little higher than I wanted, so I called around and it was about 200$ more at both places I called. As a female college student who has a mechanic for a dad, I had some questions I wanted to ask to make sure I wasn't being ripped off. When I called Firestone back to ask those questions, I spoke to a woman needed to put me on hold about three times to get answers. Finally, she came back and somehow the price had gone up about 40$. I asked her how that was possible and she said "I don't know that's just how it is." I asked her another question and she then proceeded to hang up on me, as if my car was not literally parked at the shop to be worked on. I immediately called back and a man named Matt answered the phone. Matt was more professional than the woman I spoke to and answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. I think due to the woman being unprofessional and hanging up on a paying customer, they gave me a discount which was very much appreciated. When I went to pick up my car, the woman then rudely questioned my discounted price in front of me. My discounted quote was upheld. Firestone was able to get me in very quickly and get the parts needed quickly as well. While I don't appreciate being hung up on for simply asking rather routine questions, every other staff member I spoke to was very nice and helpful.
