I found Adventure Kids at last minute after he refused to finish a session at another camp. They made room for him and after the first morning I texted and asked how he was doing. he had already been accepted into a group and was climbing rocks and exploring wind caves on Mount Diablo. he came home energetic and wanting to share his day and his friends he made . That was 3 summers ago and he has spent every week of his summers since at Adventure Kids. he's one of the seasoned pros now at camp and will be an unofficial junior counselor. he will be aging out of camps after this summer and bittersweet to move on but the memories , friends and growth as a young man he has experienced have been invaluable . Thanks Adventure Kids

The thermostat was set to specific temps and when adjusted would often take 5-10 minutes before it would start to warm the room. It required inputting the temp multiple times a day to override the automatic settings of 62/64. There was construction going on and every evening there was a very very strong smell of propane. All of the outside areas were unpleasant to walk through near the buildings and there was no opening up windows or sitting on the rocking chairs with that smell. The food was not good. Sandwiches for lunch, tomato soup and grilled cheese for dinner with a salad.... I thought for adults that they would make the meals a bit more interesting but no. Lots of costco/sysco bulk food items. The first couple days we got plastic reusable plates but apparently it was too difficult to keep those kosher so they then switched us to compostable plates and silverware. Lastly, no remote for the tv in the center living room which made it very difficult to play our planned jackbox and the remote for the fireplace wouldn't work. Heaters are very very loud and can be difficult to sleep though. They sound like running water or people taking a shower right above you. Showers constantly ran out of hot water. 90% of our group experienced a cold shower during the 5 days we were there. Overall, tons of things that made the stay less than pleasant. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I vividly remember the smell of the woods, the sound of the ball bouncing in the Gaga ball pit, and the butterflies of excitement getting ready for Shabbat dinner. The staff could stand to chill out a little (they're very strict about what you do and when) but still, this place is like home to me and I wish I could go back as an adult.

It is a good campus that is plain and is small enough to where you will get the education you need and not have to run around all about the city to get from one place to the next. The Weills live in Sonoma and I joke that after his years at Travelers, Citicorp and Shearson he's been trying to buy back his soul. [My dad worked for him in one of their many satellite offices, my sister and I met Sandy Weill in an elevator, funny story] The Weills' money is quietly invested here in the beautiful Green Music Center at Sonoma State College in a natural landscape filled with field flowers and lush grasses. The campus itself is spread out with plentiful student housing rumored to be pretty posh and spacious. Sonoma State seems to have a focus on liberal arts with a concentration in the arts and STEM. The outdoor pool adjacent to the gym is pretty good but the locker rooms are dated, cramped and dirty and in need of an overhaul. You'll see evidence of Peanuts' Charles Schulz at Sonoma State. He was a Sonoma resident as well. Nice campus, small, quiet, tucked away in wine country.

We've been at their ranch since September 2024, and every single staff member we've encountered (including office, groundskeeping, and instructional staff) has presented themselves with the utmost professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm. They've taught our boys how to ride and care for horses in a safe and skilled manner, all while exhibiting patience, dignity, and grace. They are friendly and welcoming at all times, and I feel no hesitation to trust our instructors with the safety of my children. The safety of their students and horses are of primary concern here--as it should be. I must offer an extra special thank you to Mia and Izzy, who have always made it their goal to teach my kids everything they possibly can about riding and equestrian care. It has been a blessing and a joy to work with them, and we love them both dearly! Thank you, ladies, for your dedicated work, and for always bringing upbeat smiles, wisdom, and positive attitudes to your students. I'd be remiss if I didn't also give honorable mention to Carley, who is not our instructor, but who is often on the training grounds during our appointment time. She makes us feel welcome, and goes out of her way to be friendly and encouraging while we are there. Thank you, Cloverleaf. Your pursuit of excellence in your craft has been of great benefit to our family. Keep up the good work!
