I'm only 30 and had to quit my job because being on my feet was too much to handle. I had to give up my career I worked so hard for. I got my degree with a scholarship now that I'm starting over because of my injuries I'm paying out of pocket for my new degree. Had to buy a new car with my own money while my wrecked car still has a balance. The lady that hit me was clearly under the influence , she was speeding and hit me without braking. That was never looked into . My medical notes say I will need treatment basically for the rest k my life so therefore that will be out of my own pocket. I can keep going. Then offered me the minimum payout! I had so many medical bills & my car never got paid off with full coverage so with the payout I'm looking at is little to none. His younger associate handled my case (it could have been his son or grandson). (I found him to be professional but somewhat aloof.) Now, during my office, Joe Gamez (with his old decrepit -ss) actually walked by me without ever introducing himself. I actually wondered if he was racist. I was new to San Antonio, this is before I appreciate the local general sentiment Latinos have against Black people. (Irony strikes hard!). After completion of therapy (at least they assisted with that), I was "summarily" dropped after they were low balled by insurance company.
