I saw Deniece for a few years during different transitions, and attribute her dedication to leading (rather than instructing) was not something I actively sought but was key. My daughter, who was at an age already filled with change and uncertainty, was especially in need of support from a source outside of her loving family. I was so fortunate to find Deniece Christ-Rice for my then teenage daughter and myself. Her understanding of the many complex issues we were facing on a daily basis was in itself a soothing balm that allowed us the strength to seek further solutions. My daughter continued to see Deniece as these solutions were implemented and beyond those times. I am able to express deep gratitude not only for Deniece's unfaltering guidance but also for my daughter's ability to re-embrace life. At one time she believed her life to be over as she dealt with pain and the inability to function in her daily life. Now she has been liberated and at the age of 24 has a full and fulfilling life. She still knows that Deniece is available if perspective is needed as life's challenges may arise. As an educator of over 30 years, I often shared with parents that I believed that every household could have the name of a family therapist along with their list of helpful numbers such as doctor, dentist, etc., simply for much needed dialogue when insight is needed. Having said that, Deniece Christ-Rice would be my referral of choice!  ~JMM
