They both had great teachers who not only were great at their jobs but also cared about them. We never had issues on bullying or anything that concerned us. My oldest finished elementary there and when we were headed to middle school, we decided to give a nearby charter a try. So I took both boys (oldest to 6th grade) and little one for 2nd grade to a nearby charter school. There were lots of ups and downs from the new school but I figured we'd give them a shot since it was their first year open. Well...we are now back at Cypress creek with my 2nd grader. We couldn't even finish this school year at the charter school. The lack of communication from the majority of the teachers and some of the administration at the charter school was horrible. I never experienced this before with other teachers. Second grade teacher was not bad at all but middle school was just horrible there. We are so happy to be back at cypress creek and everyone was excited to see us back. I love their office staff and teachers. My 2nd grader is so happy to go to school now and be back with his friends. My oldest attends another school but he is also happy. I want to thank everyone at cypress creek for being so loving and caring so much for my children. I feel so relief now to have my boys happy where they are. If your child is going to be new at cypress creek, give them a try before judging them. No school is perfect. But this school is full of loving people who will care about your children. Also, get involved with events. Join the PTA. Participate and volunteer. You won't regret it!

We had many teachers leave during the year, there was limited opportunities for art and No music programs for middle school. I volunteered here for a 6th school dance, and witnessed the lack of disrespect and damages toward school property. The teachers allowed music to be streamed via laptop and it even included explicit lyrics. I spent most of the night chasing kids to stop them from breaking glow sticks to flock the neon gel on themselves or school property. Trying to leave the venue aka cafeteria to explore classrooms above. This school has great security to keep people, parents out but lacks insight on properly supporting discipline procedures within their own staffing. There is athletics in the form of basketball and soccer as well as cheerleading. Those departments are not could not offer a regular words and celebrations or recognition at the end of the season unless a parent rally's to create a board. Or privately funded by parents. In middle school the children were instructed to read from an online program that was limited in content. No actual books were encouraged. And that may be teacher discretion. Many parents aren't as involved here since there is a monopoly of the same parents signing up for things. Many working parents do not get a fair opportunity to volunteer, unless planned months in advance or there is some consideration toward voting for times to release sign ups hour. A lot of the happy reviews reflect elementary experiences. Since those kids aren't as much of a concern and have years for Waterset charter to fix or mold those curriculums.

From the very beginning, we knew this was more than just a school--it's a Christ-centered community that genuinely invests in the hearts and minds of its students. The teachers and staff at Ruskin Christian go above and beyond to create an environment rooted in love, grace, and biblical truth. They not only teach with excellence but also lead by example, guiding our child in both academic achievement and spiritual growth. Every lesson, every prayer, and every chapel service is intentionally designed to point students toward Christ. We've watched our child grow in knowledge, confidence, and most importantly, in faith. The school's commitment to integrating biblical values into every subject and every activity has helped build a strong spiritual foundation that will last a lifetime. The communication and partnership between the school and parents have been exceptional. We've always felt supported, heard, and part of a larger mission to raise up the next generation of Christ-followers. After four wonderful years at Ruskin Christian School, we can honestly say it has shaped our child in all the right ways--spiritually, academically, and personally. We are so thankful for the lasting impact this school has had on our family, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a place where their child will be known, loved, and challenged in all the best ways.

He doesn't have an ounce of kindness and is nothing but mean to the students. He makes snarky comments and is basically bullying the students. He takes advantage of his job and gives out detentions and suspensions for no reason, and most of the time, the students don't even deserve them. It seems like there is nothing but negativity and hatred in his heart. If the school did a student survey to ask if they've ever felt attacked or uncomfortable by Mr. Lucas, 95% of the students would say yes. I really do hope that God finds him because as of right now, it seems like he doesn't have the Gospel in his life, despite working at a Christian school. I truly believe that this guy is not fit for his job at all.

"My time at Canterbury has been a disappointing experience, to say the least. While the campus may…read moreseem appealing at first glance, the reality is far from the image portrayed in brochures and promotional materials. The academic programs, touted as 'comprehensive' and 'innovative,' fell short of expectations. The coursework often felt outdated, and several instructors seemed disengaged and uninterested in the success of their students. The lack of practical applications and hands-on experiences left me feeling ill-prepared for the real-world challenges in my field. The administration at Canterbury is another major drawback. Bureaucratic processes are convoluted, and getting assistance from the administrative offices is a frustrating ordeal. Whether dealing with financial aid, course registration, or housing issues, I found myself constantly running into roadblocks, and the staff's lack of responsiveness only added to the frustration. Campus facilities, while visually appealing, are poorly maintained. The promised state-of-the-art facilities turned out to be more style than substance. Broken equipment in laboratories, outdated technology in classrooms, and insufficient library resources were a constant source of frustration for many students. The lack of a cohesive and supportive community was evident throughout my time at Canterbury. The student body felt fragmented, and there was a noticeable absence of school spirit or engaging extracurricular activities. It seemed like everyone was simply going through the motions, with little enthusiasm for learning or collaboration. Career services were practically nonexistent. The so-called job placement assistance was minimal, and networking opportunities were scarce. I struggled to find support in my post-graduation job search, feeling abandoned by the institution that should have prepared me for the workforce. In conclusion, I would caution anyone considering Canterbury to thoroughly research and reconsider their options. The glossy exterior masks a reality of subpar academics, unresponsive administration, and a lackluster campus culture. I regret my decision to attend this institution and would strongly advise prospective students to explore alternative educational opportunities." Not only was the school itself a dissapointmen so were the people there the kids were rude and said hurtful things to my kid. The teachers knew about the abusive behavor and did nothing
