This establishment is dirty and the staff lack empathy and compassion for children. As a paying customer, I was very displeased with the lack of communication I received. I asked about food menus and was told they didn't have any. The "curriculum" that was advertised was essentially non-existent. The care that my child received was inadequate and I am very unhappy that we spent our money here. After taking my child here for 2 days we decided that he needed to receive better care elsewhere. The school has made my daughter go from below level in Elementary school to honor roll. The teachers know the students extremely well and that helps with in today's society of threats as the school is a smaller private school. The owner is involved in the school and frequently visits. When a parent has any concern he quickly addresses them with the parent.

It's a small class of about 13 kids. The instructor is very high energy, like she was not only in plays in school, but also a cheerleader. The teacher would set up a story and then show the kids how to use their body language and voices in that stories setting. She kept it very fun, lighthearted, and entertaining for everyone. For example she would say something like; how do you react if you walked in the kitchen and saw the pet dog had made a mess with the trash which is now all over the floor. And they would reply back some like like, "Oh no!" And the teach would have them verbally say it very loud, and use their hands, arms, and body movement to also express that type of emotion from the kids. I think the classes are about 3 times per week, and about 1 hour each session, and they are held normally about 4pm or 5pm. The teacher also has another adult assistant there to help the kids learn the art of acting. The teacher also has the parents get involved and assist their kids was needed. So the whole family has a fun, silly time learning drama. Part of the class the parents are not needed, so most of them go next door to the bar and eat some snacks or get a drink while they're waiting on the class to end. This seems like a very nice class for young kids to take.

She liked the water, but only on her own terms. Now she can float on her back, and kick her way all around the pool for several minutes. She loves doing if now too. My oldest graduated from the pre-k program two years ago and my youngest graduates this May. We have made so many wonderful memories at Goddard over the past five years and I have so many positive comments about this amazing school! The three-story building is absolutely stunning!!! Each floor has their own private outdoor playground and the second and third floor have indoor gyms that are used for recess, book fairs, and special events. I feel that it is so crucial to have an indoor play space for inclement weather and am grateful that the children are able to play and exercise every day. The clean and modern classrooms are stocked with the newest toys, books, and learning materials. Each preschool teacher is provided with flatscreen televisions so that they can utilize educational videos that relate to the weekly lessons. My son's class just finished learning the alphabet and now is working on sight words so he will be ready to succeed in kindergarten. We have had so many kind and caring teachers over the past five years including Ms. Jasmine, Ms. Lindsay, Ms. Shinese, Ms. Brenda, Ms. Liza and Ms. Trish. These teachers have made my sons into smart, sweet, and respectful little boys! While there has been some turnover in teachers, it has only been the teacher's assistants and not the main teachers of the classrooms. During the transition the school has done an amazing job of filling any open spots with the students' previous teachers and teacher assistants so that the children are always surrounded by a familiar face. We are going to miss so many teachers and staff members who we have gotten to know over the past five years. I will also miss so many of the Goddard's annual events, including: Parent's Night Out (because all parents deserve a date night or night off!), lunch with your littles, Family Food Truck Fridays, Trunk-or-Treat, splash Fridays during the summer, the annual Jack Hartmann concerts, and the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

I am attaching this email to show the seriousness of a short lived time for our daughter at this school. We were on a multi year wait list to get in and were excited to open a new chapter for our daughter. For them to say, "Our programs are designed to nurture each child's curiosity in a safe and caring environment." really doesn't sound accurate to me. If you want to respond to this review, you can keep your corporate 1-800 # because we have learned to not trust Goddard. Sometimes changing a policy isn't a bad thing. We are relieved to have found a place of care where they actually understand what the words "nurturing and safe" truly mean.
