    Extremely Disappointed After 20+ Years with Jeni - Completely Abandoned Us…read moreMy husband and I have been loyal clients of Jeni for over 20 years, booking at least two international trips per year. For most of that time, her service was reliable, but unfortunately, it has dramatically declined in recent years. We started noticing issues with her responsiveness in 2023 when she began taking longer than usual to respond to emails. We even had to start booking our own airfare and transfers because she couldn't assist us in a timely manner. There was one incident where she claimed a resort had no availability, only for us to find out later that there was indeed availability. We were frustrated but continued to work with her, even though I started handling most of the bookings myself since I could do it faster and more efficiently than relying on her. We also asked Jeni if she could price match a deal we found through Costco Vacations, but she told us that was something she couldn't do. That's when we decided to book our own trips through Costco, saving a significant amount of money. Still, we continued to rely on Jeni for our annual anniversary trip to Sandals each November. Fast forward to 2024. I had not heard from Jeni at all, so I went ahead and booked our flights for our November trip by myself. But a month before our trip, I noticed on the Sandals app that our reservation had disappeared. I emailed Jeni several times, but got no response. When I called Sandals, I was told that our reservation had been canceled because we hadn't paid the final balance - but Sandals had sent all the communication to Jeni, not to us. Despite multiple attempts to reach Jeni, she was unreachable. Finally, Sandals reached her and she outright lied, claiming she had emailed us the final payment notice. Fortunately, Sandals was able to process our payment late and we were able to keep our reservation, but the whole situation was a nightmare. Then, the hurricane hit Jamaica, and our resort was severely damaged, forcing us to either cancel or postpone the trip. We spent days trying to get ahold of Jeni, but despite seeing on social media that she was in Costa Rica, she completely ignored our emails and messages. Finally, 12 days later, after no communication from her, I called Sandals myself. After three days of trying to get through, they allowed us to reschedule our trip for June - all without Jeni's involvement. We were fortunate to save our reservation and avoid a massive loss of over $13,000, but it's clear to me that Jeni completely abandoned us. This level of negligence and lack of communication is completely unacceptable, especially after 20 years of working together. I feel like others need to be warned about this travel agency and agent, so they don't experience the same frustration and abandonment that we did. DO NOT TRUST JENI. We will never use her services again.
