Attorney Thomas Alonzo received his law license from LSU Law School in 1987 and began working as a personal injury attorney in Lake Charles, Louisiana and Lafayette, Louisiana. In 1994, Mr. Alonzo opened his own law firm in Lafayette specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. Mr. Alonzo joined the Lafayette Parish Public Defender's Office in 1995 handling drug charges before being promoted to felony charges. After being admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1999, Mr. Alonzo expanded his practice area to include Mississippi. Mr. Alonzo taught appellate advocacy as an adjunct professor for the Louisiana State University Law School in 2002-2003 and became a board certified capitol defender in Louisiana. In 2006, Mr. Alonzo was admitted to the Texas State Bar and received an additional law license in Georgia in 2009. Mr. Alonzo now has a law office in Lafayette, LA and also provides legal help to clients in Mississippi.

Thomas Alonzo was born in Natchez, Mississippi and raised in Mississippi and Louisiana. When he is not in the courtroom, you can find Mr. Alonzo riding his motorcycle, playing tennis, or learning Spanish. Mr. Alonzo is on the Board of Directors of Spaynation, a nonprofit organization that provides low cost spaying and neutering for dogs and cats.
