During our initial meeting, we were told that a demand letter to recover a deposit to a company would be $1000. We were not told that the cost of litigation, should the deposit not be refunded, would be the exact amount we were seeking to be refunded! What we were told was that it was "possible" that the cost of litigation would consume what we were seeking. How ironic that their cost to litigate is the exact amount that we were seeking to be refunded! We were never given a dollar figure for the cost of litigation. Had we been given this information to begin with, we would not have sent out a demand letter at a cost of $1000! In my opinion, this is extremely unethical. You would do well to steer clear of this firm!

I was introduced to someone by the name of Julie who is not well educated on the long arm statue divorces. I had a couple of problems with this company. When I first met her she told me that there is a form called pauper that I can fill out to possibly prevent me from paying court cost. I asked if there was any chance it can get denied. I even explained to her that I am paying her to avoid the stress of filling out the paperwork but if I would still end up paying for court cost I would file myself. She stated none of her clients were ever denied and insisted she can get me to not pay any court cost. Within weeks of me filing my papers to the court I received a letter from the courthouse saying I have to pay 300.00 in court cost. My pauper was denied because of the money I make. I called her and she stated she had never experienced someone getting denied and she would get back to me. I explained to her that I didn't have 300.00 to pay court cost and I asked her for some sort of reimbursement of the 500.00 I paid her company to apply to the court costs. She refused to issue any monies back toward me. I ended up having to pay an extra 300.00 unexpectedly to proceed with my divorce. Also, I was told by her that my long arm statue would have been a 30 day process. She told me that I would file my petition for divorce and in a few weeks I would I would get it back in the mail. From there I would send my husband a copy certified mail and that he had 14 days to respond to me or the judge. She also stated after the 14 days I would go back to the courthouse and my divorce would be granted. Boy, was that was a joke. The long arm statue takes anywhere between 90-120 days to finalize. I called her back to let her know that they are misinformed about the way a long arm statue works but she didn't answer. I kept calling until finally an "operator" answered and said she would inform all agents about the statue changes. This was in June I still haven't heard from Julie. With the help of the law library and the ladies at the clerk of court I am almost at the end of divorce being filed. Do not believe what this company tells you. If you have a simple divorce do it yourself. Everything I was told was wrong. I wasn't even given the correct documents from Mediate now to file my divorce. They are not knowledgeable. I found this company's ad in the newspaper and regret calling them for help! They have never reached out to me to fix or offer any kind of assistance. Stay away from this company!
