He warmly explained everything he was going to do. He gave me a countdown on how long the hard part, the numbing, was going to hurt. Him and his nurse were cracking me up as they worked concisely on my tooth. They actually gave me an ibuprofen in office. Which sounds like a small thing but made a world of difference once the numbness wore off. All in all it was a great experience. I left the office laughing and smiling. 10/10 highly recommend. I will be referring everyone I know to Dr. Shuler.

My previous U of L Primary Care doctor retired in the past two years and I found waiting lists for new patient appointments in the Primary Care Field can be at least a year out. Each time I have an appointment with one of my medical specialists I always pose the question "can you recommend a Primary Care doctor?" Several doctors and nurses recommended this practice and. In particular APRN Kaela Turley was recommended. Several months ago my husband and I made the call and got a new patient appointment for him. We had agreed together to evaluate how that appointment went and after the fact make an appointment for me. We were so impressed with the practice, it's location, and APRN Turley that we didn't even leave and discuss the change instead I scheduled a new patient appointment on the way out. I have now seen the APRN several times and each time I know we are at the correct Primary Care Practice! Kayla Turley is knowledgeable, professional, and outshines some doctors I have seen. Bottom line they really care and even will work you in on short notice if they have the time. If they cannot work you in for an immediate need there is a Norton Immediate Care right next door.

I called the office to book an appointment and was originally put on hold because I wasn't referred by a doctor; however, a nurse confirmed my insurance and booked us. (We were also asked who referred us at check in, but it was not a problem that we'd booked without one.) We were checked in quickly and given paperwork to complete. My son got called back about 15 minutes after his appointment but we needed a few minutes to do the questionnaire. He saw Dr. Borton and was happy by this visit with her. She confirmed his tinnitus as well as his healthy hearing, and agreed to his request to provide paperwork for school. As his mom I appreciated him having a comfort level with the doctor and leaving with information he'd been seeking. This office hosts several physicians. Their doctors also work downtown on Chestnut Street if that location is preferred. Clean waiting room area. Masks optional. Plenty of parking spaces.
