I called to make an appointment and a woman answered with only a rude, "hello", then gave attitude when I asked if this was the Texas Tech Clinic. "That's what you dialed isn't it?" -- Excuse me? Whatever, I remained polite and explained that I needed a new PCP for follow-up care of an ongoing issue ideally in the next 7 days. She said with the same annoyed voice, "nothing available until mid-September." I just hung up. Recommendation to the folks running this place: change your front desk staff. Looks like I'm not the only one saying this judging from other reviews on here.

When I lived in El Paso, my primary care physician was located here. He was a fine Dr., and I…read morenever had any problems with him and would recommend him, but this isn't a review on my Dr. this is a review on the center. Most doctor office staff are pretty unfriendly...probably has something to do with working for arrogant dickhead doctors. But the staff here are probably the worst I have encountered. I don't think they have ever even encountered the phrase 'customer service' or 'service with a smile.' That and like most medical offices, they seriously overbook...so I have never been in and out of here in less than an hour even though my time with the doctor rarely topped 10 minutes. Now I just come here to pick up paperwork for my mother-in-law. I can't wait until it is all paperless and can be sent via email. Oh and they usually have Fox News blaring...that isn't even real news!

Arrived for an…read moreappointment yesterday only to be told they were not accepting new patients with my insurance, Humana HMO. That's their prerogative and it wouldn't be a problem except when I originally called to make the appointment, I specifically asked about that and was assured my insurance would be accepted. Not. The employee "assisting" me was unfriendly, rude, and unapologetic. Because of their incompetence, I wasted my time going to a non-appointment, had to find another PCP, make another appointment (in three weeks), and wait to get my prescriptions refilled.

Dr. Wieland has been my Primary Care Physician for over a decade...and she actually saved my life…read moreby making a correct diagnosis when an ER had a different idea of my problem. We have a great rapport, and I'm sorry that as of January 1, 2019, she will be seeing only Medicare Advantage patients. I'm going to miss her!
