Finding myself with another one I limped for weeks before I finally decided to get it fixed. I was stressing for the week beforehand. Another yelp review said dr. Kochhar did a "painless" job which I didn't believe. Had the procedure this morning. Virtually PAINLESS indeed. I've had flu shots that hurt more. She did a wonderful job. She also helped me with a plantar fasciitis issue last year as well. My advice?? Don't wait. Let dr. Kochhar

Dr. K didn't think that was necessary, and with amazing gentleness managed a small portion removal, the Novocain shots were nearly pain free to boot. (Those usually have me in tears). I did not have a good experience with Dr. Bowles. Multiple entries in my medical chart were…read morecompletely inaccurate, including my weight, height, and blood pressure. No one in the office measured or recorded these during my visits. I also found that the appointment notes described detailed conversations that did not occur. My appointments were typically very brief -- around five minutes -- yet the corresponding chart notes were several pages long and contained numerous factual inaccuracies. I was very troubled by the extent of the discrepancies in my medical records and lost confidence in the accuracy of the documentation provided by this office

Updating after a couple more visits with Dr. Bowles…read more Things got better, there were a lot fewer red flags after that first visit. Communication is a trick, but if I did a bunch of prep and acted as confident as him, he listened better. He was disarmed once we started talking about barbecue, maybe that's a pro tip? Based on my experiences, I hope he finds a job he likes better! ALL THAT SAID! I'm still seeing him because he does three big things I have really wished for with other docs: *He advocated for non-surgical options and seemed to really consider the impact surgery would have on my life. *He was comfortable being direct with bad news and even leaned in to help me interpret bad news in plain language so I could understand what it meant for my daily life. *He seems to use realistically low expectations for how much behavior/lifestyle change people are actually going to do in the long term. His delivery can feel a little insulting and he might underestimate patients sometimes, but now that I know that I can be clear about the places I know I'm ready to put in the work. Tl;dr, Much better experience, but still I have to put in a lot of work and strategy to get my needs met.

He was meticulous in his approach to what my problem is regarding my right big toe. Cleaned my toe up, provided several options of treatment for us to consider, cut my toenails, and during this procedure was very informative regarding the care needed for feet and ankles. I will be having regular schedule treatment appointments regarding my feet and ankles with Dr Hopkins. Ditto for the reception and nursing staff members. I have been a patient at Providence St. Peter Outpatient Orthopedic and Hand Therapy since Aug…read more2023. I was referred by my primary care doctor for relief from shoulder pain. After two months of treatment, my therapist suggested I see an orthopedist, which I did. As a result, I was given X-rays and an MRI which revealed I had a torn rotator cuff, SLAP tear, bone spurs and severe arthritis. I tried non-surgical treatment by continuing PT and an injection, but the pain persisted, so it was recommended that my shoulder be surgically repaired. I also had a frozen shoulder and my surgeon cautioned me that he would not be able to operate if the shoulder was still frozen. My therapist worked with me for two more months in an attempt to "thaw" my frozen shoulder. I went in for surgery in Jan 2024, and the surgeon was able to manipulate my shoulder and complete the surgery. The damage to my shoulder was worse than anticipated, but the surgeon was able to complete repairs. Two weeks post-surgery, I went back to PT to rehabilitate my shoulder. I am still in PT and likely will for a few more months, as I regain my mobility & strength. I have worked with several of the Physical Therapists and a PT Assistant, including Christy, Jordan, Nancy, Mark, and Jessica. The care I've received has been excellent - it is painful, but I am getting better! Shoulder surgery is a long, difficult recovery and I was told to expect it to take 6-9 months to be mostly pain-free, and a full year to restore my strength, which was complicated by a detached biceps tendon that also requires repair. Slowly but surely I'm making progress. I definitely recommend Providence St. Peter Outpatient Pediatric Therapies if you need to rehab a shoulder, knee, hand, etc.

Don't go here unless you want to go broke!!!…read more The type of care is excellent - that's not the issue. It's the cost. This location bills as hospital outpatient (hence the name) and they don't tell you that! Physical therapy is billed as a hospital visit. That means instead of getting a $25 copay you get $1000+ bill! I had a single visit billed for $1200 when my insurance says I only owe $25. What they're doing is legal but highly immoral. If you want to go to providence, go to the tumwater facility. Same organization but I hear they bill correctly.
