    1. He demanded an up front payment of at least £100. 2. He…read morepurchased the toilet and cistern, wash basin and pedestal - but he didn't give me the receipt. 3. We had agreed that he would dispose of all the old sanitary ware etc. but he started to grumble when the time came to taking it away. I offered him a further £10 for his trouble. 4. After he had left the premises, I happened to throw some rubbish in the bin. What did I see? He had thrown a large quantity of broken tiles and sanitary ware into the bin. I was furious because Coventry CC won't take this stuff. I phoned Adrian (the plumber) twice - he did not reply, so I had to clean out the bin after and dispose of all the waste. 5. He didn't attach the pedestal to the wash basin. 6. He initially told me that there would be no problem in replacing the toilet bowl because the new one would cover the gap left by the old one. As it turned out - it didn't, and he then said that the whole slate effect floor would have to be removed. Ridiculous! I told him to cut out a piece from the spare flooring and use it to cover the hole left by the old toilet bowl - the problem was thus resolved. 7. He then wanted me to go and buy some material to finish the job, but he would accompany me so that I wouldn't buy the wrong things. We went in my car - why couldn't he have gone by himself in his van? I wasted a lot of time which I had intended to spend on redecorating the house. 8. He said he was trying to save me money - he also left with a glass cutter that I had paid for. 9. He charged me £20 for removing and replacing a kitchen tap: he could have done it for free and shown some appreciation: after all, I had paid him an extra £10 for getting rid of all the sanitary ware etc. - even though this job had been included in the original price of £140. 10. Talk! Talk! Talk! This guy is garrulous to say the least. Despite the outwardly friendly appearance, he proved himself to be unreliable and not particularly knowledgeable. Had I been less alert, we would have ended up lifting the whole bathroom floor. 11. At a later date, I requested him to attend to some problems that had arisen from his work: he flatly refused - even though he had told me that he would attend to any problems free of charge. 12. Finally, I requested that he provide me with the invoice for the sanitary ware that he had purchased for me: He refused to provide it - even though I had informed him that I would remove all negative reviews if he were to provide me with the invoice - which I require for guarantee purposes.
