My father was a great amateur photographer with his own darkroom. He constantly took family pictures - my mother, brothers and sisters and me. Many a time, as a Harbour Rat,I came. out of the water, drying myself down when CLICK! There was my Dad armed with one of his favourite toys, always catching me unawares.
My husband was a great professional photographer, from sunsets, fishing boats, portraits, advertisements, babies in the Studio - shop in Fore Street, Newquay to Weddings and of course beloved surf shots of surfers in action, surfing being his first great passion. His first baby was the first glossy colour surfing magazine in Britain - " Wavelength".
He was the late great founding father of Wavelngth in 1981. After he sadly died in 2003 his father sold the mag on in 2004 to Cornwall and Devon Media. Today it is still published under different management again.
