This library is fantastic! Large and beautifully laid out! The kids area is amazing and there…read moreare many areas with comfy chairs or desks to helps you study/read or whatever. I love that they have so many items you can check out that aren't limited to books. My absolute favourite part is the Innovation hub. Such a great space to be creative. Staff is amazing and will help you learn how to use the equipment. Yesterday I used the etching machine as well as the sewing machine. What a great resource!! They have sooo many different systems available for your use!

It was nice to finally be able to get to this library after wanting to visit for years…read more Specifically I wanted to take my daughter to their children's section since I've heard good things. There is a big fairytale theme at work here, which is immediately evident when you enter the children's area and see the little wooded forest there. There are several well-loved children's books represented here, like The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Winnie the Pooh, and others. There's a small funhouse mirror, a play kitchen, and so on. Outside the forest there's a light board, legos, and other toys. On the other side of the room (it's a pretty large children's section), the walls follow the fairy tale theme and look like castles. It's a really cute idea. I really appreciated that there's a nursing mother's room, and a dedicated bathroom right in this part of the library. They have a large room called the craft room! How cool that they have a space dedicated solely to that. When entering the library, there's a snack bar as well. Outside, there's a drive-up for returning books. Parking is huge; I would be surprised if they ever fill the lot. It's a cool library and worth the visit with your little one, and worth it for adults to take a look at their events.

I have been patronizing the Indian Prairie Library it seems forever, since the days of the…read morebookmobile library. Nowadays, it is a state-of-the-art facility which caters to all age groups and I am getting to learn about what it has to offer (too much to note honestly). First of all, I will note that the staff are excellent - very pleasant, diverse and helpful, not only to someone like myself (with not obvious "disabilities") but to others as well. It is very quiet areas. I have been utilizing the private rooms for peace and quiet to accomplish computer activities and it is definitely much quieter than it was back in 2012 when I would frequent the library while in school for a degree. There is a wide variety of materials to be checked out: I learned about the "Library of Things", which are literally "things" that can be checked out and taken home with you (one of the many perks of being in the IPL district). If you don't know how to utilize the many services, feel free to ask Guest Services and a friendly person there can assist you. My best recommendation is to check out the link to their website: https://ippl.info for more information. No one library is perfect but I believe they would be open to suggestions. :)

If You are an old schooler like me, there are also newspapers, periodicals (say that there times, fast) and magazines. IPL provides a delightful library experience, go try it for yourself...
