A few days later Kevin called me with a couple questions for my Federal taxes and told me they would be filed later that day and then he would move on to State and get them filed in the next day or so. My federal refund came and after waiting a few more days and no state return I called Kevin wondering if there had been a hold up. No answer. No answer for a few days. I got so frustrated that I just filed my state taxes myself. Now, because Mr. Barty did not perform the services promised, that and he was avoiding my phone calls, I did not pay him. I figured he was okay with this since again, he didn't file my state taxes after almost a month and was not answering or returning my phone calls. Well. About two months later he came barging nto my place of employment to yell at me, in front of my employer and customers of the business I worked for. I tried to argue that the didn't perform the services we had agreed upon, nonetheless even TELL me that he wouldn't be filing my state taxes but he wouldn't have it. I paid him, only because he was making a scene at my place of employment and I was starting to get embarrassed.
