Their guidance helped my mother and our family feel cared for during an incredibly difficult time. Kerrie Brasco Smith deserves special recognition. She made my mother her first priority and handled our family's needs with extraordinary care, respect, and dignity. I would strongly recommend Brasco Memorial Chapels to any family looking for funeral services handled with compassion and genuine human care.

And waited. Over 7 days I waited for a response. When there was no response, I called and left a message. No one returned my call regarding death certificates. My third attempt at contacting them I showed up in person. I was told the death certificates weren't ready yet. Come to find out from the city where my individual passed, that they never ordered the certificates until AFTER I visited in person. I was told that they would call me after they received them. I waited 10 days. No phone call. I decided to show up yet again as this was the only way that they would answer me. Upon showing up, I was told that they were not ready as the death was under investigation. Not true. I had already paid for a death certificate privately and it was available without any issue. Then they told me that they hadn't arrived. Again not true. I had called and confirmed when they would be at the funeral home from the city clerk. The funeral service may have been well done, but the customer service I had was lacking. Tracy also comes off as sweet, but disappears quickly when she doesn't want to deal with an issue. I honestly would not recommend them based upon the treatment I received.

The Bryant family has been a part of the Wayland / Cochituate community for almost 50 years, and the connections they have built over that time are readily apparent. It had been a very difficult experience. We have used this business for 3 family members. The…read morecompany has been known to us for many years, given I am friends with their cousin. Because of that, the experience has been even more distressful. There may be financial issues that have caused them to become so reluctant to return calls. The reason doesn't matter. It's not important to us any longer. It has now been 2 years since we used them, and the reason I waited until now was because we had been waiting for the military plaque to be installed after 2 years. At one point I was told "we have it and will be installing shortly". That, of course did not happen. The few times I was able to get through to a person to speak with I was told either, we are still waiting for it to come it, or it must be in a closet somewhere. How is that an acceptable response. We ended up calling the Veteran Administration to get this done in a matter of weeks. Before the incident with the military plaque, we had already had the headstone in place for the other 2 family members and just needed the engraving for the dates. That went on for over a year. My sister had to hunt down and find out who does engraving at that cemetery by calling headstone engravers in the area until she found someone did that cemetery. My sister even stopped by the funeral home more than once, no one answered. They do not return calls, have been inconsistent when we have been able to reach them and found after a long-term relationship, that we would be treated callously , was hard to understand. Whatever the reason, their line of work is to deal with people at the worst time of their lives, that is a special skill. One that appears they do not possess.

From the start, the funeral director, Rebecca, was unprofessional and dismissive, openly complaining about victims' compensation as if my friend's devastating loss was an inconvenience. Another staff member, Michaela, was equally detached. The pallbearers arrived as instructed, yet they weren't used, and the casket was simply rolled in without care. The most painful moment came when my friend and her family chose not to sit for the viewing--not because they didn't want to, but because the makeup was done so poorly that their loved one was barely recognizable. Concerns had been raised the day before, yet nothing was corrected. A mother was robbed of her final goodbye. A funeral home should provide comfort, respect, and care. Instead, Davis Funeral Home added needless pain to an already unbearable loss. If you are considering them, please think twice--no grieving family should ever be treated this way.

5-Star Review I…read moredon't even know where to begin, because no words can fully express the gratitude I have for Davis Funeral Home, especially Ruth DaSilvera on Cummins Highway in Mattapan. Ruth did not just provide a service she treated my family like her own family. My sister's funeral took place on August 27, 2025, and Ruth supported me every step leading up to that day, with compassion that felt heaven-sent. From the moment my sister Rose Esthere Lacroix passed away in such a tragic and unexpected way, Ruth walked with me through every step with compassion, patience, and a heart full of sincerity. This was my first time ever having to arrange a funeral, and I was overwhelmed, broken, and lost. Ruth wasn't only a funeral director she became a therapist, a counselor, a guide, and a true blessing. She understood the pain of our situation as if she had known my sister personally. She didn't just do her job she cared. When I was trying everything I could to bring my mother and my sister's son from Haiti to attend the funeral, Ruth worked with me without hesitation. She extended time, supported every request, and gave me every possible chance to reunite my family to say goodbye. She never rushed me, never pressured me, and never once made it about money. Her service was pure humanity, with a level of kindness you rarely find in any business today. I truly believe God places certain people in your path during the hardest moments of life, and Ruth was one of those people for us. Without her, my sister's funeral would not have been possible. She stood with me through one of the most painful chapters of my life, and for that, I will always be grateful. Thank you, Ruth, from the deepest place in my heart. Thank you to Davis Funeral Home for having someone like her someone who shows the world that compassion still exists, and that real service is built on love and understanding. I pray God blesses Ruth and this funeral home abundantly. In times like these, people like her are rare, and I am forever thankful. Vincent Etienne

He met with my mother, myself, and another sibling for over 4 hours the next day to obtain the information needed and help my mother decide on her preferences. To be clear, not that much time was needed - but Frank listened attentively and caringly to our various stories and shared some of his own. From our meeting, Frank obtained enough information to put together a lovely draft obituary, which we then augmented. He patiently provided advice and guidance regarding the services to be held and the practicalities. Frank made everything easy - he provided a google drive link for us to upload photos, which his team turned into a video slideshow and digital banner for the wake, collage poster boards for the wake, pages in the guest book, etc. - however, he also offered to scan hard copy photos (even in frames) if that was all we had. They handled everything - even ordering the thank you notes - and it was all lovely - and were thoughtful of my mother's and the family wishes and added comforting touches (for example, arranging for the donation of particularly large flower displays post-service). When the date we selected for the funeral service conflicted with a mass that all (active) priests in the parish were required to attend, Frank reached out to a retired priest he knows to handle the service. I cannot say enough good things about Frank and Joyce Funeral Home.

Bob listened to my mother's wishes and never tried to sell us anything in excess of the modest services we required. The service involved transporting my mother in a hearse from Needham, MA to Iselin, NJ. Bob was there every step of the way. He and a colleague came to bring my mother to the funeral home at 5AM and treated my mother gently and respectfully. He actually drove the hearse himself and remained for the entire graveside ceremony. I am currently in a lot of pain and attended the burial in a wheel chair. I was terrified of the wheelchair tipping over on the uneven ground of the cemetery but Bob, who is a large and strong man, took control of my wheelchair and skillfully got me to the graveside. He told me after the burial, that ours one of the most wonderful of the services he'd witnessed. Ours was very modest, with friends and family speaking from their heart about my mother, some with prepared scripts, some just impromptu. Also, my mother wanted a simple pine box but the coffin was actually attractive and we were surprised that they'd taken that much care with it. Everything went as smoothly as we could have asked for. I recommend Eaton Funeral Home and Bob Timmerman in particular.
