I would like to share with everyone the terrible experience I had on October 31, 2025 while…read morevisiting Stanetsky during the funeral of my brother in law. The gathering for the mourners was reserved at Stanetsky funeral Home between 9:45-10:30 am on October 31. The funeral must be taking place at 11am at the Baker St. Jewish Cemetery. But instead of waiting in the Funeral Home until 10:30 the service organizer gave the order to leave funeral home at 10:10! As the result of this disrespectful action to the grieving people many friends and relatives that came at the right time to the Funeral Home missed the gathering and had the problems to find our procession... I found this absolutely insulting to the mourners. I found this problem only after our funeral procession was on the middle way to the cemetery when my friends started to call me and ask where are you?. I have a question for the director of this Home and for the organizer of this funeral: Is it my job as a mourner to check the timekeeping? Why did we not stay until 10:30 as agreed and pay you with a lot of money for that? Do you have a heart and respect for the mourners??? Are you working in the right business? Why did you give the order to leave home before time for 20 minutes????? Because of this insulting action to the mourners, we came to the cemetery ahead of time.! We supposed to stay on the cemetery under very bad weather conditions and wait rabbi there about 30 min!!!!!! until he comes. Rabbi service was also sooooooo bad that all of us could not wait until he stops talking.

Linda is amazing, she rolled with my dark humor and our extra technology needs like sending a zoom over sees. she was finding us a tri pod before I even thought to ask. Oxana a lovely rabbi, Dan super helpful and has been after as well. I both hope to work with and never to work with any funeral home again. Im just off setting the one star cuz my next funeral will probably be here!

Once my dad was there- It was a sell job, regularly trying to up the game and cost. We wanted cremation. As for cremation, among the request was to split the ashes. Not unusual. We received a corporatee style email confirming the number of "tablespoons" . Yes... I have the email. Further to our chagrin and embarrassment, (we paid in advance, cremation was complete and we had my Dad's remains with us) was the appearance of someone from Stanetsky (late...) with chairs at graveside and while I was standing in front of open grave with Rabbi about to start our prayers, I was approached by him - he had papers for me to sign, that although my brother had signed the conteact, they also needed my signature- WHILE WE WERE STANDING AT THE OPEN GRAVE. There I was signing papers while everyone gathered waited.... horrified! NEVER AGAIN. - Take the time and shop around - ahead of time.

He met with my mother, myself, and another sibling for over 4 hours the next day to obtain the information needed and help my mother decide on her preferences. To be clear, not that much time was needed - but Frank listened attentively and caringly to our various stories and shared some of his own. From our meeting, Frank obtained enough information to put together a lovely draft obituary, which we then augmented. He patiently provided advice and guidance regarding the services to be held and the practicalities. Frank made everything easy - he provided a google drive link for us to upload photos, which his team turned into a video slideshow and digital banner for the wake, collage poster boards for the wake, pages in the guest book, etc. - however, he also offered to scan hard copy photos (even in frames) if that was all we had. They handled everything - even ordering the thank you notes - and it was all lovely - and were thoughtful of my mother's and the family wishes and added comforting touches (for example, arranging for the donation of particularly large flower displays post-service). When the date we selected for the funeral service conflicted with a mass that all (active) priests in the parish were required to attend, Frank reached out to a retired priest he knows to handle the service. I cannot say enough good things about Frank and Joyce Funeral Home.
