Pipes leaked in the wall when the hot water WAS put back on, electrics were put in the wrong place so the fresh plaster had to be ripped out to fix. Was promised a discount for the inconvenience and then received a bill for the full cost. £2800 WITHOUT floor tiling and decoration, and we provided the bathroom furniture ourselves. Absolute rip off, avoid like the plague.

I haven't needed to use an electician for years but, a couple of weeks ago, my main fuse box…read more'tripped' and I couldn't get it to reset. Consequently, I had no power and something of a problem. Looking in the local free paper, I had a choice of 3 or 4 electricians who might be able to help. It was incredibly lucky that I decided to ring VIR. Dave (or should it be David ?) turned up in no time at all and got to work. The problem couldn't be permanently fixed there and then, but he managed to apply a temporary fix and gave me good advice don't use the dodgy old steam iron. 10 days or so later, he's fitted a new modern fuse box (apparently called a 'consumer unit' these days), sorted out a problem in the circuit that was probably my fault, and left me with a happy feeling and a fully functioning system. The service was provided by a very friendly chap and all at a very decent price, too. 4 stars is the least he's worth but I can't give more because there's always the chance that it might all go pear-shaped next week ! I don't think it will and I am confident that if there is any problem, he'll return and sort it out, post haste. This is a business that I'll happily recommend to friends and acquaintances without fear of them being disappointed.

That night I was taken seriously I'll and taken by ambulance to hospital where I was kept in for 1 week. Because of this illness we cancelled our order to which we were informed they were entitled to RETAIN THE £4000. as it stated in the contract.
