Then it turned out my wife was going to be in on the 14th so I sent another message asking that (if it was still possible) the flowers be delivered then; if not the 15th would still be fine. The Black Opal came through and the flowers were delivered on the 14th. My wife and I were thrilled with the result. I will definitely be working with The Black Opal in the future whenever I need flowers.

I don't know whether the flowers would have been delivered at all had I not been texting for 5 hours about it. I had paid for 50% of the flowers before they were delivered, and though I wasn't charged for the other 50%, my request for a refund was ignored. Absolutely DO NOT USE this company, and if you do, be sure to follow up frequently, and don't put down a deposit and pay only after delivery.

No knock at the door upon delivery so I don't know how long the plant sat in the cold before I found it. There was no indication of who sent the plant on the sentiment card. I reached out via phone and was told they could only give me a phone number of another service to call to try to find out who sent it. A few days later, the plant began to die. I checked it closely to find that three bare root plants were place in a planter with no dirt. When I reached out (with pictures), I was told the dirt that was on the bare roots was moldy. That mold was from the florist. I asked for a full refund for the sender and they just gave me another phone number. They were of absolutely no help. This is not what I wanted to be dealing with just after my mother-in-law's death. We were dealing with more important things. I would NEVER recommend using this business as they clearly do not stand behind their service or product. ...... In response to your comment. "over watering" was due to the fact that there was no soil in the pot - it was not over watered, it's just that the water sat at the bottom of the pot that contained bare rooted plants. I couldn't accept a new delivery as I would not have been here to receive it. You have the relationship with Avas, not me. I'm sure you have all the details needed to correct this situation and you should take care of this. You probalby know that they don't answer their phones, request emails, then never reply to those emails. I've been through the process - I tried. I'm asking you to rectify this situation.
