This N That is located in a historic building in downtown Bartow. There is free street parking out front. This kind of store is why I haunt Old Florida towns, to find gems like this. This store is straight up my alley. There are two rooms plus a back area is filled with gorgeous vintage items. Everything is in mint condition and clearly priced which I really appreciate. This is a consignment shop which means folks leave their items here to be sold. In this type of situation I will sometimes ask if the price can be lowered which usually necessitates a call to the owner of the item but here everything was priced to sell. Some of my favorite items were the strawberry print cups and canisters, vintage floral napkin rings, the little ceramic collection of dogs, and a print of an owl. They had what look like hundreds of records and really pretty jewelry. I loved everything. If I lived closer I would be stalking this store all the time. If you find yourself in Bartow and love vintage you need to stop in. To quote a saying from the 1920's, this store is the bees knees! read more

We had not been to this store before and it's not along a major thoroughfare so if you aren't actively searching for it, you would likely never know it's there. This place is truly a find! They are also sell antique, vintage, and shabby chic furniture, wallets, Christmas decorations, plants and pots, decorative bottles, funny signs, ornaments, pottery, bird houses, jewelry, vintage cameras, nuts, chocolate, cups, hats, t shirts, toys, honey, candles, jams, jellies, sauces, and dressings. Items can be custom engraved. I loved the delicate bird ornaments and the gift baskets filled with tasty treats. The owners were friendly and chatting with everyone who came in. At first glance, parking looks completely stupid. It looks as though there are only two parking spots, frequently taken by the employees. This isn't actually the case, though. But we didn't figure that out until months later. Had we figured it out sooner, we'd have been there more often. Now that we know, we will do just that. There's actually a shared lot to the south of the building; it's easy to miss so keep your eyes open! This is no ordinary thrift shop. They've got the coolest, most iconic goodies from eras past. Being an 80s kid, this little shop is packed full of delights I recognize from those days. Toys, old cameras, collectibles, footwear, memorabilia.... they've even managed to stuff an old VW Beetle inside. Rad. Oh and the vintage clothing! Good gravy, it's everywhere! It's perfect for us, as cosplayers. We've found so many pieces for our cosplays here that we couldn't find anywhere else at way better prices than ordering online. Love this shop! Admittedly, my slight claustrophobia creeps up when inside but that's because this place is SO stuffed full of spectacular vintage goodness. Even if you're not in the market for buying anytime, stop in and take a look around.

You just need to be discerning and don't have high hopes for nothing but glitz and glamor. We have purchased some fruits and vegetables, which we have not complaints about. We also have purchased some beautiful healthy plants at reasonable prices, as well as some "garage sale" type items that saved us from having to traverse neighborhoods looking for said type items. They do have vendors that sell miscellaneous "junk" and we have bought a few items from them as well. This may not be a place for the bougie, albeit we did see some booths with bougie (in our minds eyes) items for sale. Even though we have been here a few times I still don't think we have traversed the entire property. There is just so much and so many booths. We'll be back again. Your choice, based upon the totality of the reviews here, whether to spend a couple hours checking it out.

Due to the timing, not all the booth spaces were occupied. We spent about a half hour walking around checking out the folks that were there. There weren't many folks shopping. The vendors are on grass and dirt. You have to be a bit careful walking around as there are many dips and holes in the ground. There was one produce vendor. We got some lovely huge radishes from them for only $1. Most of the other vendors were clothing, tools and accessories, jewelry and a couple household items. One vendor had a mix of antiques, junk, and collectibles. I did find a gal selling some miscellaneous items on a side table -- just to get rid of them at 50 cents apiece. From her, I bought a lovely sheesham wood box that had been spray painted silver. I'll use this for an art project. I also got a pretty silver and black bracelet. So, two bargains for just a $1. They're only open certain days. So double check before you make the trip. I imagine in season -- and not after a holiday -- that there are more vendors, and it would be more worthwhile. I'm still glad we got to go. Always like checking out the different markets and thrifts.

From a distance the shelves look full, but up close there isn't much that stands out. Kind of a "Mona Lisa effect"--better from afar than up close. That said, the staff was friendly. One woman who worked there--short, wore glasses--was especially kind, though I didn't catch her name. The store is laid out nicely, and they had a lot of furniture available. If you're furniture shopping, this might actually be a good stop; the pieces looked decent and reasonably priced. They also appeared to use a color-tag discount system, though I'm not sure if it changes daily. About half the store was clothing, and the other half was bric-a-brac and furniture. I personally didn't find much this visit, but it could've just been an off day. I'd consider checking back in a couple of weeks to see if inventory changes. I did leave with one fun find: a vintage floating pool drink holder shaped like a rainbow, with space for ice and drinks--super cute and only $5. On the flip side, some prices felt off, like used wrapping paper priced at $3 when you can get a new roll at Dollar Tree for $1. Overall, it's worth checking out, especially for furniture, but don't go in expecting major thrifting treasures. Pretty cool that they are open on a Sunday, though. I will give them that. A medium size parking lot right in front. And a big grassy area if you have a dog that needs to go to the bathroom. Check it out? Definitely! Are there better thrift stores in Lakeland? Definitely!
