If you go to this laundromat, you cannot start washing after 9:30. They do state that they close at 11 but they do stop washes at 9:30 now the demeanor that the lady has to the people who come in after hours isn't the best. I had two one big one small wash them at the same time and and it took about three hours and I only half of my clothes. I could understand where the employees frustration could come from, but the way that situations are handled, especially in front of customers is quite outrageous. read more

Came here because my apartment laundry room is closed for repairs and seeing that it's open until 11 pm as listed on the website and the signs inside, came in at 10:25 to get my clothes from the dryer and was told to leave while I was folding my clothes even though there was 30 minutes left till closing super misleading and frustrating. The guy who also told me to leave was incredibly rude towards my husband and child as they were there while I was folding what was left out of the dryer, telling my husband and child that they were messing around and that he was fed up of them And they had to leave. I came in the door only to DRY my half dried clothes at 10:10pm. And the lady working there told me I couldn't DRY my half dried clothes there (that would take 15-20mins at the most to dry) because it was after 10pm..mind you they close at 11:00 pm !!! I already had one load in dryer and she continued to tell me to take that load out because it's past 10 pm so I can't DRY them it was to late. Idk her name but today is the 15th of December time is LITERALLY 10:15PM STILL 45MINS TILL CLOSING I don't understand why people like her enjoy being that way. I am was hopeful coming here. I assumed it would be very clean and all the machines would work. I was wrong. The people hanging here are doing drugs and laundry. Some of them do their laundry four or five times. To top it off, two of the three machines I used were broken. Many of the machines have error codes. If you're looking for a good laundromat, keep looking. Average and the same as all the others... not so great! read more

If I could give a zero I would. I work nights and I am homeless, I don't mean to be a pity party, but I work late some nights. I can't do laundry consistently or as often as others. Cause you know, money is tight. Getting my paycheck late, and getting off work late. There's really no place to do laundry if you work evening/morning shift. They close at 11, I show up at 9:50. I go in thinking the side door is the entrance. I only wanted to do one small load, for work. which would only take 30 mins. And even if my clothes don't get fully dry. I would've been fine. At least I have some semi clean clothes. But this lady comes storming out at me, raising her voice for no reason. "Are you trying to do laundry!?" I was startled and said "yes, I just wanted to do a small load" she grabbed the cart and said "no to late" I said.. "I just wanted to do some clothes, not a lot. Don't you close at 11" she said, "yeah, but it's too late. You gonna be here late having people think we open late" "so no you're to late, I'm taking this back." I got really upset because no one is open late anymore around here expect them. But they really don't close at 11, they close at 10. read more

I've been here twice the first time at 10:15pm and the owner had no problem letting us in and letting us fry our laundry, the dryers work great and we got out of there before closing time. we just drove 30 minutes from our house to get there tonight we arrived at 10:00pm on the dot and i went in, mind you it was rainy so I'm wearing a jacket. I enter and the owner says "and guys like him. we're closed" but he had a lisp and i heard him say wear clothes three times to me till he got up in my face and said "WE'RE CLOSED" I apologized and said sorry I miss heard you. Mind you it says on the door the last wash at 10pm but doesn't actually do that so why not just change the hours instead of blatantly lying. Also the dude looked like a cracked head even walked up to me like one. then my mother walked in and asked and he was a smart ass and said "well actually it's been like this for the last seven years" but yet we got there later the first time we went. if your gonna act like that you don't deserve service or to even be open for the next seven years we won't be going here anymore. If I could rate 0 stars I would dudes an ass don't go here unless you wanna be scared by a stranger who looks and acts like a crackhead but actually is the worker. I am just very thankful for the service. I was running late and my laundry was still wet and the nice guy who cleans up the place let me finish up. I am always happy when I meet actual nice people. This laundry mat is amazing!! It's clean, their isn't a bunch of random people just hanging out, the dryers and washers work well, never had a problem with them, they have a soda machine, snack machine, and mini laundry soap and dryer sheet dispensary machine. They also have a sink to wash off any spills or whatnot... They have a change machine to get quarters as well, no bathroom but the closest bathroom is just right across the street at Safeway... Everything is great EXCEPT the night shift lady who is rude as hell, doesn't talk to you politely, she comes in and has the rudest attitude about being their close to closing! Like you can tell she hates her job.. I hope the manager reads this and does something about it, because I'm not the only one who's complained about her... I had a few run ins with her. One time I showed up at 859 and all I had was a load of WET clothes to dry she said "NO, LAST WASH IS AT 900"! I said I'm not washing I'm just drying, she said "like I said last wash is at 900 anything you put in these machines will be locked and you won't be able to get them out until next day"! So I left. Next encounter was I was their at 850 and had 2 loads to wash and she seen me and said" you know last wash is at 9 anything that is in these machines after 11 are getting locked and you won't be able to get them until next day "! I live really close to this laundromat and have been coming here until I can get my new washer and dryer set up. The place is really clean, like top-notch for a laundromat. I like how almost every machine is coin or card operated. This place gets super busy which is almost unusual for a laundromat but now i sort of understand. Machines were fair priced. Facility was ok for the most part besides those random loiters roaming around looking for whatever their looking for. I'd recommend getting your laundry done in the morning before them creatures wake up around noon. Recommendation to the owner is to hire the loiters as clean up crew or Security, being that they are there all day. Will I return? idk read more

Decent and centraly located. The prices are acceptable: $2.25 to wash and 25¢ per 6 min. of drying time. Dryers get medium-hot, so usually 75¢ is enough for a single wash load + quarter to finish a couple of towels. One time a washer did not count 2 of my coins and did not return the 1st coin it counted. It was late evening and luckily the attendant happened to stop by and gave me a refund so I was able to use the dryer afterwards. Safeway is within walking distance but that's another story. Try it if you're hungry. Pro tip: if u have a decent car then skip the dusty 3rd-world parking lot and park on L Street on the other side of the building. I've never used a laundromat before moving into my most recent apartment, and this one makes it easy for me to make the switch. It's always clean, the machines are quick, and if you go at the right time you won't have to wait for a machine. The owner does a great job maintaining the machines and the staff keeps an eye on what's happening in the laundromat during business hours. The one time I was approached by someone persistently asking for money and not taking no for an answer, they were quick to respond to the situation. The vending machine is always stocked, and the coffee place across the street has an easily accessible walk-up window to grab a coffee while your laundry dries. read more

This laundromat has machines that work. Beyond that, I wouldn't give this place any kudos. For the neighborhood's benefit, the owners of this place should really do some landscaping, building repair and painting, etc., for neighborhood morale. It truly is an eyesore. If they can't afford to fix it up, they should sell it to someone who will. I would go to a newer, nicer laundromat any day over this place and I only live less than two blocks away. The laundromat was very clean and there was plenty of table space to organize and fol, as well as an abundance of carts with racks for hanging attached. I also appreciated the credit card or quarters options. I hate loading money onto store cards. A few of the driers were down, but not enough to be an issue. There was also ample parking. There was an attendant, which made me feel safe. Unfortunately, there was no restroom, water fountain nor air conditioning. It was hot and muggy and I was miserable. I love that for SOME of the washers you can use a credit/debit card, apple/samsung pay or quarters. Pricing isn't bad either. Don't over fill the dryers because you'll still end up spending the same amount to get the clothes dry whether you over fill them or not. read more

The owner is creepy. I was sitting out in my car and took an unexpected call which caused me to be on the phone for 45 mins parked in his parking lot. He came over and harassed me for sitting in the parking lot "too long". I won't be using this laundromat ever as he makes you feel very unwelcome. read more

The first 3 times I used this laundromat were great experiences. The gentleman even asked me if I needed help with anything and genuinely meant it when I strolled in 5 minutes before last load. Only complaint I had were the dryers took a little bit longer than my liking. Then on the 4th and last visit a lady was there working.(I believe it's a family and they own the house behind) and she was very rude and I almost asked her if she didn't want my business... like I was a problem using her laundromat. She turned a breaker off and proceeded let me keep putting quarters into it when it was off. Then when I asked for a refund she claimed she didn't have access to the machines. You could feel the tension amongst the customers as if we were at a catholic boarding school which is bullshi** given we all were paying customers. I like the convenience and close proximity - I also have spoken with the owner who seems to be concerned with what is happening. I have, however, tired to call him since Wednesday morning and he does not answer and his mailbox is full. A young lady employee was extremely rude to me the other morning. I arrived at 6:35 that morning, thinking that they opened at 6:30. I asked the young lady as she came out and she curtly told me they now open at 7 for winter hours. It was pouring outside so I figured I would just wait in my car till they opened so I would not have to go back home just to return in a few minutes. She gave me dirty looks both times she came out - then a young man came out and told me I was NOT allowed to wait in the lot because "she did not want me parked there if they were not opened." He told me I had to leave immediately! I asked why she did not mention it and he responded that she did not want to be the bad guy. I was doing no harm to anyone. I drove to the 56th St laundromat as I was not going to frequent that one with such rude staff but they did not open till 8 and I had a busy day ahead of me. I reluctantly went back to the other one and both of them hid in the office the entire time I was there. Not impressed - my washer needs to be replaced and the two of them just made it more of a priority. I hope the owner clears his voicemail - I am going to continue to call until I reach him.
