Super clean men's restroom

I thought I would try a different laundromat today and based on the good reviews of this laundromat I made the drive from Lacey to here. All the reviews are correct. This laundromat looked like it's been here for quite some time but it is super super clean. I posts pics of the bathroom as well because sometimes that can be one of the tell-tale signs that you're in for a bad experience. The machines are quarter machine and not tokens which is great. $2.50 for the small single loaders, $5.00 for the triples, & $6.50 for the quads as of 1/26/14. This is the pretty standard price for washes at most laundries. As noted the hours are M-Sun 7:30 am - 9:00 pm with last load at 8:00. This is great for me as my other laundromat has last load at 7:00. One big difference I noticed from my regular laundromat and this one is the lack of a lot of machines. They only have 4 each of the quads and triples. I usually go to a laundromat in Lacey that has at least 12 triples and about 6 quads. I'm not complaining as this laundry wasn't super busy on a Sunday but I can see the quantity of machines being and issue on more of a busy day like Saturday. The area seems safe as well and the parking lot was also clean. I guess this is to be expected for University Place. This is a very nice laundromat and I will definitely be back if I am in a pinch & need to wash clothes later than my usual laundromat allows.

This was one of the cleanest laundromats I have been to. They have a lot of washers for regular, super large and giant loads. Of course, it will cost more the bigger the washer is. I used the super large washer which needed 18 quarters ($4.50). Dryers will start at $0.25, but I forgot how many minutes you get per quarter. The vicinity is quite large. They have restrooms available for both sexes, a tv for entertainment and seats. They also have dispensers for detergent, bleach and softeners if you forget to bring your own, although you do need to pay for them. Need change? They got a machine as well to give you that. I came during non-peak hours so parking was easily found but it seems as if parking will be easy to find even during busy hours. If you need help, you can just go next door to the dry cleaners. I'm absolutely sure that they own the laundromat although I haven't confirmed it with the workers. FYI, the last load is at 8:00pm

This neighborhood laundromat on 35th and Madison has been a local staple for years, but the recent…read morechange in ownership has brought some really exciting energy to the place! The new owners are clearly working incredibly hard to give the space the TLC it deserves. You can see the progress in the much-needed upgrades they're making--not just aesthetically to make it a more pleasant place to wait, but mechanically and electronically as well. As with any new endeavor, there have been a few minor hiccups along the way, but what impresses me most is how quick they are to respond and how dedicated they are to fixing and cleaning. A few reasons I keep coming back: Consistency: It is consistently clean and accessible. Affordability: The prices are fair, and their loyalty app is a game changer. If you're like me and do laundry every week, being able to earn dollars off future loads really adds up! Hours: Their operating hours are fantastic and very convenient for a busy schedule. I really appreciate the hard work the new team is putting in to keep this corner laundromat a reliable part of our community. Definitely recommend checking them out!

I dropped two dry sheets on the ground and here comes the owner with a broom like where are you really going with this broom you can't wait.. well one thing for sure I would never go back into that establishment again not why they own that business.. I stay in a apartment complex walking distance I'm telling everybody about this rudeness I have been going there over 20 years never again..

Although there are much closer options to my house than Fresh Folds, this one looked the cleanest and it isn't coin-operated, so I decided to go with it. I am very glad that I did, because I had a very pleasant experience. No randoms hanging around causing trouble, no foul smelling washing machines (I read a review that complained about such at a different laundromat), a fairly clean interior, and decently priced options for what you get. In order to use the machines you load or reload a card specific to this business with a minimum of $10 (at least at self-service). Then you wave the card over the designated area on the machines to start them up. It's pretty much all self-service, but there was an attendant at the register who helped people. They also sell laundry essentials such as detergent, fabric softener, laundry bags, and they also have a vending machine to purchase food at. They have a gender neutral bathroom that appears to require their laundry card, but it says "$0.00", so I assume it's to make sure only customers gain access. Something else I noticed is that the washers and dryers have Spanish translations! (Price Range): $15+ (Machines): I used the mid sized machine ($8.59 a load) to wash all of my regular clothes, which I estimate to be about 3 loads. It states that it can hold 4 loads. For the smaller machine ($4.25 a load), I washed two heavy coats. The clothes came out smelling and looking great. The dryer is $.75 per 8 minutes, which isn't bad in my opinion. The second largest machine is $10.58 and holds 6 loads. The largest machine is $14.10 and holds 8 loads. (Location): It's located within a small business center in a fairly decent part of Tacoma. Good amount of parking spots. It's a decent sized establishment on the smaller side, and there are 6 regular chairs and 4 barstools for people to sit and wait. Both the machines have dispense areas at the top where you pour your softener, detergent, main wash, pre wash, and 2nd main wash. There are wash settings for heavy or soiled loads, adding an extra rinse, delicates, warm, cold, hot, etc. (Service): There was an attendant, but I didn't interact with him at all.

The location is convenient for me but kind of tucked away in the plaza it's in, easy to miss. Reload your laundry cards there, they even have a snack machine that you can also use your laundry card to get snacks from. I can't get away without spending $11 on a wash load because I only come with king sized bedding but it's nice to do it all at once and I can't get it into my own washer at home. The dryer runs me about $8, it's .75 for 8 minutes and you load up from there. A warning - if you are only washing a large blanket like a king sized comforter you may error out the dryer. This only happened to me 1 out of 5 times. But I guess when the blanket fluffs up it covers the vacuum holes and causes the dryer to emergency shut off. I had to keep an eye on it the whole time and it added a good 30 min to my cycle. Very annoying but better than not being able to wash and dry my bedding !! By the way I went to the location on 72nd because it's near my work and the card I purchased and have always used at UP did not work there. So the same card will not work at both locations and you'll have to buy separate laundry cards and your balance won't transfer. Other than that I would tell everyone to use this place except for I don't want to have to wait my turn if you all come.

I was putting my clothes in the dryer and a very rude lady with a mullet came up to us and aggressively asked why I didn't grab a cart for my laundry, I was confused and continued to load our clothes. She then yelled loudly that I can't dry my clothes and last wash and dry was at 8pm. I asked why I couldn't dry my clothes since I wasn't washing them and it was about 8:15pm and they didn't close till 9:30pm. She told me I needed to take my clothes out. As she's yelling at me a man came up in front of me and began to load his dryer with clothes. I asked again why I couldn't dry and he could. She began ranting about how her boss made the rule and nobody can think for themselves there? My toddler got scared from her yelling and I was physically upset. She then told me I need to leave when I asked why and pointed out the other dryers had over 30 minutes left. I was extremely embarrassed due to the multiple people in there that witnessed it and seeing my child get upset. All I wanted was to dry my clothes. I have never been treated that disrespectfully in my life and I will never go back there again.
