The manager and artist, Alycia, gave us the low down, treating us like we were paying customers when clearly we would not be. She even has a little demo booth where she shows the technique of the soft paintings. They are gorgeous and run, she said, between $400-$10,000. A shooting occurred outside the building and the owner (?) employee working there started yelling forcefully for everyone to get out of the gallery screaming there was a shooting. He pushed everyone out and one of the people being pushed out said "wouldn't we be safer inside?" The man proceeded to kick everyone out and lock his gallery and hid behind a curtain peaking at all of the people he just kicked out that were huddled in the lobby shocked and nervous about an active shooter outside. This is APPALLING behavior from a local gallery owner as first Friday is a local event with LOCALS that come to support your gallery and spend money. The fact that he threw us all out to which the female employee muttered something along the lines of "at least we will be safe" is unforgivable. You should be ashamed of yourselves not only as people of the Vegas community but as humans.

Speak about hidden gems... hung on their back wall is Salvador Dali's "March of Time Committee" - his largest painting and one of the most renowned art pieces in the world. And below that they have prints from his Divine Comedy series. It's quite amazing that just a few yards from the age old (and very cheesy, excuse me) "Atlantis" show in Cesar's Palace, these masterpieces are on display. Other than those, the space is beautiful and elegant. Their Erté collection is amazing - the manager, Nicholas, who was super nice and cordial, told us they manage Erté's estate. You'll also find many big names like Chagall, Picasso, Murakami, and Warhol here. In our visit in March of 2024, we saw an amazing number of works by Takashi Murakami on display and open to public viewing for free! All that said, their prints are privacy - Dali's unsigned prints of the Divine Comedy series would cost around $1200 here while many of pieces are in the public domain (according to Open Culture and a number of university sites). No photography allowed so I don't have too many photos to share. Only a couple that I took before I was stopped. This review is for the Arte Museum in Las Vegas. I have…read moremixed emotions about this review because it was an interesting concept and had some enjoyable features, but as I left I felt it fell flat overall. Here it goes: This is not easy to find - check prior to heading over to ensure you know where you are going. The price is not cheap for the small size of the Museum. If you add a taxi/UBER/LYFT to get there it may be too pricy for the end product. It is your money - you decide. Once inside after checking in, there are several rooms you enter in a self-guided manner. The flow of the walking is ONE direction. Therefore, if you felt like you wanted to see something again, you would be going against traffic. If you have issues with vertigo or balance, this is perhaps not the Museum for you. There is lots of glass and things moving against tiles and glass and we found ourselves stopping to catch our balance a couple of times. In some rooms, prior to entering, although there are signs up saying "do not block doorway" everyone did trying to get pictures or videos making it hard to enter. There were not any staff inside the Museum directing people accordingly. Also, some of the guests were actually sitting on the floor to take videos of themselves as if they were sitting in water - this only created a road block for those who were trying to move on. Each room is unique and some are more "active" and larger in size than others. There is one area where you can color a page, scan it in, and it will become part of the animation. We waited 10 minutes for a seat to participate and none became available, so we left that area disappointed. The cafe, as other reviewers have noted, was a disappointment. They showcase it on their website as something very much different than it is. The man working the cafe counter the day we were there evidentially did not enjoy his job. I don't know why he stays if he is that unhappy. The cafe indicates: A feast of live garnish expressed with media art on attractive drink and dessert menus. I guess we missed this part! LOL! The latte we were served was about 1/3 of a cup - if we would have poured it out into a measuring cup. For $7 that is not worth it - pass on that folks. There is a sign on the cafe table indicating you can use it (after you have purchased items there) for 10 minutes. And they mean it!! A very small bottle of what they call "rainwater" was $5.00. Who in the world would buy that - but we saw people with it. Maybe they got it for a souvenir? Speaking of the souvenir shop: It was unique - there were many items priced under $10 or $15. So, if you really wanted something, you could find something at a reasonable price. I would check out the videos people have posted on YouTube to decide if this is worth the investment for yourself. We were in and out in an hour to give you an idea of how much you are spending for an hour of your time.

I was confronted, forced out, and threatened…read morewith security by the artist simply for returning to view the gallery after noting a small quote error. I expected art -- not hostility. FULL STORY: I visited Kush Fine Art to quietly view and appreciate the gallery. During my first visit, I noticed a small factual error in a quotation attributed to Aristotle in one of the artist's books, "Light for the souls" and left a polite sticky note with the correct citation, and full quote from Aristotles Poetics, after briefly mentioning it to the gallery consultant. I did not touch or interfere with any artwork and left when asked during what they told me was an inventory check. When I returned the next day simply to view the gallery again, I saw the artist, Vladmir Kush, and wanted to tell him how nice his art was, and even bring up the quote. He immediately confronted me aggressively, questioned why I was there, physically ushered me out, told me never to return, and threatened to call security on me -- despite my behavior being respectful and non-disruptive. I found this reaction unnecessary, hostile, and deeply unprofessional. Regardless of disagreement or sensitivity around a correction, no visitor should be treated this way for calmly viewing a gallery or pointing out a minor factual error. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I would not recommend this space. (4/5) We had a…read morereally fun time at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum! It's the perfect size for families with young kids, and I'd recommend it most for ages 2-8. Our kids loved all the interactive exhibits, especially the fossil dig, the moving sand table, and the hands-on play areas. There was plenty to keep them engaged, and they also enjoyed seeing the dinosaurs, marine life, and live animals throughout the museum. Admission: Around $15 for adults and $7 for children (ages 3-11). Kids 2 and under are free, making it an affordable family outing. Parking: Free parking is available, which was a huge plus. Tips: * Plan for about 2-3 hours to see everything. * The hands-on exhibits are the highlight, so allow extra time for those. * Great indoor activity, especially during the hot Las Vegas summer. The museum isn't huge, which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, but it's clean, well maintained, and offers a fun, educational experience for young children. We'd definitely recommend it to families visiting Las Vegas!
