This is a rummage at best items are laid out by type (i.e. trousers, skirts, t-shirts etc) and by size. Yes some items are factory seconds but some aren't and if you find an item you like if there doesn't seem to be anything obviously wrong with it check it. Some imperfect items will have an imperfect label on the price tag but not always. Common flaws on the clothes sold: broken zips missing buttons loose threads seam not stitched pen marks Zips can be mended and if you need a replacement zip then go into one of the charity shops nearby as they stock zips from items that were too worn for sale and these are usually about 10p. Again the same with missing buttons. Loose threads can be cut and missing seams can be stitched. The pen marks is a common one and biro washes out. I managed to get Bench trousers for a fiver and a Ben Sherman top for £1. You have to be patient looking through this store and its always busy. There are a couple of changing rooms but these aren't that big. Word of advice about the jeans they sell, never take it for granted the size it says they are and what they actually are are the same. Some of the jeans they get are mislabeled so try things on or measure them. Staff are friendly and helpful. Brand names I've seen in this store are bench, Ben Sherman, Monsoon, M&S, Primark, TopShop, Levis and Lipsy and there are many more.

There's also a cute range of kid's formal wear- it's hanging right up above so you'd be forgiven for missing it! From far below these suits and dresses look really smart and quite good quality, I think they'd be better dumping all the JLS t shirts and velour tracksuits and promoting these! The women's section is the largest but, for the most part, it's a little tacky and cheap, although there area couple of nice items mixed in. I think I was put off by the layout and presentation of the merchandise; it looks more like a warehouse or a stock room than a shop floor, perhaps I was also put off by the mother screaming at and threatening her young daughter while paying for her own garments, nice clientele!

Never been so mortified in all my life! I asked him to check cameras which he refused and said he didn't have any, then I also asked him to call police and he wouldn't so I said I would. Utterly vile behaviour to a customer! Me and my mother had been there a few months previous and my mum spend over £100 in there. maybe that rejogs his memory! oh He found the item he accused me of stealing then proceeded to tell me he seen me throw it back (he asked to check my bag) if he witnessed me throwing it back why would u want to search my bag? Utterly disgusting don't go here unless u want to leave feeling humiliated and accused of being a thief! I gave him a piece of my mind before I left. And on top of that you have to spend your life wearing granny bras and over-the-shoulder-bolder-holders. Now that there's a Bravissimo in Liverpool, all that has changed. Say goodbye to your dull grey bosom buddies that could theoretically be used as hammocks. Bravissimo stocks girly, colourful bras that fit all sizes, even the sizes that you didn't dream were physically possible without surgical enhancement. Not only that, they also have a range of clothes and swimwear for the top-heavy lady. I'm not really bothered about the swimwear, as I don't like strap marks so my bikinis usually disappear as long as no one's looking, but the clothes are essential. Available in curvy, really curvy or super curvy, even the sizes don't make you think of yourself as overly big. A must have for all top heavy women, but good for 'normal' sizes too. If you haven't discovered Bravissimo yet, I pity your boyfriends.....

They come in all shapes, sizes and colours so it doesn't matter if you want to look pretty in pink or bold in blue, they have it all. Their prices are normally higher than most standard stores but this is understandable due to their difference. Bravissimo is not your average shop and you will not find any shop similar nearby, so it is a great place to find what you're looking for.

Lady Bountiful hopes to fill the gap in the market, much like Long Tall Sally, but what I fail to understand is why these stores lose sense of the latest trends in doing so. I think it's more than possible for a plus-sized woman to be able to wear contemporary fitted skirts, jackets and blouses in simple and clean fabrics, in fact in my opinion it gives them more shape. But all I see here are boxy and baggy blouses covered in patterns or with ruched detailing to cover the girls up like tents. Yes, some of the trousers and skirts are simpler, but still they feel like they're devoid of any of the latest fashion styles seen on the high street. It's just not for me because this store refuses to incorporate current trends at all, something a lot of larger girls really want to be able to wear.

Each season I can find a selection of wardrobe staples (trousers, shorts, top, skirts) from well-established European ranges. This makes it possible for me to combine and mix-and-match. Alice and her team always have a friendly, yet professional approach, I'm always made welcome and I know that I'll find something that's well-made and unusual.

They sell clothing for larger ladies such as jeans, dresses, underwear, swimwear, tops, suits, jewellery, accessories and outerwear. The items available are all a bit samey. The basic items such as jeans and work trousers are good and fairly inexpensive but there isn't really anything that stands out. The staff are very helpful. When you go to the fitting room to try items on the attendant will take the items off you, lead you to a free fitting room out of the many available, and then advise you to ask them if you need any help. They are happy to bring you more sizes and if the size you need is not in store they will phone round other stores to see if they have it, or they will order it specially for you and contact you when it has arrived. That's because Evans has clothing similar to what you'd expect to find in Next, but for slightly cheaper prices. Starting at size 14 and going up to a 32, this is the place to feel comfortable if you're carrying a few extra pounds and are worried that you'll never get the latest fashions in your size. At the moment the shop is full of florals and nautical clothing, and there are some fab items in the sale too. The shop assistants are nice and friendly and know what they're talking about, and even the security guards understand when you furtively dart inside the door to make sure no one sees you (it's not always 'cool' to shop at oversized clothes stores) Definitely somewhere I'd head after the post-Christmas pounds to stock up on comfy gear until the New Year diet kicks in round about March...
