I was being helped by a teller who CLEARLY didn't know how to deposit a MONEY ORDER. I simply asked her to ask for help and she quickly REFUSED! I went and cashed them NO PROBLEM at another bank across town (with a skilled teller) and brought back cash and a check to deposit and asked to be helped by another teller who AGREED the money orders should have been accepted and since they were blank they just needed to be written out. On my way out I explained to her she should've asked for help, she REFUSED to acknowledge her mistake and proceeded to argue with me along with a ignorant banker who had no idea what was going on. He jumped to her defense having no ideal how she handled me as a customer, he made the situation worse. I wasn't sure if he was an actual banker or a body guard. I QUICKLY CLOSED MY ACCOUNT. Rude & unprofessional is a understatement! ZERO customer service was shown to me today. I will also be moving my loan as well. EDIT: she did step off to ask a banker about the money order, I could tell the banker was busy because she didn't take her eyes off of her computer to even look at the money order. So when she came out I requested she ask someone else because NEITHER of them had clue. Altra is worthless!! I mean imagine being a landlords taking rent payments by MONEY ORDER banking at Altra.

Bremer Bank is a financial chain in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and North Dakota. I had never heard about…read moreBremer Bank until I became a resident of Minnesota a while back. Whenever I'm in the southern part of Rochester, I tend to hit a plaza with Kohl's, Michaels, Five Below, and New China Restaurant. I always pass by this branch. Yesterday, I was curious about this branch and visited the drive-thru. I tried doing a transaction at the ATM and seeing what would happen. The weird thing about the ATM was that you insert your card horizontally. By default, you typically insert your card vertically at an ATM. It was quite the change, but I did it. Since my Canadian debit card is not a part of Bremer Bank's network, I was informed that proceeding with a cash withdrawal would incur a $3 network charge. Needless to say, I didn't perform this transaction. My card was returned to me horizontally. Again, it was weird. I guess Bremer likes being different. It was fairly quiet at this branch at around 3 pm on a Tuesday afternoon. The branch was open. It was nice to finally check this branch out at long last. (483)

My husband and I have used Think Bank for 50 years, but it started as a credit union. When they…read moreconverted to a bank, we were much less satisfied with the costs and services. I only use the app to manage our accounts. Recently, I didn't notice that the default transfer account was not the checking account, and ended up with payment money going to the wrong account. We were then granted a line of credit, but not notified about it. When I tried to pay it off, it apparently had accrued interest that wasn't shown, so I didn't actually get it paid off. This resulted in more charges. It cost us about $100 in fees and finally took calling the bank and having them transfer money to pay it off to eliminate the line of credit. Most of our money is now at Ally Bank. They have much better rates and great service. We just keep some money at Think Bank to have a local bank.

I have been a Think Bank customer for many years. When I first arrived in Rochester to settle into…read morea new phase in my life, one of the recommendations was to open a bank account at IBM Credit Union, which was Think Bank's former name. It made sense, as my employer was IBM. During my time in Minnesota. I only visited two IBM Credit Union locations: - Its main headquarters on West River Parkway NW in Rochester, which has since moved to Members Parkway - Edina (there is one, but I don't know if it has moved) When I left Rochester and moved back to Winnipeg, the bank changed its name to Think Mutual Bank. It has since dropped the Mutual part. I found the name change weird at first. However, Big Blue isn't the powerhouse that it used to be in Minnesota, so it always seemed like a premonition that the folks making the name change had. During my most recent stay, I visited Rochester a couple of times. I was driving up from Iowa and I remembered that there was a Think Bank on the south part of Rochester, but had never been. I did a quick search and found it. I needed to withdraw some cash, so I drove over here. This branch has a lot of parking spots. It's because it shares the same building with the Rochester Post Bulletin, which is the local newspaper. It brought back good memories of reading this newspaper both online and on paper. It had a restaurant section, which helped me figure out where to eat when I first arrived and beyond. It was my version of Yelp, especially being so new to the city. The branch wasn't open when I rolled in well after 6 pm on a Sunday. There are a few drive-thru bays. I only needed the ATM lane, which has always been the lane that I've used at Think. If you do need a human to help you with your transactions at the drive-thru, you'd use the other lanes during branch hours. The ATM was functional. The prompts have changed since I last used it over a decade ago, as expected, as have the look and feel using the ATM. I have been without a debit card because I didn't have the need for one. However, I visit the Twin Cities often now, so it made sense to get a debit card sent to me. It worked seamlessly. I withdrew some cash and was a happy camper. The ATM was clean. I had no problem driving in and out of the parking lot. All was great, including the clear signs everywhere. Perhaps when I'm back in Rochester and this branch is open, I'll go inside to check it out. I'm curious about the Post Bulletin, too. I never thought that I'd see both together. It's cool. (125)
