It was October 11, 2013 when I officially ruined Christmas…read more I had been planning since the beginning of the summer to get boudoir photos taken and surprise Hubs for the holidays this year. The problem is that when it comes to surprises, my brain goes into four-year-old-mode and my mouth becomes about the size of Dallas. I. CAN'T. HELP. IT. In the months leading up to photo shoot day, I asked Hubs EVERYDAY (again, think four-year-old-mode) if he wanted to know what his Christmas gift was going to be. Every time, he would firmly reply, "No, I like waiting. I want to be surprised." Well, after much anticipation, shoot day did finally come. I tried my damndest to keep my mouth shut. I made up that I was attending a salon/spa Yelp event...at 8am on a Saturday...carrying a big duffel bag...so that was why I was going to come back with my hair and make up done. I know, SUPER fishy. I'm a terrible liar. But that kid is so trusting and all he said was, "Have fun!" My experience with the ladies of deBoudoir Austin was awesome from the moment that I stepped into the studio until the moment that I left after choosing photos. Rachel Leigh was so helpful when I was shopping for lingerie, and she skillfully infused my fine, flat hair with the kind of volume that any southern lady would be envious of. When I was all ready, Alina took over the reins, and I can honestly say that I have not met a more talented photographer. Photography is an art- some people have the gift to do it well and some people don't. I'm pretty sure this lady could even make my dog (no offense, Lilly) look like she belongs in Playboy. The last person who I worked with was the manager, Rachel. She was incredibly down to earth and easy going, and her input was very valuable when it came down to going through the 130+ beautiful photos and choosing my favorites. So this journey began with four year old Ann, and trust me, it ends with four year old Ann as well. After I finally chose the photos that I didn't want to live without, I left the studio- giddy as shit- to meet Hubs for dinner. I WAS going to at least make myself wait to print the photos and put them in an album or scrapbook before I presented them to him, but...umm...yeah, that didn't happen. I consulted with my staff (i.e., me, myself, and a 750 mL bottle of beer) and made the executive decision to pull up the photos online (you have full rights to the photos that you purchase) and show him that night. He was speechless. "Best present you've ever received?" "Um. Yes. By FAR." Fast forward a day later, and I'm now having the photos developed and will start physically putting together the gift today. I'm probably going to end up handing that over early too. Big surprise, huh? So it isn't even Halloween yet and Hubs has pretty much already gotten his Christmas present for this year. He doesn't seem to mind THAT much though.

From the moment I walked in the doors, all the girls were so excited about each outfit and were there to help me put things together. I was handed a glass of wine and sat in the prep chair for my hair and makeup with Kylie...which turned out FLAWLESS!!! If you have the resources I definitely recommend getting hair and make up. Make up at the very least.....makes your pictures so much bolder. I asked for a bolder natural look and that is exactly what I got...not over done. And lashes helped :) i was made to feel so comfortable during the photo shoot. Everything felt natural and easy (and it was proven when I saw my final product). The studio has so many different angles and Alina knows how to work all of them into your outfit and energy. It was nice to have a one on one with Alina. I debated on bringing my sister or best friend but I truly believe it is best to go by yourself. After all, this is and should be for yourself and you will be less likely to hold back. I cannot express enough how easy going and professional Alina is. She will play music and fill your wine glass (appropriately ;)) to help you feel at home. When I went back to view my photos I was astonished. I had never done anything like this before and I looked like I had been doing it for years. The shots and editing are impeccable and timeless. They are definitely VERY pricey......sort of have to think of it as buying wedding photos, but they are so worth it. Every shot is gorgeous and there was no way I was going to just be able to pick a few. Luckily, they have a payment plan you can do in 4 months or less.....totally worth it. I do not regret it. Side note, I added 30 minutes (extra $$ but I had done the groupon so it wasnt a big deal) and I ended up doing to fine art shoot. This is a totally nude shoot but all in black and white and is the most beautiful art I have ever seen....and its me!!! Literally breath taking. Every woman should do it if they can! They are so soft and artistic and capture the most intimate and beautiful curves. I am not one that is shy about being nude but I was nervous about posing and afraid my face would look awkward (seeing as Im a casual/goofy lady.....not girly or "sexy" if you will). I was almost in tears seeing these photos. Amazing work. I have no problem giving these ladies 5 stars...I wish there were more. My only con is the price of pics......but who cares.......when you see the outcome youll understand. Thank you Kylie, Alina, and Rachel.....such a beautiful job you ladies do. On top of that RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE, I've had a boudoir done cost me about $4500 & got 100 images on flash drive, app on my phone PLUS an album with my pictures. But this lady wants to charge almost $5000 for 15 images that aren't even good quality... definitely rushed and not fun. DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BOOKING & DONT LET HER PRESSURE YOU INTO BUYING ANYTHING DAY OF ... she weirdly keeps all her clients photos forever (HER WORDS)

The website still had the same info and when I went to that there was no way for me to reach Argentina. I reached out to my credit card company, they to could not reach her so they refunded my money to me. A few weeks AFTER my money was given back to AMEX said that the merchant reached out to them and showed proof of purchase. As I told AMEX, I never said I didn't pay, there is just no way to ANYONE from this company to get my $$ back. I since then have been trying to reach this "Argentina" via email so I have a paper trail and SHOCKER, I have heard NOTHING in about 1.5 months since asking the owner about my refund.

When I reviewed the proofs they were beautiful but I felt like a model after the subtle touch ups. She over accomplished my goal of helping me to bring the sexy back. LFE (Lori and Eric Ferguson Photography) was recommended to me for my wedding photos. We had been…read morehaving bad luck finding a photographer, as all of my friends whom are photographers were not available during the weekend of our wedding. We met Lori and Eric at their house and discussed the wedding and photos at length, ultimately, they agreed to do our shoot for an incredible price and throw in pregnancy photos. It seemed like an amazing deal. We had a verbal agreement with LFE, but they told us they would be sending us a contract for us to sign, as they didn't have one drafted at the moment. My husband received an e-mail from LFE, which contained the pricing info discussed, but no contract - I verified there was no contract in the e-mail. My husband came to the conclusion that LFE would probably draft the contract closer to the wedding or have us sign it the day of. In addition, Lori and I had a preggo shoot, and they kept in contact with us - never mentioning the contract. We sent Lori & Eric a wedding invite, which we sent to all of the people we hired so that they would have the specific address, no response. We never heard anything about engagement shots. My husband had hung out with Eric and nothing was said. five days before the wedding, I called LFE and asked what the deal was, Lori sounded dumbfounded and explained that they hadn't received the contract from my husband; therefore, they cancelled the plans to shoot our wedding. I was infuriated, I thought my husband dropped the ball, but he showed me their e-mail, sans contract. I contacted LFE, who lied, insisting they sent it, and ended up begrudgingly agreeing to shoot the wedding, and had me sign a contract. Excuse me, but if the contract is so important, make sure you send it! If you have not received it, contact the customer and ask before you cancel! They had plenty of opportunities to bring it up, but refused to take responsibility. I was 8 months pregnant and stressed. Lori decided she'd be the only photographer, I was somewhat disappointed at only having one photographer since we had verbally agreed to two, which was part of what I was paying for. We had a small wedding on a boat, so I decided to drop it. My guests complained that Lori was rude, but I had brushed it all off. We only had 2 small requests: we get a shot with each of our 30 guests and we get a shot of us under the amazing full moon. When we received our pictures, they were great, except Lori failed to take pics of most of my guests, so it looked like a lot less than 30 people, and most of the shots we took with each guest were missing, something our guests noticed when they weren't in any shots. What sucked most about this is that pics with my closest friends weren't even included that I know we had pictures with. Also, the moon shot looked like something a 4 year old took - it was such poor quality, we were incredibly disappointed. Recently, my husband was made privy to conversations Lori & Eric had with my husband's ex. We didn't know they were friends, nor would we care as long as it didn't affect our professional relationship. In the messages Lori & Eric claimed they never wanted to shoot our wedding in the first place and had hoped that they could get out of it (THIS explains the contract ordeal), Lori claimed our wedding was trashy, chaotic, unorganized, and that my mother-in-law made "disgusting box cake". She also made sure to let my husband's ex know that my father is an alcoholic who didn't make it to the wedding and my brother had to walk me down the aisle. Really low blow. Lori also mentioned that the messages should be kept secret so they wouldn't have to refund our money. A) Our wedding cake was from scratch and delicious. Yeah, my mother-in-law didn't make it look the way I wanted, but at least she tried B) Our wedding wasn't trashy - it was simple and beautiful, which is what we wanted. We were surrounded by our loved ones and it was very laid back but detailed and perfect for US C) The only way my wedding was chaotic was when my dad didn't show. The wedding was organized, but when it came to cutting the cake and opening presents, it was a matter of catching my husband in order to do so because he was so excited he was celebrating our long-awaited nuptials and hugging all of our friends. Calling a couple out on their wedding day to one of the PAYING party's exes is totally unacceptable, especially including the part about my dad and calling our perfect little Texas wedding "trashy". That would be like me saying Lori looks like she eats McD's every day. If Lori & Eric didn't want to shoot our wedding, they could have told us, but instead they lied, caused a lot of stress, and spread rumors. Their actions were disgusting and completely unprofessional. If you consider hiring them, they may not know people to gossip to, but would you really want to hire people that would trash talk you and act totally unprofessional to your face and behind your back?

Lori has shot several personal sessions of my son as he has grown and I am always amazed that she always comes up with new and interesting shots. She has a unique eye and doesn't do the same thing every time. She is always on the lookout for new places to shoot as well. Aside from the sports and school pictures I have around then house, all of the other photos Lori has shot. I get compliments on them all of the time. I loved Lori's photos so much, I thought that she might be able to help my company out with our commercial photos. We were looking for a unique homelike style and she absolutely nailed it. We use her photos on packaging, brochures, publications and even our website. We loved them so much that we blew up 15 images and hung them all over our office. Lori is also very accommodating and works with our deadlines. We have never had a problem...not once. I highly recommend LFE Photography for any of your photography needs.

From getting ready for the ceremony all the way until the very last dance they were there to capture every moment. A co-worker of mine won a photo session with Flashpool at a charity event. She had a underwater dog…read moreshoot with Flashpool and raved about the great experience. I was so impressed after seeing those photos, I just had to get photos of my dog too. I contacted Sarah Teveldal, owner of Flashpool, and she responded very quickly to set up the photo shoot. She coordinated the pool and was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process, including when our first photos shoot got rained out. My dog (a mini dachshund) was nervous during the photo shoot and hesitant to jump in the water- Sarah still managed to work with her and get her in the pool. She also came up with great out-of-water playing shots and was even able to get mid-air jumping shots! Sarah edited a number of photos, which all turned out excellently, and accommodated my schedule so I could have edited photos in time to order a canvas (her website offers printing too!!) before my family comes to town for the holidays. Sarah's professionalism was top notch. Her artistic touch and ability to get a great photo, even with as challenging of a subject as a scampering, wet, mini-wiener dog was outstanding. I recommend Sarah and Flashpool Productions to anyone looking for a fresh take on the "old photo session"- her range and abilities would be great for family photos, swim teams, friends, and, absolutely, for dogs. My fiancé and I were lucky enough to have our engagement photos taken by Sarah. I had always…read moredreamed of having our photos taken underwater and Sarah made those dreams come true!! From the day I contacted her she was so helpful and sweet. She gave us tips and tricks to keep in mind so that day-of we would be as prepared as possible. I let her know I was not a strong swimmer and she reassured me that we could still make this work! The end results were AMAZING and truly speak to how talented Sarah is. She was able to take fantastic shots in seconds. Like I mentioned previously, I am not a strong swimmer and have a mild fear of being in deep water. Even though we were underwater for seconds, she moved around us with a swiftness that enabled her to capture magical shots. Her boyfriend was also fantastic and helped throughout the shoot. Afterwards, we received edited photos within a few days and my family and I had a very tough time choosing the photos we wanted. There were so many beautiful photos. We ended up choosing one of our photos for our save-the-dates and nearly all our guests couldn't believe we were even underwater in the picture. We had such great responses and I cannot thank Sarah enough. It was a unique and incredibly fun experience for us and I cannot wait to showcase more of our photos at our wedding.
