It's the worlds oldest wine coop and they have a big cellar and shop. It represents many small…read morefarmers in the area who share the work for making of the wine. A concept that has its roots here and then spread to many other wine regions in Europe. The cellar is beautiful and we did a tour and wine tasting with a really funny local who was super passionate about the place. He was also very funny and ironic and was very engaging. The wine tasting was more like a wine drinking as we started with two bottles of their Sekt and then went on to taste many more bottles. I was pretty tipsy by the end ;-) Absolutely loved some of their whites and their reds were amazingly good. We were served some food and had a private wine tasting room. Staff here were super friendly and very passionate about the place. I must admit I fell in love with the concept and the place. I will definitely buy from them online as they represent many local farmers that put a lot of hard work into growing and then sharing the wine making tasks. A beautiful winery to visit when in the area.
