He and his staff made me extremely uncomfortable. When I expressed my concern, the dentist became rude and mean in a very patronizing way because I spoke up about it. On a subsequent visit, I arrived a few minutes late wearing a boot because my leg was injured, and the escalator wasn't working that morning in the building his office is located. When I walked in, he gruffly told me to sit down and open my mouth, then jabbed me hard with a needle with no warning to numb my teeth, in what I believed was retaliation, after I politely requested his staff to stop violating my privacy. In prior visits, he informed me what he was going to do. After treating me disrespectfully, he then rudely lectured me on being a few minutes late, that one occasion, like I was a child and not a grown woman, never acknowledging the accessibility issues in his building that morning. His assistant took pictures of my teeth with a polaroid camera and X-rays at my first visit, but later claimed at my second visit, that they delayed that they didn't take pictures or couldn't locate them for my follow- up visit and took the same pictures again. I still wonder to this day, considering how violative they were of my privacy, what they did with the first set of pictures that I absolutely know they took. I should've never returned after that, considering how odd that my pictures disappeared. The first thing the lady did was take pictures of those teeth. I have always had bright white teeth; yet after multiple visits there, I noticed little nicks and stains in my teeth that were not there before I went. Be would sand teeth that he was not working on. I never felt comfortable with that, as I've never had a dentist do that before, which might explain the nicks. That was also the only time in my life where a hygienist cleaned my teeth and the dentist did not come in to check her work on my teeth after she finished. Is that even legal? The dentist also told me about a few of other patients that I had no idea were his patients, before he told me, violating their privacy too. He also repeatedly questioned me about my prior dentists, asking questions that I didn't believe was his business to ask. Ultimately, he became really mean and condescending at my last visit, in a scary way; his personality changed in such a bad way after I requested his office to respect my privacy, that I never went back. That was by far the worst most bizarre dental experience in my life.

She never pressures you into any treatment and listens to your concerns. I had several cosmetic issues I wanted corrected and a number of dentists throughout the years rolled their eyes at me like I was being so superficial. After getting my braces off over 10 years ago, I had number of yellow stains on my teeth that were very bothersome to me. Two previous dentists told me there was nothing I could do and I should have flossed better as a young teenager. The damage was done and I was stuck with these stains. Dr. Hayden was the first dentist who was willing to help, and not only that but she explained how simple it was to correct the problem (honestly, it took her 30 minutes). I've also had a problem with Novocaine wearing off on my upper row of teeth. Other dentists acted like I was faking the pain I was feeling. Dr. Hayden explained that it's not uncommon for some patients to metabolize the Novocaine faster than others. Whenever I'm in a procedure with her, she always checks on my comfort level and administers more Novocaine before the pain sets in. I liked her so much that I brought my four year old in to see her and he actually likes the dentist! Can you believe it? Also, when you refer a new patient, you get a set of professional grade teeth bleach for free! They are awesome! All of her bleaching procedures are done at cost and are shockingly inexpensive. Thanks to Dr. Hayden, I'm no longer afraid of the dentist and I'll be a patient with her until she retires!

I would give them zero stars if I could…read more I'm a bit shocked to be writing this, but I feel that I should share my personal experience with Clifton Dental Care. Unfortunately, it is not a good one. I totally can empathize that emergencies happen. While they will tell you (and probably respond to this post) that I'm a "monster", it's quite the misunderstanding. In my opinion, if there is a personal emergency it's best to go take care of what you need to do. Context: I first had a scheduled for optional dental work October 16th. I was given proper reminders on October 14th for an upcoming appointment. It was mere hours when I was called to be informed I must be moved as Dr Lowe must provide anesthetic, and she had a personal emergency. Fine. I understand and had no problem. Unfortunately, I had moved all of my meetings / took time off for this planned 2 hour visit and considered it an unfortunate event. My next appointment date was scheduled for Monday, November 4th, three weeks after the originally planned date. I again take another half day off on the 4th. I was given prompt reminders, and a bizarre "warning" text a week out that failure to cancel in a 24 hour period of time would end up in a $100 cancellation. Ironic, but I sent a text back to confirm, ensuring that I would be there for this visit. Less than a business day before on Friday, November 1st in the afternoon, I receive another call from Clifton Dental Care. The receptionist informs me that due to another emergency, I must be moved again up to the 19th of November. Shocked - and time-constrained - I did in fact have more questions asked than answers and expressed concern. Again, I couldn't believe I found myself in another reschedule, another afternoon already approved to take off, zero consultation of a new date. It was as if they assumed that I could simply rebook meetings, work travel, etc. for this optional dental work. I simply stated (and, fairly, firmly) it was unacceptable. Sure, my frustration was noted, and I wanted to get in this same week of the cancellation if possible, or not at all. They left a message an hour later and, miraculously, got me in November 8th. I took a final half day off. November 8th comes - they complete the work, all goes very well. It was cordial, perhaps a little tense... sure, but fine. I paid for the work, and was sent on my way with after care instructions. Today, November 13, I received a MAILED LETTER stating "based on your recent interactions with our office, we think it's the best next step to find a new dental home where you will feel most comfortable, and perhaps you feel that way too." So... I guess my cleaning scheduled for December 12th isn't happening. How unprofessional. If you have a problem or we had a tense moment, state it in person; you were in the same room with me. Or, give me a call to express your feelings. Let me know that you felt offended, and please the provide me with more context so I understand why I was pushed so many times. In fact, maybe I was in the wrong, and I could have apologized. But this passive aggressive approach so unprofessional, especially without any concern for a patient taking a day and a half of PTO and having to cancel, reschedule and adjust meetings myself. Again, I must be clear: I absolutely understand things happen, but this is not how you treat patients, period. A gaslight soliloquy on mailed letterhead does not solve the issue. I've been to many medical professionals and have never been treated this poorly. I'm afraid that I will **never** recommend Clifton Dental Care to anyone. What an unfortunate experience.

Decided to get another opinion, as I have only had one cavity in my life and had no pain or sensitivity. Saw another dentist that said no cavities at all. I feel conned by this place even to this day, several years later so decided to write a review when I saw the name come up in a search I was doing. To this day, many years later, I still have no cavities. I feel this place is just about grabbing as much money for you as possible and seems to want to do unnecessary dental work. Would not recommend them at all and if you do go and they tell you that you need a bunch of dental work, GET ANOTHER OPINION before you waste your hard earned money.
