My cheek looked like I stuffed a golf ball in it. I told them I couldn't sleep. I couldn't eat and I needed help right away.They said sorry. Found an emergency dentist who took x-rays and looked at the tooth and stated it had to come out immediately, and I had to be on antibiotics immediately. I wish that I could rave about this company, but I can't. I went there in 2022 and had three extractions, days later I had them all done, and fitted for dentures. They billed the last one first, so there was no money for dentures, and I was made to open a dental credit card for over 1600. The teeth didn't fit and I returned them and should have been given credit for 1398 up and 1398 low, but wasn't. Then insurance was billed for first visit. I was told on first visit my responsibility was 117, on second 88 dollars, I paid a 1600 dental credit card and money to the dental office and returned the teeth and they are still asking for money. I kept getting a bill last three months for 34 dollars I said I was not going to pay, I broke down and went to pay and when I called they said I didn't owe 33 dollars but 930 dollars, what is going on, now I can get anyone to call me back, and Aspen Dental main doesn't know anything??? read more

Outside of the near 9 month ordeal to finally get a lower denture, the latest issue is trying to get an appointment for an adjustment so I can actually wear it and eat with it in. 4 days straight calling, negotiating the answering system and leaving messages, none of my messages left were ever returned. Booked a appointment in advance and receptionist told me the manager called several times to confirm a appointment. Never received a call for confirmation. I received text messages to confirm. Receptionist told Me it would be a wait. Nor were they opened on time for time of service. Hours should reflect on door and on website . Several of us waited outside. Really don't deserve any rating. UPDATE: Working with Dawn in customer service. First time EVER... I Learned very much from finally getting records. Especially when you are told to sign for consent to treat and bill. Then find out the electronic version not the same as "printed version they give you". Now back to original post...... Although the people were kind, I had several issues. The "Estimate stated they contacted my insurance. Obtained what was to be paid. I paid remaining balance in full BEFORE any procedures were done. My dentures didn't fit! To this day they cant be worn on bottom. The top have broken. When I went back they said I didnt pay my bill!! Showed them payments. They agreed it was paid. HOWEVER, the insurance declined payment because they dont provide dentures more than Once every 10 yrs. Called insurance. They have record of "request" and noted who they gave insurance information and when. I was sent to collections during "review" time. Daily calls. They called with "sorry" for trouble. Zero balance but they will not send letter. "Their word is good it is off books". Now collections since it was bought out. Going to court! Stay tuned.... read more

For full disclosure, Aspen Dental is absolutely horrible.Started at Tri County location and it was the most frustrating experience ever. They over charge, they're more of a training facility and nobody knows what the hell they're doing.9 teeth extracted at Tri County. Dentist Chopra was scheduled to do my extraction. When I got back to get extraction all I saw were African American hands and heard a male voice. Being groggy from the pill sedation that they prescribed for me to take before procedure I just assumed he was just giving me the 5 shots to knumb me. But after sitting there in chair for 27minutes Bluetooth speaker comes on & this dude never introduced himself I never saw his face only his hands. He proceeded to work on my mouth like he was working on a old Plymouth, never asked if I was ok. The asst. Never put suction in my mouth, I had to point to her to use it. He talked to her. Never me, he did his pulling yanking( Dr.Scott) then he just left, no goodbye no explanation of what he did, no tap on shoulder, he just left, they didn't offer to wipe my mouth, chin,face nothing, they handed me gauze as I was bleeding. After that horrible experience next day after realizing *what the hell** I called and asked who pulled my 9 teeth, where's Dr Chopra ,they said ooh she had a emergency. Well you should have let me know I would have waited on her.so I explained that I'd like tri County Aspen to send my paperwork to Colerain I heard they weren't as tacky and unprofessional there. **WRONG** same , phones never get answered staff is a tad more pleasant but still same bull. They don't explain anything all they do is try to overcharge & get more money. 5grand from insurance and I paid out of pocket $1,200 . I had extraction in December and to this day or Monday April 11th I had to ask for them to put a mirror in my mouth and look to see if I was healing ok because I have a gash in my upper back area where Dr Scott pulled at, they went and found so guy who's labcoat was off-white. He did introduce himself and looked inside my mouth and said that I was inflamed, the Tech who cut her finger and was bleeding said ooh really. Give me a minute or 2 because I cut my finger filing down her bottom partial (*"WHAT"*) then he left, she returns with this partial that I waited 2months for & it's some flimsy stuff you order off Amazon and they charged $1,000. for so I asked her is this my permanent partial !! Yep , it hurt Soo bad she said well before you put it in you have to put in boiling water. WTF!! This is the same stuff I ordered from Amazon some see through thin flimsy crap. I won't even go into details about the way they fit you for bottom partial, it's a thing they rub in bottom gum area to take a 3D scan. That took 3different people to do because nobody could get it right. Lord please help anybody who plans on going to either location. I am waiting on my permanent upper denture and I asked can you please get me in my permanent dentures and they said not, I have to wait until June or July, I just want to be done with Aspen Dental, they suck and I'm going to another dentist, never go to a Chain Dental facility. I was Leary of Chain Dental stores. I went to Colerain and was advised at almost 70 yo I should get an implant or crown. I decided I wanted a Bridge. My "Dr" seems to be in one day a week. She did not call me the next week when she was in. I was to wait until NEXT WEEK when she was in. I called Western Hills & the Staff was Fantasti. Then I called the Hamilton location and they also were very caring & helpful. The Colerain store I was lucky if they even answered the phone. They like mainly ONLINE communication. I was there for 2 hours for an exam. I was then informed after being called back for my appointment that a cleaning would be a separate appointment. When speaking with the person scheduling my appointment we talked about a cleaning and I was never told it would be separate. I felt very mislead. The tech who took my X-rays destroyed the inside of my mouth from the bite plate that was used. I kept telling her how extremely painful it was and it shouldn't be jamming into my gums. I've had plenty of bite X-rays and this has NEVER happened. She sprayed numbing spray in my mouth??? So obviously this is common for them since the spray was in the room right next to the equipment. When the dentist & hygienist arrived they were nice but it was just an odd experience all around. It just wasn't a level of professionalism I had previously experienced at a dentist office. They were 'promoting' their in house water picks to me. Never had that happen before. Instead of just suggesting it and telling me which they offer they both brought them to me. After the appointment we were immediately sent to their financial person??? Again why is this the 'normal' end to an appointment. I've never been sent to a financial person after a dentist visit. My husband and I were then quoted 10,000 for cleanings and a couple fillings??? Plus I had inquired about Motto. Where the hell did that number come from. I called multiple dentists afterwards and no one's quite even came to half of this ridiculous amount. Also, they had us fill out a form for a line of credit which they made us feel obligated to do so. I don't know what kind of scam this company is running but it's bullshit. We came in for my daughter's appointment, we arrived 15 min early to fill out paperwork and over an hour after the scheduled appointment we haven't been seen yet. That, in and of itself is aggravating, but the reason for the one star is that at least ten people have come in after us and have been seen before us. I talked to the person checking people in and she said "...it has to do with the column we are in...". I said I'll don't care what column we are in. People came in after us got admitted before us...etc. She apologized and went on about being short staffed... I went there over a year ago, they kept billing me for Flouride treatment that I did NOT get (because I knew it was not covered by insurance.) Every bill I got, I called and they said they would take it off and take care of it, around 3 times. I stopped getting bills, so I figured they finally took it off. If they can't sell you the high dollar full exam and full series of x-rays, they have no intention of helping you. They expect you to have two appointments for an extraction. I arrived at 8:00 a.m. on 10/13/22 for "periodontal maintenance" and crown prep (replacing an old crown on my lower left quadrant that was causing me problems). Cleaning went well, Natalie was awesome. Then it took quite a turn. The lady doing the prep with the mold, etc., must've been her first day. I asked how long it might take and she said "well, I don't know" as if I offended her. She then added the orange setting stuff to the mold and waay overfilled it. When she forced it in my mouth, it went everywhere . . . my neck, my face, down my throat. I was gagging, but after she cleaned my neck she didn't come back to check on me and I was gagging so bad, thought I would throw up. Then she came in, removed the mold and put a numbing gel on a swab and started swabbing my upper quadrant. With the swab still in my mouth, I said, "why are you numbing the upper quadrant? The problem tooth is on my lower quadrant". She left the swab in and said she would check with the dentist. Dr. Anderson came in and it went from bad to worse real quick. She told me they are replacing the upper crown and I said "No, there's no problem with that crown, it's the bottom crown that has fractures and food is getting caught in it. She told me there was nothing wrong with that crown! and that they would replace the upper crown and could put a filling over the crown I was talking about. Seriously??? Yes, she was serious. I, apparently, don't know which tooth is a problem, but she does. The crown is splintered at the bottom and food gets caught under it so I can't floss there because it just pushes foot further up under the crown and is uncomfortable. I have to dig food out with a toothpick. But, she told me that all I have to do is floss it! Seriously? Yes, seriously. She obviously either didn't listen to me or just told me I'm stupid. I told her to wrap it up and get me out of there so I can go to a real dentist. On my way out, everyone who worked that came out to watch me. I guess word spread really fast. So.... they left their patient to see what was going on? Seriously? Yes, seriously! End of story. I will go to a dentist who will take care of my needs and it won't be Aspen Dental! read more

Update from previous review. I wouldn't give these crooks even one star if I could. First of all they make their appointments thru a call center. You are not talking to the people at the location you are going to. All they really care about is coming up with a dental plan for your future work. I've been there twice now in pain and I made the appt requesting an extraction. It was a hassle the first time and a down right fight the second time. The 2nd time I was in constant pain and called to have my #12 tooth extracted. That's how I requested my service, got there and AGAIN all they wanted was to talk about my future dental plan. I'm in pain!! & they had 'no time' to take out my tooth. I should have walked out but I fought to have my tooth pulled and they finally did it. Fast forward 6 wks and I'm at a real dentist getting a dental plan and find out they only took 1/4 of my tooth out. FRAUD! I've reported them to my insurance. Now I'll have to pay out of pocket to have the rest of the tooth pulled. read more

While I was waiting in the lobby, I could clearly hear employees talking about how they get yelled at often and there are folks who are trying to quit. During X-rays, the device used to capture X-rays was so uncomfortable it made me gag and made the bottom of my mouth bleed. I noticed dirty, dusty surfaces in more than one room. When the dentist was looking at my mouth, she was rattling off numbers to an assistant and did not explain them to me. I heard them talking about how they had a lot of people for her to check on that day. One spot on my gums bled slightly and no one offered to give me something to rinse with. No one explained to me how my visit was going to go and suddenly I was being directed to the office manager without a cleaning. Apparently cleanings don't happen on the first visit but this was not explained to me when I made my appointment or during the course of my visit. The staff was very nice but clearly overworked and working for a company that's more concerned with packing the schedule full to make money than actually caring for workers or patients. read more

I went into this office the first week in November for a consultation for extractions and dentures. After sitting with the office manager and going over my treatment plan, I decided to go with the dentures and put down 60% of the total amount on my credit card. On November 17th I went into the office for my impressions. My extractions and immediate Dentures were scheduled for November 21st at 1 p.m.. on November 20th at approximately 5 in the afternoon I went into Aspen Dental to get a prescription and to pay the balance of my treatment plan. At that time I was told that my medical records had not been received yet. I was asked to call my doctor and see if they could not expedite getting the medical records to Aspen Dental. At 7:30 a.m. on the morning of my procedure I received a phone call from Aspen Dental saying that my A1c was too high and they would not be able to do my procedure. Yes that's right 5 hours before my procedure and after weeks of preparation for this day I was told I would not be able to get my dentures. I immediately requested a full refund since they offer 100% money back guarantee. I was told that the refund would be issued back to my credit card in approximately 7 days. Well here it is two weeks later and Aspen Dental has put me in a real predicament. I had the procedure scheduled at another dentist office for today. When they ran my credit card it showed that Aspen Dental has not refunded the money that I have paid. My card was denied and once again I was turned away from a procedure. If there were a problem getting my medical records from my doctor, Aspen Dental had numerous opportunities to make me aware of that situation that I could have called the doctor ahead of time. They did not make me aware that there was a problem until 5 the day before my procedure. I think the whole thing was handled badly. My question is if I would have gone in with a toothache and needed a few teeth pulled they certainly would have done that without checking medical records. And now I can't get anything done because instead of 7 days for a refund I am still waiting after 2 weeks. Spent more than $6000.00 in dental work including a new upper denture to replace a denture that was 10 years old. Within 2 years denture cracked, they repaired them at a cost to us. 2 years later the denture broke in half while eating a soft roll. Called and said only had 1 year warranty. The most unorganized office I've ever visited and I wasn't even there for my own appointment. The staff was very unprofessional and not very personable. My mother had went in for her follow up appointment to have a partial plate put in. Apparently the lab tech who makes the plates and dentures had a question for the dentist as to how the plate would fit ect. The initial appointment was a week prior to take the impressions and what not and this appointment they were supposed to be ready... A week later. The lab tech never discussed her questions with the dentist so we basically drove out to this location for no reason at all... The plate was never made. In the case some kind of phone call should have been made about the lack of communication and the appointment should have been rescheduled by the office. So now she has to wait another 4 days because of their mistake and they seemed to care less that she has to keep taking off of work to come I to their office. So disappointing! read more
