Their estimate was somewhere in the mid-high range and we hired them based on reputation as well. They finished the initial job well enough. However, the unit kept cycling off and on very quickly; they had to come out 2 more times before deciding that, yes, they should have enlarged the air intake to accommodate the units they put in. They fixed this and did a fine job on it. Fast forward to this spring and I am cutting the lawn. I bump the plastic slab they set the air conditioning unit on, and the AC unit goes flying across the slab, hanging on only by the refrigerant line; the unit is not secured to the base. I call their office and on the return call next day, they insist that the AC unit does not need to be secured to the base. Our unit right next to this one IS secured to the base. I am not pleased with them.

The crew showed extreme negligence through failure to properly seal basement door resulting in large amounts of black dust infiltrating our duct work, covering our belongings in storage and putting respiratory sensitive child at risk. Additionally, they failed to properly cover our stairs resulting in the carpet being ruined. Finally, we were contracted through our GC for 3 inches of spray and we have significantly less. Barry has been unwilling, at this point, to adjust the cost of service/materials and pay for damages.

It was a nasty place of the house, and gave us a lot of anxiety about potential expensive repairs in the future and the health hazards of dwelling above a disgusting, moldy crawl space. After carefully researching things online, we got in touch with Phil at Crawl Space Ninjas. Phil was prompt in communicating with me by phone and by text. We scheduled an initial inspection/evaluation of our Crawl Space. Phil was very thorough and worked with us to develop a plan to remove mold, treat the wood surfaces, install a water/humidity management system and encapsulate our crawl space. He did not try to sell us a package that was more expensive than was needed to address our issues and the price was very fair. When Phil's team began work, I was immediately impressed with their professionalism, hard work ethic, and attention to detail. The soda-blasting was incredible, and completely removed the mold from our floor joists. Thomas, Derrick, and the rest of the ninjas worked tirelessly to trench and level our Crawl Space and the water management system started doing its work right away. After encapsulation, our Crawl Space looks literally just like the photos in the Crawl Space Ninjas ad, including a very nice looking access door - a great improvement from the muddy and rusted grating we had before.
