I had already been a customer for a year, paid every bill on time, paid a deposit at the very beginning of my account with them although my credit was GOOD. Not fair, not poor, GOOD, and still got a nonsense explanation that made it clear they either don't value repeat customers or don't know how to apply their own policies consistently. I walked away and found another company (Blackerby) with far better service, better rates, a $125 deposit, and no credit check. The difference was night and day. This company's deposit policy feels arbitrary, their pricing is excessive, and their treatment of customers is flat-out poor. I would not recommend them to anyone. By the way I paid for an entire year of rental upfront with the other company and still paid less than the $600 deposit fee that Strait Music tried to play in my face with.

He seemed pretty busy this week and told me it would be about a week's wait for my work to be done. Well, Andrew called me in HALF the time he said it would take to finish the job. He let me play it in his home to make sure everything worked okay. Well, holy cow, this guitar sounds and plays better than the Gibson Les Paul classic I hawked a year ago! Currently I'm renting a musical instrument from here. One day I've received a notification about an…read moreorder on its way. I didn't order anything, however, it showed up on my doorstep and I got billed for it. I had to drive to the store to return the items I didn't order and figure out what's going on. Coming to the store in person, I wasn't helped then and there - while being on the call with the manager trying to figure out what happened with my "ghost order", the salesperson abruptly finished it just to answer another (rather lengthy) call. With the end not in sight, I did ask politely to finish helping me first and then returning to the other task, my complaint was dismissed. Like "yeah sure" and just keeps doing what she was doing. I understand that there are not enough salespeople, however, it's not an excuse for being rude. It took me multiple calls to the Support Center to figure out there's been a glitch in the system and now there are multiple issues like mine, with people being charged for what they didn't order and now we have to pack it all, send it to UPS and then get the refund. Extra driving, explaining, packing, dealing with a mistake you've never made, all is Courtesy of Music and Arts. And no guarantee it won't happen again, since I have a customer account with them. I'd look elsewhere for better (and safer service)

I received a response from the store manager; Mr. Don Denham (of the band American Revival)! Don and I exchanged a few communications regrading the type of lessons that I required for my son. When my son and I came to the lesson today, we were greeted by Don and advised on guitars and the type of lessons that are provided at the establishment. My son not only got a music lesson with his new guitar instructor Ethan, but I also bought my son a new guitar. I appreciate the professionalism, knowledge of music theory, safety precautions taken by the staff during the pandemic AND that I got to meet the guy (Don) in the band all in one visit. However, I have been communicating with this business via text for about a month now to get a doublebass ready for Thing One. In the communications, we have discussed the required height, type of bow, and type of use this instrument would get to determine which base would be the right fit. When we arrived to pick up the bass, we were greeted warmly and given a quick lesson on the proper care of the instrument. This process took no longer than 30 minutes from arrival to signing the paperwork. I am looking forward to hearing the tones of this beautiful instrument in my home.
