Sunny was born in March 2023 with Trisomy 21 and congenital heart disease. She underwent open heart surgery at 13 days old and spent 72 days in the hospital. With that being said, once Sunny was home she was behind on a lot of her development. Melissa has worked with Sunny in our home for 6 months now and it is truly amazing how much our daughter has learned and how far she has come developmentally. Melissa is extremely patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. She comes into each session with so much positivity and encouragement! She loves to get down on the floor with Sunny and knows exactly when our daughter needs a little break. We are so thankful to have found Melissa, she is truly outstanding!

From our very first session, Melissa demonstrated a deep understanding of our son's needs and strengths, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Our son has made significant progress in gross motor skills and sensory processing thanks to Melissa's tailored approach and engaging strategies. She connected with our son on a personal level, and made each session enjoyable and fun. Our son was always SO excited for his visit with Melissa. Importantly, my husband and I learned from Melissa as well. She gave us tools to use with our son to better help him and she gave us a better understanding of our son and his abilities and challenges. We, in turn, became stronger as parents and were able to pass on relevant and helpful information to his other caregivers and our families. This collaboration has made a real difference in our daily lives. Melissa was also super communicative, easy to reach, and very responsive - which is always appreciated when you're juggling jobs and child care! We highly recommend Melissa to any parent seeking dedicated and skilled OT for their child. We are truly grateful for the positive impact she had on our family!

Hello! We would like to take a moment and say thank you to…read moreour very special therapist Kaitlyn. She started with us in January 2017 . She is amazing. She has taught Annabelle how to roll over, crawl, stand, walk, balance, draw and so so so many other things. We are grateful she has been with us throughout the last 2 years and very much apart of Annabelle development. She has been a great person and friend. She is always professional and timely. She Stayed with us while Annabelle underwent all her surgeries and kept time in her Schedule to continue therapy when Annabelle recovered. She genuinely cares about the well being of her clients and she isn't just a teacher / therapist she has become a part of our support system for Annabelle. This lady never gives up on her clients!! We are so happy that we still get to see Kaitlyn once a week and she is still teaching Annabelle new things. She is really good at her job with Occupational Therapy she has helped us so much! Early intervention works because of teachers and therapist like her. Keep up the amazing work Kaitlyn! We love and appreciate you! Happy Almost Valentines Day!! Bad experience from beginning to end. Therapists don't meet qualifications as they are assistants…read moreand not OT. Admin staff needs to be retrained. Company motto "client first, therapist second, company third" doesn't align with their values. My son was referred by our private insurance in November, I called to schedule yet was given the run around call after call and nothing was scheduled until February. Shortly after, my daughter was approved by Westside Regional Center for OT, so before choosing this clinic I asked Hannah if they worked with them and her answer was yes. We had a few sessions with both of my kids seeing Ms. Gwen back to back. A week ago we started my daughter's session which was abruptly interrupted by Hannah saying we need to stop due to a contract issue with the provider. I was not given an explanation further, I was also not given options to finish her session even if that meant paying out of pocket. I followed up same day with Hannah asking what the issue was but was again not given an answer. Monday came so I followed with her again yet was told "team is actively working on it" and was offered to cancel my son's appointment. I took my son to his appointment and followed up that afternoon with Hannah who said "we don't have a time frame" . I called to speak to a supervisor was told there was no direct line but they would email Ms.Alya. I finally got a call today from Mariah calling about my son yet the issue is about my daughter. She stated since the therapist is an assistant OT the program won't pay for services so they need redirect my daughter elsewhere. I explained my concerns and asked why it took them a week of me following up to get an answer they clearly had since day one. I expressed I will need to move my son eventually and was offered to remove him from the schedule. This is customer service at its worst. Not only did they not follow up with the regional center but she told me I should speak to upper management on their end for not letting me know OT assistants couldn't provide service. That should be a situation for the companies to discuss not the clients. This ultimately affects children and parents who advocate for their kids. It was made clear that we didn't matter as clients and just another number on the book.

They've made such a positive impact on both of my sons and our whole family. Miss Katie (our OT and the clinic manager) is not only caring and patient but also extremely knowledgeable and professional. One of my sons has high sensitivity to smells and used to vomit a lot. After working with Miss Katie for just half a year, his vomiting has improved significantly--the frequency is much lower because he's learned strategies to avoid situations that trigger him. Katie always goes above and beyond to support each of my boys' unique needs, whether it's fine motor skills or sensory exploration. She communicates clearly, provides us with helpful home strategies, and even brings snacks sometimes to make the boys feel comfortable. My kids have grown so much under her care, and they absolutely adore her. Miss Tawny (clinic supervisor) is also the best. She keeps everything running smoothly--always on top of paperwork, scheduling, and last-minute changes. She goes out of her way to accommodate us, which is such a relief since I'm juggling OT and speech for two kids. She makes the logistics stress-free so I can focus on the boys' progress. Together, Miss Katie and Miss Tawny make the clinic feel like family. My boys are always excited to go, which makes therapy not only effective but also fun. We feel incredibly lucky to have them for our OT journey!

Her name was Adhi and she didn't know how to answer any of my questions. I spent a lot of time on the phone with her and she intentionally hung up on me since she was unsure as to how to respond to any of my concerns and I had asked to speak to her supervisor. I called back and she lied about having spoken to me (just a minute prior) and picked up the phone the same way she initially did saying "I'm calling from LAIPT how can I help you?" When I was the one calling her! I also contacted her on the day that I had parted with my child and needed some peace of mind knowing that she's doing ok and spent at least 5 minutes trying to explain the reason for my call only to find out that she worked in the "back office" and that there was no patient there by my child's first and last name!!! As a parent, I needed someone who was actually AT the facility and couldn't wait another GD knows how long for a coordinator to finish a session and call or text me back. It was an urgent matter and wasn't handled properly or professionally. I was more stressed, anxious and frustrated upon speaking with Adhi. She had ZERO clue of my child's whereabouts and emotional state and was of NO help. She barely spoke proper English and I had to spell out things in order for her to comprehend what I was saying! Thank GD for Katie and all of her help. Katie took the situation and handled it in a timely manner. She was very apologetic for Adhi's behavior and took matters into her own hands by giving me the peace of mind that was needed as a parent leaving my child there alone for the first time. Adhi seemed lost and should not be working anywhere that handles matters with children involved! I hope the company finds someone IN OFFICE who is knowledgeable and knows the patients and parents who will better manage the front desk.
