My healing there was jumpstarted by having Katie as my case manager, and by the groups that she facilitated that brought up very important discussions that other facilitators did not. I got to talk with my peers about things that I thought i carried alone for my whole life. Katie encouraged me to share my story when i had been so hesitant before, and the response i got from others in the program was profound and very helpful. My time in Katie's office and in her facilitated sessions were a tremendous help to me and i will miss going back so badly. My therapist Leah was absolutely wonderful - she also encouraged me to share my story and was wonderfully supportive through my time at OCR. I also very much enjoyed the sessions that she facilitated. She helped me with some impossibly difficult events currently happening in my life and showed deep care and concern and willingness to help. Anthony was also very kind and caring, when he had no obligation to be. One thing left me wanting though. We were regularly asked for feedback from OCR as to what we'd like to see changed and i never saw OCR take any of our responses to heart. The Women's Group session hosted by Jenna was one of my favorite parts of the week (she is amazing). I regularly asked to have women's group more than once a week. So did many of the women in session with me. Never happened. Multiple patients and i also asked for time to break off into smaller discussion groups, as the "lecture" classes can get tedious. We benefited so much more from more intimidate discussion. I voiced this at least twice when asked directly what i'd like to see changed, and the others in the session agreed that they'd like to see those changes, and nothing ever came of it.

We also recognized that our clients struggled to find other programs that provided this focus with the level of excellence that we wanted to offer. Struggling kids and teens don’t struggle alone—their parents and family do as well. Working with parents is a critical piece of the treatment puzzle, and we work with them as an integral part of their child’s program. We’ve been through this journey countless times with struggling families. We started ROWI to be part of the solution.

From the very start, Flora provided excellent assessments of what my needs were and tailored her approach to my specific requirements. The intake process was great, as she paid close attention not only to my physical condition, but most of all mental, and spiritual well-being. During the sessions, she paid close attention to my form during exercises and also took the time to explain the importance and difference of each movement in yoga and its function. Then suggested appropriate modifications. She also provided a wonderful introduction to the philosophy of yoga, which was very insightful. She always followed up with detailed notes and suggestions to help me improve my practice even further. Flora even suggested tools to help me with my physical condition (carpal tunnel) which was incredibly thoughtful. What I appreciated most about Flora was her great knowledge and kindness. She has a wealth of resources and was always available to answer my questions or address any concerns. She created a custom meditation practice for me to use as part of the bedtime ritual, which has been incredibly helpful. Flora is an excellent and kind guide practitioner.
