I was so relieved when they were able to fit me in for a same-day morning appointment on a weekday. My massage therapist was Jessica and she is amazing! She provided so much relief. I was getting headaches from all the tension in my neck and shoulder area, but after seeing her I did not get a headache the entire day (and hopefully not for awhile). She skillfully worked on all my crunchy knots. I felt like a new person after just one hour. Jessica is also incredibly friendly and welcoming. She really listened to what I needed during this session and gave me helpful advice on stretches I can do on my own. The studio itself is simple and has three massage therapy rooms. If you want a fancy shmancy, frou frou place, this may not be what you're looking for. But if you're looking for serious massage therapy, I highly recommend coming here!

This was my first time coming to Dynamic Touch. I've actually been wanting to come here for a while…read morebecause the website and reviews looked amazing. I was welcomed by another therapist and she offered me water and gave me paperwork to fill out. Unfortunately I felt disappointed during my massage and after I left. I've had many massages and prenatal massages and didn't leave feeling wowed like how I normally do. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and booked a 90 min prenatal massage. My therapist showed up just 3 mins before my scheduled appointment and she brought me into room #1 before being completely set up. The table was tiny (smaller than a normal sized massage table) and uncomfortable. There was an office door open within the room and I thought that was so weird it was left open. It felt awkward getting undressed. I'm just used to the lights being dimmed, music on prior to getting settled into the room. The massage was ok. I just felt like I was getting the same up and down movement along my spine for the majority of the service. I found myself saying "my shoulders hurt too." Hardly any time was spent on my legs, hips or arms. I wrote in my paperwork that I wanted to focus on my back and hips and verbally said my I.T bands hurt too. I did dooze off but at this point in my pregnancy anyone rubbing me down for 90 mins, anyone would. After getting off the table I felt like my hips still hurt due to the lack of padding on the table. Needless to say, I won't be rebooking. I don't feel my $135 was worth it. I know they can't help with the sound of airplanes taking off every 10 mins, but the Costa Mesa location in my opinion isn't ideal for relaxation.

I made sure to arrive early... especially when there was this excerpt on the class that says, "Arriving late, even unintentionally can take away from others - their peace, focus, and time". The parking lot was hard to find. I actually had to circle it a few times before finding it, and parking in their back lot. I entered from the back door and made my way through the front to check in with the owner. I checked in early. I signed in. I SIGNED THE WAIVER. The owner was going to give me a studio tour but she kept getting busy with other things. That's fine, not an issue. Their studio space is small. For aerial, there are 9 silks, so 1 for the instructor and 8 for the students. The front left is a bit close to some equipment so the teacher took that spot when it got busy. The spacing is a bit tight, and can cause students to bump into each other if they are not mindful. Also the studio is off a busy street and I can hear the cars driving by, so it could be more relaxing. Come early! Especially with aerial. It is important to adjust the silks where the bottom is at your pelvic height. A lot of the students did not come in until the start of class time, and the instructor still had to lower the silks and then adjust it to their height. OUR CLASS STARTED 10 MINUTES LATE. I don't blame the instructor because they can't turn away their students... but that is 10 minutes wasted from my time even though I was early and prepared. The aerial class itself was a great work out. A bit on the basic end of aerial yoga. I know the instructor mentioned she designs it based on the level of the class and we had some folks who were first timers so the instructor went easy on us. The owner offered to take pictures for us, but she went away. The instructor was nice to take photos too, but her yoga skills are definitely better than her photography skills. In one of the photos where my face and body shaped looked the best, she had her whole thigh in it. Sigh. We were 3 minutes from class ending time and we didn't even get into the silks for a cocoon savasana. At that point I just left cause it didn't seem like we would be doing the savasana or anything. What annoyed me the most ... is receiving a messaging telling me I didn't sign a waiver and that I need to sign one next time. WOW !! I came early... signed the waiver... had my time wasted... and now I get this email telling me I didn't sign the waiver. Before receiving that message I was in the air about coming back. But after seeing that message I was so annoyed. I am not coming back... It would have been more tactful to wait for me to come back and ask me at that time to sign if they misplaced the last one. I work out to relax but this whole experience was so stressful. I shouldn't have my time wasted if THEY are disorganized.

She has truly been the guiding light through our journey into parenthood. We had the amazing, magical, beautiful, empowering home birth that we visualized during our birth education sessions with Krista. Thank you Krista for the amazing selfless work you do for mamas, babies, and families!!!!

I love Maureen and the team at In One Breath Center! I'm so thankful that I was referred to…read moreMaureen: I was halfway through my first pregnancy and my yoga instructor encouraged me to become educated about labor, birth, and postpartum life. I am SO glad I received that encouragement and Maureen's name from her. I had interviewed a couple doulas who I found on Yelp, but my 3rd call was Maureen and I knew by the end of our first phone conversation that she was the one who would be my teammate and would be there to witness the birth of my first baby! We opted to do a hospital birth (although I loved the idea of a midwifery center or a home birth, my husband's desire was to have our son born in a hospital setting) and I knew that I wanted the wisdom and support of a birth doula to assist my husband and I in making the best decisions possible during the labor & delivery process. My goal was to have a natural birth and I knew that might be challenging in the hospital setting. As a side-note, I had previously thought birth doulas were mainly for people who had extra money laying around - but now I don't know why I had that idea because it's not true in the least bit! We made a point to save where we could so that we could spend some on a doula. Before "The Day" arrived, we met with Maureen in person. She asked great questions about our wishes, fears, uncertainties and she helped us to write a very simple birth plan (or 'birth preferences'- since most of the time things DON'T go exactly as you plan for with birth!). She was in contact with us often in the weeks leading up the my due date, especially because at 34 weeks I needed to go to the hospital Triage due to intense/frequent Braxton Hicks and we also found out that baby was breech and would need to turn - and soon! She and Krista gave me excellent advice that I wouldn't have otherwise received - little suggestions and tricks for taking care of myself at home leading up to my due date. We wanted to keep the baby in the womb until he was closer to (or at) 40 weeks and we were hopeful he would flip around, too! So, Maureen advised me to rest, calm my mind, listen to hypnobirthing mp3s, etc. We kept in touch regularly for the 3-4 weeks before my water broke at 37 weeks + 1 day - baby boy waited until he was considered full-term and then wouldn't wait a day longer! He was placed in my arms 37 hours later! For the actual labor & delivery she met us at Hoag while we were still trying to get labor going (unsuccessfully) and then she supported us as the nurses suggested Pitocin to get things going. PItocin wasn't in our "Plan", but with Maureen's support, my husband and I asked that we start the process very slow & steady... LONG story short, I was able to deliver the baby vaginally without any drugs or intervention with exception of the Pitocin. Thank God we had Maureen - she helped with massaging, bathroom trips, various labor positions, pep talks, and she really supported my husband. I think that's the biggest takeaway- my husband had the confidence to tell the hospital staff our desires (when needed) because Maureen was his teammate when I was out of my usual mind during the labor process. Maureen is sincere, hard-working, loving, and just an all-around JOY to be around. God knew what he was doing when he set us up together. It's been nearly 6 months since my son was born (another pregnancy isn't in our imminent future) and when the time is right I know I will be dialing Maureen as soon as we make plans to have Baby #2. I encourage anyone who read this long-winded review to connect with Maureen before making your final decision if a birth doula is right for you! As my husband has told several other of our expecting couple-friends: "Talk to Maureen (or any doula you're considering), it's the best money we chose to spend during this season!"

My doula,…read moreKaren, was my rock throughout my labor and was 100,000 percent amazing--I'll definitely be working with her for my second! A little backstory: I was overwhelmed and so nervous about finding "the one" person to be a part of the most important event of my life. After doing my research and reading through all these bios, I honestly was left feeling overwhelmed, especially knowing how indecisive I can be. I knew I just had to trust my intuition and my gut on this one! After looking at Karen's bio on their website, I had such a good feeling. Staci (the owner), who was super friendly and professional, helped me get connected with Karen, and I booked an interview right away! Karen was so sweet and asked me about my pregnancy experience so far. We discussed how I wanted my birth to go and any concerns I had. There wasn't any pressure to hire her, and it just felt like she was already invested in me, like I was already family. I even had her video chat with my husband to make sure we both felt comfortable and vibed well together--and we sure did! Overall, Karen ended up being the perfect balance of knowledge, experience, and professionalism. It was the most perfect amount of care I could have asked for. She was also such an advocate for my birth plan to work out. Before, during, and after my labor and birth, she was always naturally in tune with what I needed. She was never overbearing, worked so well with my husband, and gave him space to be a part of my support team as well. I am so grateful to have come across Labor of Love

My experience with Labor of Love was almost two years ago now but continues to upset me when thinking back on my experience. We hired Lauren as our doula, who made it clear she expected us to go far past my due date as a first time mom. While it's possible for that to happen, it didn't in my case. At 39 weeks and at 5am while in active labor and getting ready to head to the hospital, she let us know she had Covid. Her backup was Karen, who I wish we hired to begin with as she is far more caring and professional. Though unfortunately our experience still fell short and we ultimately delivered without Karen present. We were left feeling like we invested a lot of emotion and money into this process with ultimately no help. Staci has been incredibly rude to us since then and even revoked our access to watch her training videos, sending me a link to pay her once again when wanting to rewatch for our now second baby on the way. Karen herself even recommended we ask for a partial refund due to our experience, but Staci lacks the professionalism and courtesy to her clients. Truly mindblowing that she revoked access to the training videos after we had already paid for them. I would stay far away and recommend a more experienced and caring doula group.

I have been able to open many other families eyes to alternative methods to birthing and being with your baby (both in vitro and postpartum. I loved the shared library - I even was able to reach out several years later for a book recommendation and received a response almost immediately with the name of the book I was looking for (so that I could buy it for a new mother in my family). My water birth was truly magical and I got to have all my wishes. Dark room, delayed cord cutting, saving placenta, low lighting, special music, a true hypnobirthing experience, private time with my new family, and I got to go home and sleep in my bed that same night! How special! The group classes were powerful, offered the alternative perspectives I was looking for and deeply craving out of my unique birthing experience and plan. I am so proud of the birth I got to have and I owe SO much to the preparation South Coast Midwifery supported. I could go on and on! I'm thinking of the check-ups in the bedroom style "exam room's", the opportunities to choose your own interventions (even how few ultrasounds you'd like), the supports for "just-in-case" scenarios, the introduction (for me for the first time!) to Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy, the birthing classes, the breastfeeding classes, the location to yummy heathy snacks and juices before or after my visits - amazing! I wished I could have more than one experience there; thank you, thank you, thank you.

As a first-time mom who is now almost three months postpartum, I can confidently say that choosing this birth center was one of the best decisions my husband and I made for our first pregnancy. From the beginning of my pregnancy through postpartum care, Lori,Dorian, Kennedy provided exceptional support, guidance, and compassion. Their holistic approach made me feel truly cared for as a whole person, not just a patient. Every appointment was thorough, unhurried, and focused on both my physical and emotional well-being. They took the time to educate me, answer every question, and help me feel empowered throughout my pregnancy and birth experience. As a first-time mom, that reassurance meant everything. They respected my wishes, trusted my instincts, and created a safe and peaceful environment where I felt heard and supported. Looking back now, nearly three months after giving birth, I am so grateful for the personalized care I received. The postpartum support was just as valuable as the prenatal care, helping me navigate the transition into motherhood with confidence and encouragement. If you're considering a birth center and are looking for compassionate midwives, holistic care, and a team that genuinely invests in your family's well-being, I wholeheartedly recommend this place. My birth experience exceeded my expectations, and I will always cherish the care and support I received during such a life-changing season. Until the next baby ! Also, their location and place is so beautiful ... inside and outside The inside of the birth center is so clean, elegant, fresh and welcoming! Their communication was spot on, Sarah was always so welcoming and I didn't get to see Bri as much but every time I did she was always kind and she even offered advice to my husband and I about car seats haha when we were going cucu bananas trying to figure out. Again thank you

We asked a friend of ours who had a similar issue with her back and her recommendation was to find a chiropractor who specialized in pregnancies. Unfortunately, her chiropractor was way too far for us. I took a look on Yelp and found Dr. Anne with a flawless track record. 5/5 stars and many reviews to back it up. I read through a good amount of them and knew I wanted my wife to come here. I called and the receptionist was very friendly and answered some questions that I had upfront. After a day or two of considering whether or not we wanted to go down this path, we decided that it was worth the investment to see Dr. Anne. Granted, seeing her will probably not be covered under your insurance and it is not cheap, but so worth it.
