I desperately needed a Brazilian wax before returning to Spain. I searched Yelp, but just didn't…read morefeel great about the places I found. I finally searched waxing in Galway in Google and I found this great solution. Carolina runs this business and is an extremely friendly young lady. It mentioned that there was no store front and she is only available by appointment. I called and inquired and she said if I came an hour later she would be ready. She gave me the exact address and I had no problem with her directions. Now, although waxes themselves are really never pleasant, this wax went very smoothly. It was probably the most bearable wax I've ever had. Carolina does a great job making you feel right at home. She uses a nice wax for very sensitive skin like mine, and it was fast and relatively painless. If I lived in Galway, I would be a loyal customer and never go anywhere else. I whole heartedly recommend Carolina. There are many more reviews on Facebook if you look up body waxing in Galway.

The girl who…read moregreeted me when I walk in seemed to be in a bad mood by the looks of it, and my appointment was 10 minutes delayed despite it being 12am on a Monday morning with no other customers. The girl who removed my nails was quite rough, but did an ok job since they came out fine afterwards. The salon itself is really small, and you have to go up a narrow staircase to access it (no disability access). They also do hair and beauty treatments, as well as eyebrow threading which is quite cheap. My main complaint would be the staff though, they are not the most friendly. The service itself was quite ok, but I would be reluctant to go again. But they do have a convenient instant online booking system for appointments.

I spent 2 years trying different salons in Galway & finally 'came home' to Kulture Kurl about 3 years ago. My hair was in dreadful condition when I first started but that has all changed for the better. There is a real and evident commitment in problem solving & in doing what is best for the customer. I get a colour every month and highlights every 3-4 months. I've never has as many compliments. My mother who lives 90 minute drive from Galway now comes along too, after cancer treatment her hair was also in poor condition. Her last comment is that her hair is as good as it was 40 years ago. There is a very supportive rapport between staff & customers - we always leave in great form! Top marks!

Hair: I find the hair cutting quite good, but it really depends on the stylist. I always get a senior stylist since the junior ones here are not great. I've always been happy with my haircuts here, except they don't colour black hair like they do in Dublin salons, which is weird. They say they can't do it, but I've died my hair many colours in the Dublin salons. The beauty treatments here are great. Not too expensive, but the waxing can be a bit slow. However, they do nice facials, massages, body wraps and manicures. The inside of the salon is also really nice after the refurbished it, and I think it is the best and most popular one in Galway. PS: The salon is up a flight of stairs, no wheelchair access.

My parents live in Spiddal so I go here whenever I visit. I mainly go for waxing here as I find…read morethem cheaper than most salons and it's easy to get an appointment. The beauticians are really and friendly and know me well from going so often. The service is great and treatments are done very well. I had my hair cut once and the stylists are not the best, but if your going for a simple trim or colour, then it should be no problem. However, they don't seem to do "fashion colour" or all those really high fashion kind of hair styles, just simple cuts, upstyles and colour. They also do Shellac nails (but not gel extensions or acrylics), manicures/ pedicures, bare minerals make up, spray tan and massages. The Dermalogica facials are only 65 euro (Most other places seem to charge 75-80) which I find is a good deal. The prices are very reasonable, lower than most salons, and the staff are very friendly.
