Very kind girls that work here. I've gone for about 2 years and have truly never had a bad…read moreexperience. I've never been pushed to get something either, which I've run into a lot at tanning salons. I don't think they deserve the 1 star rating they have on yelp!

BEWARE OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS AND THIEVES. If you ever went to "At the Beach", these people are just…read moreas bad. I went to thier website on Dec 8th and it said to "reserve your membership" which consisted of giving them your personal information. They sent me email asking me to come in and sign up. I went in on Dec 11th and signed up for a month of tanning before my cruise. They signed me up for the $59.99 package. I paid them $70.99 with tax. I was told that was for a month Dec 11-Jan 11 and on the 1st of January (since that's when they bill), I would only be charged a prorated amount for Jan 11-Jan 31. They said I could cancel at anytime but it was best to let them know by the 25th. I contacted them on Dec 23, and informed them that I was not going to renew for another month. They wrote me back and said, as on Jan 25, your membership is cancelled and your services have ended. I called them and asked how many more days I had left to tan and they said your tanning ends on Dec 31. I paid for a full month up front, I should have until at least Jan 10. They are cheating me out of 10 days. They said if I paid the prorated amount, I could tan for the additional 10 days. That would be a total of $100.00 for a month of tanning. So, I paid for a month and only got to use their beds for 20 days. Do not go to this tanning salon unless you want to be scammed....they are all trained to do it. I have asked to be credited for the days they stole from me. If I don't get that, I will write another review. UPDATE: After I wrote this review and told them I reported them to the Better Business Bureau, they called me and said, "We have decided to go ahead and let you tan until the 8th...they decided? No, I paid until the 8th. I will not step into their business again. After a week, they called and said they were going to go ahead and refund me for the days I didn't use. Did they do that? They not only cheat you, they don't keep their word either. And their reply to my post said I need to send them an email with my address and phone number? They know who I am....they have called me and emailed me 3 times.

The front office staff was helpful, all extremely COVID cautious, with temperature checks, screening questions, plexiglass and hand sanitizer in the small lobby area. Everyone, including other patients in the lobby area, was masked. Dr Alison Fischer was professional, caring and took her time to discuss and explain several procedures and treatment options. She was also able to do one of the procedures in the office on the same day, without having to schedule another appointment. The MA during my appointment was excellent as well. I will definitely be continuing my dermatological care with Southside in the future.

My experience with Southside Dermatology has been one of the worst experiences and one of the most…read moreunprofessional places I have been. After arriving at my appointment the staff was 20 minutes behind schedule (this is the second time this has happened to me, my first preliminary appointment was also 20 minutes late to start). I have a couple of appointments scheduled to remove a couple of sebaceous cysts, different locations, different sizes, so they have different prices. As this particular appointment I scheduled a specific cyst removal with a specific price, as I walked into the procedure room, I am greeted with the question of what cyst is bothering me the most, which cyst are we removing today, which confused me because I was scheduled for a specific removal and had already paid for that specific one. As I stated to her which one we were removing, that is what I scheduled, planned for at my preliminary appointment, and the specific one I paid for, the lady replied, Oh it doesn't matter, but of course it did matter. From the moment I walked into that room, it was unorganized and chaotic. I was then asked to lay on my stomach to which I replied. I'm pregnant. I can't lay on my stomach. The assistant's eyes popped and she frantically says well, I don't even know if we can do this if you're pregnant and proceeds to run out of the room, before she makes it out of the door, I responded I had a preliminary appointment we discussed this and what anesthetic medication I need. She still leaves, comes back shortly later with the PA, Julie who is doing the procedure. They just come into the room like nothing just happened. I noticed syringes and asked what those were for as we had discussed at my previous appointment to use a topical anesthesia. She responded that they don't use topical anesthesia and of course I questioned her, why then we had the discussion about using the topical if they didn't use the topical. This is what we had discussed and what I had planned. Being pregnant I wanted to run this by my caregiver so I asked for a moment to call them to which the reply was sure we'll go see some other patients and then we'll get back to you which was frustrating as this appointment was already now 30 minutes behind schedule and I had appointments after this appointment I needed to make. The injection anesthesia is okayed by my caregiver. Why the specific procedure, pregnancy, or anesthesia was overlooked or not noted in my chart is inappropriate and unacceptable for medical procedures. The procedure begins, as it is happening I am met with conversation from the PA on the topic of homebirth (I am having a homebirth) and how she could never do that, she has seen to many emergency experiences. A conversation that is poor bedside manner and inappropriate from a medical dermatologist. She continued sharing she had worked in the ER. While the assistant began talking about her student loans and looking for personal advice from the PA. All while I am laying there is disbelief. During the procedure, I began to bleed profusely, I can feel it running down the side of my head, it was everywhere. They had trouble getting me to stop bleeding. Finally as the stitches were being put in, which was not numb, I stated I can feel that and the PA response was yes I am pulling, no other anesthesia was offered so I literally had to sit through my scalp being stitched back together. It was painful! After she finishes the stitches, she states the assistant would bandage me up, have good week and bolts out the door. No after care instructions, NOTHING. At this point I can feel blood oozing down my neck and I reached back to see how bad it was, my hand was completely covered in blood and I asked for a wet wipe to wipe my hand and the assistant smugly said I have to get your head bandage first. So there I lay, with blood on both sides of my head, neck and hands. She was having trouble getting me bandaged, I was still bleeding so calls for the PA Julie and another staff member informed her that Julie had left for the day. Her response was "seriously" and I thought the same thing! I am a patient, who is pregnant, and still bleeding and not fully bandaged and the person in charge of the procedure has already left for the day?! Malpractice. Especially from an individual who has worked in the ER! The assistant finds another staff member to help her bandage me. They finish, hand me a little bag with after care instructions and leave the room! They did not go over any after care instructions at all. She told me if I bleed through the bandage, just replace it without sharing how to do so. They left me with a bloody hand (never got the wet wipe), thick dried matted blood in my hair, and on my neck, and the blood had soaked through the other side of my shirt. I then had to walk myself out of the back of the office while plenty of staff set at their desks. No one offered any help, no goodbyes, thank you, if you need anything call, nothing.
